A lot of folks do not understand what it means to the patient, most especially when it comes to cryptocurrency. Crypto is not a ponzi, where you just come in with the mindset of rushing out. Which is why many fall victim of scam projects and shit coins.
When you want to invest into any project, no matter how attractive it might look superficially, take your time to study it. Know the intent of the project and the team behind it.
Whatever you do not understand about a project, ask on their social media. Most times, telegram is used as a channel for open communication. So ask questions until you are satisfied.
Therefore, patience is key, because every other factor (intelligence, smartness, astuteness, experience, name it) will look useless if not taken into cognisance.

Patience is the reason why so many are falling victim of scam projects. they are fooled into believing that if they buy and "bag hold" but call it patience then they will make a lot of profit. whereas in reality they are bag holding and losing money as prices continue to fall.

altcoins are mostly pump and dumps. when you buy into the pump you must sell before the dump begins or you will end up losing 80% or 90% of your investment. just ask thousands of newbies who have been losing that much in the past 9 months because they had "patience"!

I think that patience is the key bitcoin hodling, because if the price skyrockets many of us will gain maximum profit. But for altcoins i think that being a day trader or a full time trader will lead you to much more profit and less loss. I heard about the theory of HOLD TO DIE.
which is HOLD the share as the token cuz the enterpreneurs need financial to develope the project, so that they build the ICO. then people come and get token with discount price. But the problem is people who is surfing always sell token as soon as its value increase just a bit only. Imagine that all tokens are about to sell then what happen to the project.

Patience is really key factor in almost every life endeavour. It really helps alot. But not to be mixed up with people putting themselves in position of patience. For instance when you buy a coin, it goes up, you didn't sell hoping it will go higher, then it come crashing down. In that case you have put yourself in position of patience and that's really bad.

I agree about patience. I once bought Stratis for 50 thousand Satoshi, in June 2017 its price reached 350 thousand Satoshi, but I decided that this is not the limit and didn't sell. And although Stratis is now very much down in price ,I like the project and I think it has a future. Unlike some projects that have long been dissolved in the air with investor money, because the downtrend deprived freebie, many old projects are still active and don't pay attention to the general decline. There were times when many coin showed big leap over the night. But those incidents were special market conditions and we cannot expect that to happen more repeatedly. One good example here must be, bitcoin got doubled its value in just one month of time. Yes, it raised from $10,000 to $19,500 in less than 30 days of November 2017. I appreciate your kind words and advise, but i would say that the word patience was very easy to exercise in year 2017, but 2018 crypto experience made it more difficult. It was in that same year you would see some projects prolonged than the planned time. Projects were spending more that 6-8 months to run ICO, paying was a difficult process for them and they were not listing on time.

Most of our ICO projects are bad projects. they don't really give out products as they recommend and they only care how much they attract. investors in the crypto market are the same, so the inquiry will not be effective.

While i want to believe your thoughts still I disagree on the idea of parient is the reason of being scammed,OP clearly says that we need to study well the project and the team behind each one we will be choosing to invest meaning we must be responsible for our failure because theres alot of ways now to find the legit and scammy project and if you still become a victim them you are more careless than anyone.

Cryptocurrency is far from been a ponzi scheme as some people still thinks, you have to work hard and have lots of patience if you want to enjoy your hardworking on the end ,I started as a miner and now mining is not profitable as we all know so I just left my mining rigs to gather dusts and move on to hunting airdrops and bounties ,I'm so into crypto and  with time and patience I will smile in the end ,good things won't come easily you have to work towards it

I think it depends on the timing because if you will participate on an ICO or buy coins/altcoins already in exchange in this bear market no matter how long you hold you will not get profit but if you luckily participate on a bull market you will likely to get good returns on your investment.

I believe in all of the jobs you will need to have the patience you want to reach your goals because there are no instant jobs which will give you fast money. We need time to get the money, and with patience, we can collect the money from a small amount until the big amount. Most of the fraudulent act by some projects, gas made some folks to start losing patience.
I tried to imagine what the team of a particular project I know of was trying to do or what they thought of, when it was announced bounty hunters will not be paid and that they are sorry for that, which they later reversed. Had it been people did not stand up against it, they would have succeeded in in paying.

Before patience you need to make a right choice! You can sit on some coins for life, but that doesn`t mean that will pay off one day, you need to choose right coin and sit on it for years. The right coin on which you were sitting for years doesn't always fruit well, there are times when project suffers from financial (like many nowadays) troubles and they give up the project even when they have no intentions for doing so. Nothing is certain.

Many are already losing there patience and even on media the word 'dead' is spreading on news ,some say bitcoin will hit 0$ but i don't know why they got in in the first place if they can't endure ,my advice to crypto investors is to learn how to spot the right coins because not all coins will spike up in price even after holding for years

Obviously we can tell that many have already loss their patience, you can tell that on the current market value which is down significantly.
If most of them are still confident, we might not see a panic, but like I always do, being patient always pays off, so I will continue to stick with my method of investing in crypto and hope that it will again be effective like in the past.

I think it's better to combine "become smarter and patience" together because it will give us more profit in the crypto world. The hard thing in the crypto market which we don't know is when we want to search which coins that could survive for a long time so we can hold that coins because every coin has the same possibilities to get survive. Besides that, not all projects can not always give a good result in their process to reach the goals.
