I started researching and investing in Bitcoin from February 2018, at that time 1 BTC was priced over 8k $, I bought 20BTC and then the price started rising. When looking at Bitcoin price charts in December 2017 I was very happy and thought I was lucky to invest properly! Then 2 months in March 2018, 1BTC was priced at over $ 11k, I was happy and decided to buy another 50BTC, I thought I would be a millionaire! But not! Then the price of BTC started to fall and I lost a lot of money! I was scared and did not understand why the price of BTC decreased! As well as buying BTC, I was fomo, invested a lot of money but did not understand what I was doing. Then I calm down and explore the market, and I realize that everything has its causes and rules! I started the trader and gradually recovered the lost money! I know a lot of people like me, invest their money without knowing what they are doing! I advise people to research thoroughly before bringing money to the market! And according to my personal opinion, the upcoming Bitcoin will drop to about $ 5k before rising again! invest your money wisely, it is your decision! good luck guys!

Well I think the crypto market has been that, do not follow multitudes to invest into the market, always make sure that you understand the market as well, and do not also FOMO into the market, again DYOR before investing a penny, as well know when to enter and exit the market. First of all, I'm sorry for your current situation. You have purchased a very large amount of Bitcoin. But first I must say that the decision to purchase a second Bitcoin was wrong. Never connect all your money to a single investment tool. You can find another investment tools. You should find. But there is nothing to worry about. Bitcoin will soon begin to rise again.

I'm not blaming you for investing huge amount on Bitcoin. But at least you should have understand the risk involved. And it looks like you didn't do any proper research either because you admitted that you FOMO and thinks that crypto will make you a millionaire in no time. Sadly though, we went on a bearish trend and the rest is history.

Good though as a newbie you have made a successful recovery (or maybe you are just lucky because its really hard to make money out of a bear market). So let this be another example not to be suckered and believed that crypto is a get-rich-scheme because its not.

Basically when you're done buying you think you're going to become a millionaire for buying bitcoin, but prices have fallen. Why you do not find out thoroughly participating in bitcoin, you just bought this bitcoin to learn about it. That is a mistake that has not been thoroughly investigated.

you never lose unless you actually sell at a loss. prices move up and down.

although there is a chance that the price could nip below the $5800-$6k support line held since november 2017 this  would not be due to trading Hodlers. but due to at worse some new mining asic releasing in october which if the hashrate does not increase equal a mining cost decrease for those running the more effienct(cheaper cost) asics which could prompt them to sell for less.

but the percentage of coins mined in such case vs the coins that circulated/traded above the $6k line wont present much of a threat to turn the price downward by much.

it would have to be a world collapsing tragedy to do that.. which the recent network effecting bug this week seemed to have not caused such negative impact.. just a temporary slip to 6100 and then suddenly up to 6700 so.. chances of a $5000 are very very slim

the $5800+ supports of the last 10 months have been tested alot and it seems no one is foolish to break it.

as they say never sell at a loss and the UTXO movements and current mining costs show the majority over 65% wont sell for less than $5800(i would say more but its not been that long since the most reason Low test)

bitcoin prices are very volatile, sometimes rising sometimes also goes down, but the experience you convey is very motivated by you, that you have to look well at market movements, especially if you invest with big capital, of course patience is needed.

My thoughts are your money is still there it is not lost at all, You still had your invested bitcoin of 70 BTC perhaps, The value only decreased you haven't lost any bitcoin at all you just didn't know what to do when the price drops, You should exchange it with fiat money then when the price reached it floor value you will then return it to bitcoin again, Well this surely is hard to predict because  your going to speculate when that will happen this is the risk you should conquer with cryptocurrency.

According to your story, you've invested on bitcoin without any full knowledge about it, For thinking and believing that you can become a millionaire instantly. Which means, you've became greed otherwise by that time without thinking the consequences for the decision you've made.  But in the end you are still lucky, because you recovered your losses in trading, where you made the right a decision to do some research in trading anyway. Bitcoin is volatile where most of the time there is in motion happened in the market, so we must be aware and ready to take risk  whatever happen in the market whether it goes up or not.

Okay, so you bought a lot of bitcoin. But why you following unknown altcoin or token bounty? And you said the same thing in 3 different threads, looks like you get paid for bumping those thread.

after 2017, many people bought bitcoin. and in 2018, everyone panicked that they had lost their money. I'd wait a little bit, though, if I were them. because the growth will be, necessarily. and more than in 2017.

You are right, we don't loose money here unless we sell cheaper than we originally bought our btc funds.
It's good that crypto market is different than Forex market and we don't need to cover our losses.
Only what we need is patience and to ''hold'' until bitcoin value rise again.

I don't understand what investment strategy you are doing, because usually, I sell my assets when the price goes up, and wait for the price to go down to buy again, it proves to have a lot of advantages in my investment. Investing in bitcoin can only be patient people. After all, its recovery can take a long time. But you don't have to worry. Market growth will happen very soon and you will get your investment back. Some bought bitcoin when it cost 20K and now they will have to wait long enough until it exceeds that limit.

Investing in any coin without knowing about its pros and cons can be lead you to loose your investment so always invest after doing a market survey. Bitcoin market is down for almost 9-10 months due to banning and other monitory department's action but in 2019 bitcoin will rise again and we all will get profit.

You do not lose money from bitcoin, it just bitcoin is down and has big difference from the price when you bought it. You have to wait patiently till it recovers because it is not always bullish. Remember that it is not easy to get rich on it if that's what you expect. Putting all your money into it is big risk, you must understand how it really works before you make a decision.

Yes, start from the last year 2017, the price of bitcoin is increasing more and more. all people think that it will happen until the end of this year, but no, its only in March of 2018. after that, we can see that the price is going down more and more dip, i think in that time there are many people that lose ther money because of bitcoin

Well, you were in FOMO my friend. People who always chases money without any basis will always tend to lose at the end. But hang on there.

in order to get many benefits you must be extra patient, if not all your efforts to get everything will be in vain. so if you invest, provide money how much you can afford to lose, so that you are not too disappointed someday.

I think you made mistake in the past, you bought more btc when the price was going up in march 2018. When the price was rising, you should sell your coins because you may wouldn't have such chance again later in short time. Always play safe than greed, it will keep your portfolio in profit, not loss.

Maybe I understand and I'm sorry for your lossing money , basically you purchase Bitcoin when price going up huge situation.but now everything is down Bitcoin value.so don't try to sold now your Bitcoin then you will not recover lossing money.i just say it's time to real related investment & holding planning so you can choice anything.and I believe it Bitcoin price again going up soon later few month/days.

In November this price dropped, very good in the down market to buy bitcoin and long-term savings. Indeed I would agree with you OP, before making a huge investment, one must not buy a rumor.  We must make a deep research and understanding about the kind of investment we are going to venture.  I am glad you recovered your investment.

Bitcoin is no different than any other investment instrument, because you can lose a lot of money, by trading the wrong commodity at the wrong time. The secret to the success of most Crypto traders has been a long-term strategy, where they bought coins when it was cheap and they sold some coins when the price skyrocketed.  ;)

In between those two points, traders are still making profits on the high volatility in the Crypto currency markets. You want high volatility at regular frequency, when you trade any commodity, because a flat markets yield less profits.  :P

I think there are numerous ways through which you can lose money into bitcoin like if you are interested in online betting and casino can waste our much money and crypto is good if trade it and we can make money with it but bitcoin is important for online payments over the internet we can transfer funds with out any body assistance.

1: You were unable to verify the market.
2: The time you invested when the market was pumped.

What a weird post. I expect it's someone trolling, but he's basically saying he had 710K with dreams of becoming a millionaire (seems like logically he already was, unless he was insane and invested his last cent into btc).

Then he says he made his lost money back via trading. Umm... okay? No idea what the point of his post was. It's not even the typical troll-type post of someone whining over losing most of their money.

It is always so with a market as new and exciting as this, at the beginning if i tell you that I have not lost money I will be lying, because it is extremely normal to lose money in an investment as early as this, so it is important to analyze all the factors involved in the movements of the market, and then go learning little by little.

Yes, you are right. Most people got their losses when investing in Bitcoin because of FOMO and never did the research. The up and down Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are unpredictable and don't be greedy by expecting more profit when the price up. We must know when the right time to sell or buy. Lesson learned.

Even if you're a pro, there will still a time where you will loss. But to minimize loss, then study and learn how to trade. Learn the chart. For crypto trading, learn Tech analysis, fundamental analysis and sentiment analysis. You can start by learning first how volatile crypto then learn all the trading signals so you can read and understand chart and learn how crypto move and what makes it go up and down. For beginner, it's ideal to start small while you're learning then invest little by little as you learn.
It will be great to learn how to trade manually and trade with free automated trading bot that can be set up in 10 minutes. But for newbies it can be problematic.. But I adore the Trade Santa bot interface because it's easy for understanding and using.

Crypto Market really performing bad while many people expecting it would be bullish this year but what happen is market react oppositely this only show how hard crypto market to predict. but if we think market is bearish maybe that's the time crypto will become bullish.

I think losing our money is easy, but managing it is quite difficult, so we should, don't invest in one place because we never know the conditions that occur now or later.

Same to me, i have been holding bitcoin for a long time since it was at 14000 usd and now i cannot sell it. There only one thing i can do now is holding.

When you buy bitcoin at higher price and now bitcoin have down you have lost your money because lower price of bitcoin, you have keep and hold your bitcoin until bitcoin have higher price again.

That is good you still manage yours loses and after all, you still know how to handle that situation.
