Title: Donations for Bitcointalk.
Post by: Locotoni on September 19, 2018, 05:56:36 PM
I think we all can make donations for forum, but https://bitcointalk.org/donate.html on this link is information about 2017 year. 10 and 50 BTC donations. If we donate 10 BTC we will got special benefits. And 50 BTC.

After this post. BTC price grow up.

And I think Forum team can update with different stats and benefits.

I have some ERC20 tokens to. And I think if we can donate with ERC20 and ETH to.

For example, forum admins can make 2 donation address.
1 - BTC wallet (for BTC donation) - with minimal 0.5 BTC donation (+ benefits).
2 - ETH (erc20) wallet (for ETH and ERC20 donation) minimal 15 ETH donation (+benefit)

We want save the forum. And all forum members can donation with small tokens to.

I have a lot of tokens ERC20, I will give it all to the forum if they want to get them. ;D ;D Why do you think we should donate a huge amount to the forum? unless you are too rich. I think the remuneration for the administrators is worth it, but they certainly have another source of income.
Back to the problem of donating money to the forum. You can sell those ERC20 tags to BTC and send it to the forum if you want. unless they have no value  ;D ;D ;D

Why would there be a minimum donation amount? The forum accepts any Bitcoin donation from anyone at any time.

in old time, when person donation with 10 BTC - or 50 BTC, on forum profile - got "DOnator" + some bennefits.
i like different profile, 10 BTC is so huge money for me now, and cant donate for "donator" name. and if its will low then 10 BTC, i think donate for name,

There have been statements from administration that there is no plan to decrease these amounts.  However, I wouldn't be surprised if you were given the option of purchasing a higher level than Copper Member for much cheaper than 10 BTC in the future.

Bitcointalk forum was created by Satoshi Nakamoto himself. I think it is in keeping with traditions payments are still preferably made in his coin- bitcoins. You can always contact Theymos to before making  payments or donations to the forum, he may have a way around it for those who wish to donate other coins

theymos multiple times said that currently forum don't need donations. They get enough revenue by selling ad slots. Also, there are more than enough BTC in forum reserves. And with new rank requirements Bitcointalk will get BTC from people who are buying Copper memberships.
As said above, you can donate less than 10 or 50 BTC if you want, you just wont get VIP or Donator then.
It's Bitcoin forum, why they would need to accept altcoins for donations? It's just extra hassle. And probably people would just dump their worthless tokens if forum will start to accept ERC20 donations :D
