Early today ethereum was displaced by xrp ripple in the number to spot with market cap of $23.21b well I think this cause surprise in the cryptocurrency world but at the moment ethereum is back at number to two spot with a market cap of $25.26b

It's good that ETH back again on 2nd in the market-cap. But in terms of Liquidity or Market share XRP on the 2nd and ETH gone on the 3rd no. Even short time of high pump attract many people over the ETH. Now have to see really XRP will be ahead of ETH or not.

this is not the first time ripple overtakes the etherium on capitalization. The ripple is well pamped, but it is not fixed in price, while the etherium is more smoothly growing.

Marketcap doesn't mean anything anyway. Ethereum is a much better coin than ripple and always will be. Marketcap is just an indication of most recent price times by market supply. XRP will fall back down from this current pump.

Of course it will, the ripple has just threaten ethereum for awhile and didnt last at all but still ripple may reclaim again the number two spot if ethereum continues to under perform in the crypto world. Now this is a battle anymore between ethereum and ripple.

I don't care about how much thee market cap of these two crypto are. What I care about is how we could help improve the performance of each cryptocurrency. Let us not spread FUDs to the public about how eth drop where in fact, it's only natural for a volatile investment.

But most of people care, there's no way an individual could improve the performance of crypto other than giving chunk of hash power so that the crypto could get faster, basically that takes so much resource to begin with so I don't recommend

I'm still worry about this situation because it can't be considered asbulltrap and the market tren will be reverse as soon as possible. Etherum and ripple try to recover itself but this will not be so long because ripple down tren chart has appeared. This is so difficulto predict but infact that but this could be considered as another short term hype.

Fair value for ETH should at least be 1000 USD, don't believe the culturally Marxist bullshit of its prepubescent founder, he has no clue about

how market forces operate. In fact Buterin might be the number 1 reason why ETH lost so much momentum, he was silent when it was pushing

1400 USD, recently after it dipped below 200 USD, he says explosive price appreciation is a thing of the past, the guy is an amoral wanker,

probably even more unscrupulous than Charlie Lee...

Ethereum is extremely undervalued and Ripple is overvalued. I don't thing that ripple can hold the number 2 spot in a real market. At the moment it is just full of whales and market manipulators, ripple is already going back down now

That is indeed true, not just ethereum, many other altcoin also showing the change on their growth.
All i can do is hope that the market will be getting better in the next future.

oh yes, it's fighting it's spot between XRP, i really wonder who is pumping the XRP coin, let's see how it turns out.

In my opinion there is no need for a race for who will be the 2 or 3 in the top 10 and I believe there is a need to develop the market per way. So much of the market can be found in Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP and the other currencies, still seeks a space or a portion in this market. With the increase of XRP, theories and concepts are being mentioned to understand or seek what is happening suddenly and this is not nostalgic. To finish the market need incentives and not disputes.

There was quite an interesting battle for the 2nd spot in terms of market cap today as huge XRP pump placed it to 2nd spot and then small dump in Xrp and some pump in ETH helped ETH to regain its 2nd spot in terms of market cap. This showed that if XRP will have some good pumps it can easily surpass ETH but we have to take ETH market also in consideration as its also in the dip for a while as we have seen ETH and BCH remained in more dip compared to other good coins. Had some PUMP in both coins was happy but now small decrease in price hoping for some good market situation :)
