I usually trust every cryptocurrency in the world. But, not for ICO. Cryptocurrency can be trusted since it decentralized and cannot be faked in any way.

Vaste question and there is so many answers !

For my part I trust a new one if there are at minimum :
 - Added value of the project
 - Good team
 - Clear vision for the project
 - Clear description of the project, supply, distribution, ico details, steps to achieve... I.E = white paper

New obscure coin with only marketing, looking only for price and exchanges, copy/paste from other thigs are just here to take profit.

There are lots of factors to consider when it comes to trusting new cryptocurrency. First, you should make sure that the people working behind the project are trustworthy and brilliant individuals. You need to consider this first for we are investing into the project. The second factor is to make sure that the project being introduced into crypto space is usable and has lots of ways to offer than any other existing crypto. Lastly, the number of investors that are coming into the project who wants to be part of the success of its ICO. There are still so many factors to consider for us to trust a new crypto.

I have a suspicion that, for most people, the honest answer would be "greed".  ;)

These days, with new tokens becoming so prevalent that it's largely just an amorphous blur backed by nothing but hype, I don't even tend to acknowledge the existence of anything new.  For me, trust only comes from being well established and proving that the coin is robust and fulfills a purpose.

I was wondering what is being referred as a new cryptocurrency and I assumed maybe rightly, that he/she is referring to a new altcoin.

I thought we know the name cryptocurrency as a generic name that covers all coins from blockchain or digital currency. So maybe the topic would have come in another form rather than cryptocurrency.

If projects are part of other larger projects and have a strong team then I trust them. I think the creation of an ecosystem and a community is an important part of the development of top cryptocurrency

Many things can make a new crypto believe. Development and a good approach from the team, have the vision and mission, the right goals, something that is real and realized.
Crypto is only managed by a team that has confidence in its performance, every new crypto will definitely make it more useful.

I don't trust new cryptocurrencies.
All ICOs have is a whitepapet, a road map and promises. There's really not much to trust.
Investing in ICOs is a gamble. The only plus that can give me a certain degree of confidence, is if it is run by a pre established co-operation or company.

I rather invest in tradaeble currencies.

I trust a new cryptocurrency if it meets the following:

1.clear goal, strong dev team

2. strong community support, a lot of advertising

3. fair distribution

The market is so oversaturated with cryptos that it's really hard to find something new that looks legit. It's so easy nowadays to hype a coin and make it look that it's the most innovative crypto in the market, it's also easy to copy-paste a whitepaper, change a few words and make it look like it's yours.

I guess it all comes down to how well it does in the market after a few months, if it can survive without looking like a pump and dump shitcoin which gets hyped every now and then, perhaps it could get my attention, I would also have to look at the team behind it, how many people support it, and trading volume.

Many reason which are base for investing in bitcoin and other crypto currencies and i would like to say that i am investing in ICO and for me the first thing to check is the expert opinion about that ICO then i come to the team of that ICO because if team is good they will do best work for that and in these days many ICO scams have create a fear among the people about whether to invest or not and i hope that bitcoin is the best option for investment now.

I trust any new Cryptocurrency with good product that is applicable to the real world and not just based on what is written on the whitepaper alone as that can be copied.

I do not really trust the new crypto-currencies, although I am sure that among them there are worthy coins. I prefer to invest in known coins that have already shown a certain result

I think that you can trust new crypto currency because it is the best currency ever, to my mind, the digital currency has many great advantages in comparison with the standard money

It needs to have a good and identifiable team behind it. Not to say that all projects are bad if the team decides to hide behind a monitor, but there is more chance of success if the founder travels to conventions and does meetings with new potential partners.

Not every new currencies are good to trust! It depends on their project, the team's activity, work plan, and of course product value. Every big and stable coin were a new coin one day! You just need to research and trust! If a project continuously updates their work process, if they follow their roadmap and whitepaper then you are good to believe that new coin!

I agree with you in that not nay new crypto is to be trusted. Like you say there are many factors one weighs before approving an ICO as a good and worth investing project, especially with the scams on the rise.

Well, they are the ones who are creating new tokens by now. Mostly.
I do not see any projects anymore which relies on staking or mining. I think that kind of idea have been buried because of the ICO that came out.

As to trust issues, checking the team behind it should be the main purpose. See their legitimacy or if they are real people. A video chat would help.
For its market, if it will bloom or not. Check their whitepaper and the roadmap.

at the moment I am not easy to mark the new crypto, I need to learn it first before I enter the new crypto. like seeing the professionalism of the team and the possibility of their project going.

Yeah, I feel that. If the developer can become so active, it will gain more interest and his product will be made more people curious to see and to use it. However, there are a few project that still can be success even though their team is anonymous or not shown. I think there are some reasons for that.

My technical knowledge of the code is very limited. I am not able to see flaws in a project just by reading the code. As my background is in business, I approach the analysis of the project as if it were a company.

The first thing I notice is who is responsible for each area. For example, what fascinated me about the Cardano project was that it was being handled by people who had already participated in various projects related to Bitcoin.

I need to know what exactly the cryptocurrency stand to achieve. The problem the cryptocurrency wants to solve and how it intends to solve it. I am also interested in the project team and how serious they are. Some projects failed not because they didn't have a good product but because the team was not serious.

At first it's important to see a proof that this new cryptocurrency is working without issues and if there are issues to get them fixed soon. And it's important to have an experienced team to develop the new cryptocurrency and improve it step by step.

I just trust crypto currency. Because I think that it is future. As before, many did not believe in the Internet, but now everyone uses it. And I think that the crypto currency will be used as soon as possible for payment, fast transfers and so on. That's why I trust.

If they have real usage and the fundamentals are present then why not? But for me the current set of trusted coins specially in the top 10 are already enough so I'm not sure if there will be coins born that can get the same support as the current set of coins.

We all also notice that 99% of new coins are just copy cat of previous successful coins. It means that they won't get the consensus of the original. Just like we witnessed in Bitcoin, you coin can take over its place because the concept is original and event hough scalability is a issue people still prefer it on top of thousands of coins out there.

If I look to invest in any project. First and foremost I will be looking to go with the project details with the help of the white paper, LinkedIn profile, social media vibrant and many things to confirm about the legitimacy.
If you understand team really good and project have strength and faith on the concern coin. Damn sure you can make the money on it.

I always analyze the idea of the project and try to guess how much it can be useful and interesting to society. I also draw attention to the team and their activities.

I would say that i trust new cryptocurrency, but not all. Also, before i can trust anything of such, there are some things i usually consider. Some of which are genuine team, unique and outstanding usecase as well as one with good community.

Even from new digital coins, you make good earning out of them. In fact, you can earn much bigger percentage. Since these new coins are starting, the potential to increase their price has higher percentage. Just like what happened to bitcoin holders when BTC was less than $100 per coin. I look at the project's team, their experience, and their roadmap. 99.9% of the coins are complete shit with bullshit ideals of what they want their coin to accomplish. My favorite bullshit is the eco-friendly stuff. These coins will clean the oceans, each coin will be used to blockchain some bullshit cleanup effort or tree hugging bullshit. Fk that, I look for a REAL use case for a coin, not gimmicks like buying garbage in a novelty store.

Trusting the new crypto at the moment is risky because the market is volatile today. If you intend to invest should not invest in new cryptos as well as ICO but only invest in ETH or BTC if you want to make long-term profits but less risky.

when I first came to Crypto, I just cared about myself to make a profit. But, over time, I began to like crypto, where I didn't only care about profit.

A project that i have researched to have a working product can be trusted. Every project must also have its uniqueness. If it is not unique or i see it to be a duplicate of another project, i will likely not invest into the coin. in able for me to trust a brand new cryptocurrency it has to have a good idea of a project, something that is not done before or something that innovates obsolete technology. Second, i need to see pictures on social media that the team is joining blockchain events that is a very good proof that the project is not a scam.

For my that would be the quality of the project and the usage of the project, will it be able to help many people when they need the coins for some kind of daily needs and also the potential of profit produced from the project.

I never do that, they are " NEW " meaning have no history. New need to survive and time always take part, never replace trust with new because you need to see the progress and how they face market. Actually, I used to think the same, but lately after my last year's experience with ICOs, and this year participating in some community programs, I could almost say that people managing bounty does not mean anything. Bounty managers except for the few managers on this forum do not care about the project, they do their work and get paid regardless what happens after ICO.

You want good projects? Look for non ICOs. Proper devs. Decent and helpful community. If the project thread has nothing but shillers,,, forget it.

Well, the answer is simple. I myself believe and trust the crypto because I have experienced by myself the profits and benefits of this crypto. If you study well about ICO not all ico is a scam project that you will not trust. Not now so many projects are legit and much good project for other coin in altcoins if you compare it to token it depends also in the project.

Not sure about that and look at how new coins were appearing to scam the investors. I meant it looks difficult to determine about how good that new crypto is. So many crypto in this time but only some of them are worthed to be bought by us. The visiton and roadmap should be considered as an important factor. system can't become a strong measure.

If you are new to crypto currency you need to be careful because we know that many scams are always careful not to lose money. should also before investing in ICO need to read the white paper to know about the project and not to fall victim to the scam.

Crypto is not forcing anyone here in the forum to believe in it. That's why in this business, everybody are free to criticize and support it. Like me I fully trusted crypto due to it gave me a chance to earn bitcoin thru ico bounty campaign. Then gave me a chance too to practice trade in the market, day trade, scalping and reading graph as well like reading in the candle stick. 

The products offered are attractive and also have many investors. The technology used is more effective and efficient, and certainly more different from the others. Of course it has a long future.

I'm looking at the project team that issued this coin. Well, the idea that they want to implement. Then I analyze whether to buy such a coin or not. I think that's the normal actions of all before investing in something. Therefore, there are no secrets and features. Just study the idea and the project itself.

Actually i believe that every new cryptocurrency would be better than the former ones existing. If the project has a solid mission and is willing to impact into the community then i think such cryptocurrency is worth investing/looking into.

I will trust a new coin if they have a great project and I see that they have a good master plan for their project. 1. The project needs to be well designed and can be implemented our daily life, it must find a good solution for a daily life problem.

But I think its better to trust those old coin than thise new coin because nowadays some of them are not trustworthy.
