Well that user is the most generous merit sender IMO. S/he should be listed in here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=topsend)!  :P

Most of merit spend on local board. Although I don't know language but it's seems to me clear merit abuse. Hope DT will handle it. His last post on March 29, 2018. That's means he just woke up for merit abuse  ;D.

How can you suspect a case of a merit abuse if you don't know the local language? It's understood if the account is generously giving out merits for the newbies to ran up provided we know if the legit posts are being counted. I don't see any merit abuse to use a DT member here.

This sure is suspicious. Some of those posts he/she merited belongs to a spam/old threads, Like this (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2552576.msg39508235#msg39508235) which was on a page 65th on a 130 page thread. Posted on June 6th.
He/she even merited a facebook link (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4622790.msg43417759#msg43417759)?
One liner posts he/she merited:

It's either he/she has lots of free time to search for these posts of newbies and giving them merits to rank up or these must have been his/her alts.  ::)

Most of those accounts are russian, I read here on forum one guys sold his merit for 10$ each, now with the high request of merit, the value can be even 15$/merit, so nick777 could evend sold all this merit for almost 1k $.
It's hard to say if he passed the merit to alts or sold it.

The flip side is, they will eventually get out of sMerits to send/sell. And if we have additional restrictions (more merit required for reaching a rank to wear a signature) down the road, that would be the end of hundreds of thousands of signature bounty abusers, as they will be out of merits to buy/send to their alts.

Speaking of "legit" posts:

Agree with the post above. It so happened that I underestimated the project PundiX and just flipped after ICO. Now I have bought and very much believe in this project :)
I think ETH and Neo are very similar and Neo can soon catch up with ETH on capitalization. When this happens, the price of Neo will be greater! I would buy Neo

And so on. Facebook report? Yeah, not abuse  ::)

I honestly think 1 merit is too low amount to rank up account. Much better solution would be 5 merits to reach junior member rank, I am pretty sure giving negative feedback to one hero member account won't solve shitposting issue on 49+ ranked up junior member accounts.

Noticed this account yesterday. The account has been auto-locked for possibly being compromised but there's some obvious shenanigans going on here. The last two he merited are registered the same day:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2281861     elinabest July 14, 2018
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2281269 svetlankabtt     July 14, 2018,

These two were both merited back to back and have 797 in the name:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1962701 kriptosan797 March 21, 2018

These two merited back to back and registered a day apart:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1549642     kameoromeo December 30, 2017

Both merited back to back:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1817565     Vovan777     February 09, 2018,

Can't say whether they're all alts of the op or he's just selling the merit but they should probably be tagged for abuse either way.

Edit: this one was banned for copy and pasting yesterday:

Nice catch. We can't say they are all alt but most likely every single pair are most likely alt expect 3rd one. But I don't think they will tag for alts. They should tag for merit abuse. I am pretty sure they buy/sale Merit. I am not sure about merit receiver, but looks sender has got tag.

Looked around 5-6 ethereum address from people who got merit from this users and I can't find any links between accounts I think nick777 is a hacked account or a merit seller.
We can have some alts here but they seems not be owned from the say person.

This shouldn't be in an argument anymore clearly all of the posts merited are not even worthy of just one merit as all of them are trash, we all know he is just giving one merit because he wants to rank up this newbie accounts to jr. member accounts. And the timing? Certainly without any kind of breaks and rapid sending of merits means that he plans on giving it away to targeted newbie accounts. This merit abuser most certainly made the new merit requirement for newbies trash on what he did. Nice catch Veleor, this guy shouldn't get away from what he did.

It will be more significant if all or most of the accounts merited are those demoted Jr Member account. It is obvious something went on.

Its really hard to say that something else is not going on here at the same time it will take more than this to establish a case of someone cheating the merit system for several reasons even though all of the merits happen the same day with short timelines between the distribution

1. The language is in Russian and except there is a Russian that would blatantly admit that those posts that merited were outright garbage, its hard to know if the merits were not earned objectively.

2. I find it really hard to believe for someone to manage that huge number of accounts on the forum. Even if that individual does not have any job at all, maintaining this number is brain tasking to anyone. How many time would he have to log in and log out, how many browsers would he have to install to keep tab of activities etc.

3. The amount of merits involved here are 1 merits just to be a junior member after which there is no room to rank up again.

The merit system is just one that would compensate for the deficiencies in the long run from abuse such as this.
