It is is good news. But I was bullish on Bitcoin without that news too, because of, you know.. math.
Bitcoin is deflationary, the acceptance word wide is increasing, more people hold Bitcoin, so, because of scarcity, the price has to grow. As simple as that, without big news, without a hope for a new bubble. Just math.

Kind of a positive news and I think the hype it will bring will surely give an additional fuel to the expected bullish trend alongside with the future expected events.

How bullish I am in the upcoming months when their products go live? Still will depend on the current situation that will revolved once it happened. I can't just speculate things just because of a simple update.

Let's see the progress then.

biggest intercontinental exchange 'bakkt'.

I hope they materialize this project as soon as possible

How bullish are you in the coming months when their products go live?

probably will serve as a catalyst for a possible price increase, people are obsessed by ETF that only look at ETF as the only hope to raise prices. may be that we do not need ETF to see a large increase in prices.

Any good news that comes along will have a potential to turn this market upside down. Its my understanding that the Bakkt can really bring fresh money into the market specially with their "physical crypto futures". This features has the potential to attract investments from institutional investors. So I'm sure everybody is all excited and very bullish when they offering go live.

By virtue of passporting ICE Futures U.S. and ICE Clear U.S. into other jurisdictions outside the U.S., institutions operating on a global scale can better serve their customers. Bakkt’s first contracts will be physically delivered Bitcoin futures contracts versus fiat currencies, including USD, GBP and EUR. For example, buying one USD/BTC futures contract will result in daily delivery of one Bitcoin into the customer’s account. This aspect of physically delivery adds to the utility of Bitcoin, beyond simply trading.

Actually, when the Bakkt whisperings came out, I thought it would bring about some positive movement, the surprise was that the market hardly budged. Sure, this came out sandwiched between all the ETF announcements and delays but institutional investors should have sieved through the news and this should have stood out big time.

Binance CEO and others are echoing their surprise. Bitcoin should be breaking the glass ceiling and bringing the roof down. But it's just not happening, which leads me to think "institutional" money doesn't really care, or is already going in, or has already been positioned, with or without all these instruments.

Hmm the news will help but I personally don't think it will be the news that bring the house down so to speak...

What do you mean bring the house down? On the contrary it will bring (hopefully) more money in the ecosystem.

I would like to be bullish about this news however, I have mixed emotions as well. Those institutional investors are very wise before they pour their money, so its nice not easy as it sounds. Perhaps they're going to a waiting mode as well and see if speculators are going to buy before they decided to join the bandwagon.

As usual it is as if the reality of the market did not care about the reality...
Some "bad" news has no consequences...
the market seemed to be concerned about Baktt for you?

Bakkt will surely have an impact on the market when it goes live, since it's making a lot of noise in the crypto space. This only goes to show that people in this business are very much positive about and interested in it. But about the level of its bullishness, I don't think one can determine it this early. Crypto prices are very unpredictable, as history reveals. Just when we thought that it's going downtrend after the series of forks last year, it continued to its all-time high, and just when we thought that it's going bullish in anticipation of the SEC decision, to the dismay of many, it remained bearish. So we'll know what this Bakkt will bring to the market when we cross the bridge. All we can do now is wait and watch.
