Not only can it understand user preferences, but it can help filter out what goes posted online. Fake news can even be a thing of the past. Check this out:

If AI can be used for bad then it surely could also be used for good. I think it is already a given that there are people who would use something like Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning to take advantage of other people. This could come in so many ways, spreading of propaganda by politicians, fake reviews / ads for businesses. Tech companies would just have to work doubly hard to counter that.
