Title: Newbie to Jr. Member ?
Post by: indoagung88 on September 17, 2018, 04:40:06 PM
Today many users talk about #merit. And almost all members of Junior are demoted to become newbies (because they don't have the advantage or #merit) and I also experience this. Maybe I should say that this is a good policy. With this new regulation, I think it will form a more disciplined forum. And I appreciate this rule. Thank you for this new rule.

This is not the appropriate section for merit discussion. This section is for bitcoin, so you can move it to meta section; here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0

There, you discuss how to better the forum and make members do good representation of themselves and the forum. Your thread will get attention there and criticism too ;D

These steps can be helpful in the forum. Because sure the Junior Members will improve their posts to be constructive and not to be shit posting.

And I am salute you because you believe and have care in the forum.

Right, there is no point in protesting this new rule, we accept with awareness, and hopefully this forum can be much better with this rule.

So many people who were jr. Members before has been dethroned to newbies. I am among them and I am not happy at it the new regulations.  Why?  Because it shows that to me some of are being treated partially. I can see some people who have more than 210 post without merit while I saw some below 200 posts with 10 or more that 10 merits. I has been down right from morning I saw it.

Yes, there are fewer stupid pointless posts. The only thing that strains is that people have ceased to evaluate the answers and distribute merits.I know they're being sold. It's a little sad that no matter how hard you try for free you will not even appreciate.

So to get back to Jr.Member , newbies just need to get 1 merit point . Its really easy to get it , just take few hours and think what you can make usefull for people on this forum . Some tutorial or something like that . I have really nice plans to get some merit when i will have some free time , will see how far i can get :)

yes main people jr member just get there with there shit posting and they never think of making a compose and well package post that can be off other which is spamming, so i think the new regulation will really improve and be of benefit to the forum.

This is a very interesting development, now newbie’s will be forces to comment in the correct threads, where the merit source members can give them merit. No more posting on page 23, newbie’s needs to make new treads or try to comment on page one.
For some people this will be an easy task, for other the rank of newbie’s will be the end stations on their Bitcoin talk journey.

The new policy is absolutely on point, All the junior members creating posts that don't resonate, just to earn bonuses would be more reasonable.

Forum related questions should be asked in meta section. If you have personal doubts with the anyone, you may write to them directly. It will be helpful to avoid unwanted chats and some on the forum.
Since too much spams evlove on the forum only admin decided to implement this rule to the forum.

I think that is the right rule and will also make new users or beginners more to improve the quality of posting and not just ordinary posts. And this new rule is obligatory for us to support and also follow as a form of high awareness. I say thank you and I also hope for all those who are here to stay motivated and think positively in responding to this.

So disappointing to be demoted from Jr Member to newbie, what I think should have been ideal thing is to set for those who are yet to be promoted to Jr member.

unfortunately there are very few merit circulating in the forum, there are those who sell them and there are also those who have many merits and gives them to other personal accounts to participate in more bounty. and in reality spam is always present. I would say that the idea is correct but is not developed correctly

well as sad as this may sound to other forum users who were affected by this new policy, i think its a step in the right direction for the forum and newvies alike, they should  understand what this forum stands for, constructiveness is the watchword.

The rule is both good and bad, considering which directing you take it from. The first aspect is to consider the fact that someone has spent a lot of time on a bounty campaign and cannot receive anything because the account has been lowered to newbie. Just think about this

Those Jr.Member that don't have #merit demoted to newbie again because of the lack of merit. I think that the policy of this is very helpful for us because many in this forum are bots and many multiple accounts exist in this forum. This new rule will help to disciplined those people who are using multiple accounts in this forum.

Well this new policy is good which will really limit some kinda of activities flying in and out in the forum but I where am confused is those projects they are in, does it mean all of the accounts will have to forfiet it.

Well, you're right. It is easy but not easy. Why dio I say so? There are actually people who give merits to people just because they're their friends and there are others who make quality posts everyday but earn less.
By the way, you can't judge anyone, judging a quality post is subjective and so only the judge knows what he wants. All the same, this system is good because it'll put a check on multiple accounts over registration in bounties.

Once again I thank you very much for all of your suggestions and opinions here. I hope that with this new rule, we must obey and follow these rules. we will be better able to discuss quality for the future. Of course to discuss, exchange opinions and increase knowledge.

When I read post and comment like this, I laugh, I don't even care if I get a ban anymore I just have to pour out my mind, first thing first OP, you come out saying all about liking the new rules and all, am 100% certain that that merit of yours wasn't earned legitimately, was either send by a friend or so, so don't come here talking about making this forum better cus if you wanted to, then you should know where to post topics of such, and to mods, my say is, bttk mods are hungry else they won't come out with such rules all of a sudden, this is just a way to milk users of the forum, so many account was affected and most of them are bounty hunters account, of which they would want to jump back to Jr membership asap, so would have only one option, that is paying for copper membership, I come out for my voice to be heard, this is wrong, what they are doing is very wrong and it's illegal.

Truly I find the new development helpful because it will help to dictate the unsual multiple accounts and other meaningful ideas of the platform but considering the real users who were dropped down is going to hurt and as well reduce the confidence users of the platform has and as well the new development has put fear to user that one day rule might be suddenly introduce which will affect user, though the board of bitcointalk have there meaningful reason on the development I believe we will still get the merit and step high to the quality of our post and works.
