    The creation and subsequent release of Satoshi Nakamoto’s “Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System” was the world’s first major foray into the world of decentralization, cryptography,  and peer-to-peer networking. Not only did this new technology allow for an individual to safely and efficiently transfer a store of value across long distances without the need for a centralized institution as an intermediary, it finally allowed for one to become self-reliant in regards to managing their funds. In particular, though, the past few years have seen the value and benefits of these networks finally begun to be realized by the public. Ever since the world took notice of Bitcoin’s historic growth in December of 2017, the notion of the blockchain as a technological asset has been on everyone’s mind. As a result, the potential for its widespread adoption and usage is highly likely if not guaranteed. If this possibility comes to fruition, is highly likely that a large number of centralized institutions will be affected--even casinos. It is our goal with ShardBits to spearhead this decentralized revolution and put the power back in the hands of the individual.

    The ShardBit project was created to facilitate the further development of the ShardBits cryptocurrency and the ShardBet platform as a whole. Although each individual piece of the ShardBit ecosystem works in sync with the rest, both the currency and the platform are inherently separate modules. The currency in itself is solely meant to be used as a medium of payment for the platform, and supplies the main bankroll for each DApp created, which in turn gives the currency a use case. To illustrate this, and the rest of our ideas for the development of the ShardBit project, we've launched a proof-of-concept DApp called ShardCrash, a BustaBit clone with quite a few improvements, and configured it to work with ShardBits. The core functionality of the game, however, is pretty much the same, and thus a seeding event a la Bustabit's initial seeding event is in order.

    We have generated a chain of 10 million sha256 hashes, starting with a server secret that has been repeatedly fed the output of sha256 back into itself 10 million times. The sha256 of the final hash in the chain is mentioned below, by publicizing it here we are preventing any ability to pick an alternate sha256 chain. ShardBet will play through that chain of hashes, in reverse order, and use the hashes to determine the crash point in a probably fair manner. Also, to avoid criticism that the chain was carefully chosen to generate lots of "bad" crash points, each hash in the chain will be salted with a client seed, which we have no control of. The client seed will be the block hash of a ShardBit block that hasn't yet been mined: Block #500.

Hi everyone,
I'm following Bitcointalk since a long time, yes I'm only a newbie even if my account is from 2014. The reason of that is because usually I find my answers simply reading posts and threads where usually I can find everything without posting and repeating questions already made or saying absolutely futile sentences.

I've seeing a lot of projects starting, some went well, some some had problems at the beginning but then they did it, and most of them just didn't make it, especially lately a lot of announcement and starting blockchains that are just amateurish from people who think it is easy to launch a new coin (in fact it is) but then completely unable to maintain it and whenever there is a problem they just don't know what to do and they just disappear leaving the project and the coin simply to die.

Not to talk about those devs who makes a pre ann fixing a date for the start of their blockchains and at the moment to launch... their are compiling wallets? The blockchain stuck? Webpage is a work in progress? Whitepaper is to be made soon? I don't get it, you didn't had time to prepare yourself?

I really think that devs should get everything ready before even thinking to make an announcement in any forum, would it be with a launch date or simply an ann when everything start, doesn't matter, what is important is that they start prepared and with everything needed, not just "done as soon as possible" or "to be announced". If you have to use those sentences, your starting your project on the wrong foot. Maybe you'll go to the moon anyway but for sure your not showing seriousness in what your are doing and your showing me a not constructive way to manage projects.

Today I came across this thread (ShardBit), thinking at one of many that you find lately in BCT, click, read, close and never come back but I was surprise scrolling down the ann about what I've found. No fancy graphics, no big blabla about make a lot of money but simple and clear info about the coin, features, prices, how the blockchain/system/masternode is suppose to work and most of all, there is everything from the beginning, even a wiki page.

So I'm not saying that this project is the best or it will for sure make you rich, but it show that devs are taking their job very seriously and that they know what they are doing and  trying to do the best they can to make this project successful. And those things are something that is gone missing in crypto world lately. If they continue to put this kind dedication on this project, for sure they will achieve something.

I like exchanhes in plan CB, CREX24 and Cryptopia later.

The project is interesting, but the supply is high and perhaps has the possibility of changing the concept of inflation. In technical terms the reward of masternode is profitable and its algorithm seems favorable for mining. The team is new and seems to be willing to demonstrate the true purpose of the project and is currently being waived of criticism.

I'm always interested to see when new Casino based crypto pops up, these guys seem to have a good team about them and seem serious about this project. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes in the future for them.

This is not common knowledge, assuming that a pre sale is being used for a listing is incorrect.  This is not my first rodeo.  The only thing that should be assumed is that the idea of pre sale coins of a cryptocurrency or token of a blockchain project is that the pre sale is an instrument to raise funds for the development of the application not to get listed on an exchange. RVN, PGN and HANA must of had the funds come out of thin air since they did not have a pre sale.

On discord I was told that there was a staking bug in the first wallet ver 1.0.0.0 and to update to new wallet ver 1.0.0.1

Lets try to spread the hashrate a little bit over different pools, at the moment nearly all hashrate is on acpool.pro. Somehow most hashrate on arcpool.com has disappeared.

It went something like: We haven't succeeded in selling anything in pre-sale(though @DATADEV have earlier claimed to sell a mn for 0.3BTC) we really tried and we are sorry. something like that.
I guess that not many poeple got a chance to read it though.

The tough conclusion: this was obviously a scam, from top to bottom.

EDIT: regarding a possible community takeover, you would need to secure the 400mil pre-mine.

I had some hopes of seeting up my first masternode with this coin since mining coins was relatively easy.
I mined with one rig last weekend for 3 days and got all the coins needed, would you pay the amount of btc they asked for something so easily mineable?

This coin was is young so i highly doubt anyone will pick up this coin and develop it.

It was easy to mine and unrealistically expensive in pre-sale.

They asked 100 sats per shdb , which was quite frankly ludicrous.

Think about that for a second. the block reward was POW-2000 POS-2000 and MN-6000. So 1 block of an entirely unknown and completely unproven coin should supposedly have been worth between 200-600k sats, or 12-36$.

Early on there were some very serious problems with the wallet software where instead of receiving a POS-reward of 2000 some of us saw 4400shdb magically disappear from wallet.

I was promised a refund for that, but it never happened. I was trying to sell some at one point for 50 sats I think, resulting in an instant complaint message from dev @Mairon accusing me of devaluing their fantastic asset.

Let's get real people. This was nothing but a quick cash grab exit scam. Red flags everywhere.

Let us take comfort in the fact that they did not amass a lot of funds.
