Title: What is your #1 top trading resource?
Post by: DanTalksCrypto on September 18, 2018, 10:04:15 PM
As the title says - sell me your favourite resource for information on trades. Am always looking for more to further my education.

Mine is this discord server: https://discord.gg/CCb86qY (https://discord.gg/CCb86qY)

Reason: Really simple and easy to follow analysis - especially for me as a beginner. Always people hanging around willing to help me out. Good library of educational resources as well. Worth a look.

To learn more thing about trading strategy and technical analysis, i prefer to go to trading view. In this website alot of others trader posted their idea about the next price action of different asset. Trading view is the best website to learn technical analysis and communicate with others trader.

There are a lot of resources that i used to get information or sharing,
for news i am using https://cointelegraph.com/ , https://news.bitcoin.com/ and https://www.coindesk.com/.
for sharing i am using https://www.tradingview.com/ .
also do not forget https://twitter.com/ , you can find a lot of information in there from haters, supporters even you can find a secretive news that is not on any media in there.

about telegram or discord server, i do not use it because most of them were created to fool their followers.
i do not like that kind of behaviour

Trading view will really not give you much on that, as it is more like a community of traders actually with a lot of people getting to share their own view about the markets, in which you can actually take some time to learn from them anyway, but not like it is a place where you have to center all your learning’s.

One thing is that there are so many resources you can make use of online and there are even some pretty good books you can read and make good use of offline that would really be of help, so at the end, what is most important is to make sure you are fully equipped with all the knowledge you need, and practice a little before eventually hitting the real trading world.

The first thing I thought of when I read this thread was, "He's promoting his channel of discord." It seems like I got it right in my head. Answering your question, you can see on youtube and the various videos, opinions and news you draw your own conclusion, something that is certain, all sources of information that you find will be the opinion of that person. There are no guaranteed data, so we can not take it very seriously.

about telegram or discord server, i do not use it because most of them were created to fool their followers.

true and they are like youtube guys

If you think the things you do was a good idea and it gives you a helping hand, well you can go for it. But as far as I know Telegram, reddit or Discord are just something they gathered the community in there to hyped them only and to make them believe about the good things happen in the project or whatever. It is still much better to go in trading that will give a good learning dude like this https://www.investopedia.com/university/tradingsystems/

Mine is usually this place and than reddit. Reddit cryptocurrency subreddit is a great source of news but I do not trade personally because of the news, I trade because of the comments. I read the comments on that section and I end up reading about the same coin over and over again because people get hyped about some coin and I realize that coins must be really good to get this much followers.

If a news is highly upvoted or downvoted that doesn't make that much difference to me, however if on an unrelated topic a coin is talked about constantly and that happens frequently than I try to check and research that coin really carefully and usually end up buying it. Same thing here, I see topics about coins and some of them gets old not get any replies at all whereas some of them becomes 200+ page things which tells me it is going to be something special one day.

I might be the one you looking for.  :P
Well, I am not really relying on single source for trading in the cryptography because that can lead to mis information and thus could be unrealistic to depend on. In the crypto you need to confirm the signals, predictions, speculations, news and every bit of it to make sure you are on the right path really.
I usually take advices from my friends to different news articles and rare telegram groups. Then only I start investing into different coins and tokens if I found worthy. I guess there is no way you can rely on single source.

Since I imagine that I am a little bit older than the average person in the forum I am not really comfortable with online courses when it comes to learning how to trade, if what you want to do is to watch the analysis of other people I agree that an online resource is better but when it comes to learning nothing surpass a few good books about the subject.

I mostly browse several sections on this forum, as I'm rather active on the weekdays here, and also /r/bitcoin. (https://old.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/) There's a trove of interesting information on there, and at times, I find that news get to Reddit quicker than it does to this forum. I used to browse /r/BTC (https://old.reddit.com/r/btc/) in the past, but things have changed more towards Bitcoin Cash over in that subreddit. I often browse Reddit for other things like deals on mining hardware and such already, so I don't have to go far out of my way to view news on crypto on Reddit.

I also use Google every now and then, when there are articles related to crypto suggested to me on my phone, or when I search news about crypto on Google.

One thing with trading entirely is that you will always need every resource you can get your hands on. From news, to what the community of traders are saying about something, the sentiments around and all that, which has made a lot of the news platform like coindesk and cointelegraph, then trading view as a spot where I get to liaise with likeminded traders to see if what you are seeing sometimes, align with what you are thinking. I have never really been a fan of social media when it comes to trading though as you can see a lot of bullshit from afar when it comes to trading in social media platforms.

That is always the thing as there is no limited resources online, but at the same time, you still have to be very careful what you are making use of, as there are some resources, I really do not classify as useful resources at all when it comes to trading considering the fact that you can even get more confused if care is not taken.

Nonetheless, there is so many of them as long as you know what you are researching for. A lot of people tend to look for good books on trading and then while reading use information on the internet to also widen their horizons on what they are reading, so like you said, it is always best to lay hands on as much as possible, in the sense that to thrive, you definitely will need to be able to learn as much as possible.

There is nothing actually bad when it comes to online educations resources, or trying to get a hold of some information on trades, it is what you do with them that matters most. There are actually some websites such as https://tradingstrategyguides.com/blog/ ... investopedia where you can easily get some helpful information that can make you become a better trader, it is just your zeal and patience to learn that matters most of the time and how you are able to apply those information you get to see when you start trading.

For now, my trading resource is telegram. For note, i only follow channel token that i still hold. Because i can see when developers update their project early and make my decision what i will do with my token
I am also part of many telegram channels but what I do get from them is, just attempts to pump in group some unknown or utterly lower level trading assets. After seeing their trading calls, I went for analyzing those coins and found why they did recommend one particular coin. Basically, some people are trying to bait innocent traders through these types of channels, hence being careful is suggested.

The only real source I've used for learning how to trade was 51 Percent Crew on Youtube/Facebook and Crypto Cred.. The rest is really just learning different indicators and their settings for crypto and applying them together for better educated guess zones... The most important thing I've learned over trading the past 3-4 years is you can still be wrong entering any trade, but the area you can improve the most is avoiding dumb zones, or places where price will not change direction... I used to just position trade and anything buying lower was good enough, but when you look at it more objectively, most areas on the chart should be avoided for buying or selling.

first of all is always going to be my own experience. even if I am wrong, that will still be my own mistake and I will learn from it and gain more experience to become better at trading in the future and make more profit in the long run.

second is sites like https://www.tradingview.com/ since it is a proper place for actual analysis of the market and speculating about prices and is less littered with nonsense altcoin bag holder stuff.

I will however make sure to stay away from any kind of channels like discord channels that OP advertised here because they are all filled with bad information or best case is they are pump groups trying to scam you.

i rely more on twitter and telegram to get resources until i finally determine my attitude in trading. but of course we have to filter the real news to be followed, because if not, of course we will fall

My favorite trading tool is the trading bot "Moon Bot" (https://moon-bot.com/en/). A very handy thing! All changes of coins are visible on the second chart. And most importantly, the bot itself offers interesting coins for trading, for example if the pump/dump on some coin has started. You can also choose the coins on a number of parameters daily volume / hourly volume, etc. Very convenient trading tool! For short term trading I use only this trading resource.

There is lot of spam on social networks but  twitter is great source of informations, better than other social networks. I think if you know whom to follow you can get some good informations but you need to use your brain and connect some dots yourself. For me telegram is good for following some good projects, now almost everyone involved with crypto is on telegram too. Infromations are everywhere, we need to have analytic mind and to separate spam from valid infromations, like I said you need to know to take partial infromations from many place and make a bigger picture yourself. I don`t trust anyone, so I check and recheck everything and that`s how I survive in crypto.

really the problem is by always looking at and filtering the news about good trade sources, then we will definitely get good income, because by not seeing or filtering the news it will be very difficult we can get income

If it’s for getting any news that has to do with trading I make use of sites like Cointelegraph, Coindesk and CCN. I have even subscribed to all of them and I’m getting their newsletter everyday right in my mail. Then apart from that I also make use of TradingView, and you will get to see traders post lots of helpful charts there. Finally, don’t forget about social media, they are really helpful just like Twitter and Reddit.

Take good news and make bad news as attention that we must be careful when pick a decision. We must know news always have big affects for cryptocurrency and it can make impact to market. Even we want to deny it, it still have impact to other people.

Forget all those "whale signal" channels, especially the Telegram ones. And especially forget it if it is a paid signal. I found the free ones at least, they are only sharing the trades they make, while paid ones they are making signals just because they promised to give 1 or 2 signals every day or week, so even if they don't make trades, they're forced to share something.

Eventually, trading resources help you learn something, but you still have to end up making your own research and decisions.

I think The Blockchain Today is a very nice and easy resource for people who want to start trading cryptocurrencies.
They just develop some free courses (not finished yet), but they're very helpful snd give a lot of insights.
On their Youtube channel he is also doing some technical analysis and not only on bitcoin but also including some other stocks now and then.

My tip would be to read the course they're making now at https://theblockchaintoday.com/trading-university/

Also youtube channel "The moon" is a nice resource I think personally.
