This is my second post on this bitcoin discussion forum. The first one was deleted for some strange reason.

The other threads are in the newbie section because I had no other choice based on the posting rights.

Then the third one is on the currency exchange forum because a moderator moved it to that section.

Now you call me a scammer, may I ask you why? Have I scammed you?

Please post the details on how exactly I scammed you and for how much. I promise you I will pay you double the amount.

Well, at least now you are answering detractors, that's a start.

You still haven't given anyone a good reason on why the address on your domain is a restaurant...
Do you live there? Is your office there? Is it a fake address? If so, do you now that you are in risk of losing your domain because of the fake data you provided and then what? people will just see your site go offline with their money in there?
I still remember the moonco.in fiasco and the shit people gave the dude because he obviously used fake personal data when registering his domain, and guess what, the exchange closed with all the BTC people had in there and everybody got scammed.

You haven't scammed me, that's for sure, nor will you. But I think you already concluded that nobody here will make it easy for you to scam others.
Provide assurance to people that they will not get scammed when they send their money to your exchange and I'll delete all my posts and apologize to you.

I make a decent profit on the exchange itself. If I scam only ONE customer, that person will come here and complaint about it. I will not risk the sites constant profitability just to scam a customer. And again, all we do is instantly exchange your BTC for LR so there is little or no room for a scam to happen. ill try to explain:

Bob comes in the site, opens his account, then deposits 100 BTC.

He then goes to the TRADE window and sells his BTC for LR.

Now, he chooses to withdrawal his LR and the payout happens instantly.

Bob logs off and his LR is safely in his account.

Bob repeats the same cycle over and over again...

Also, the BTC wallet is stored safely offline. The liberty reserve account is secure and even if the government shut down the site, The BTC and the LR are both safe.

I am also a very old miner and a very old user of this forum.

until you're happy with how much btc/lr you've accumulated, and take the money and run.

Unless you have legitimate contact details on how to reach you if something happens to your exchange, this is a scam.

I have a quick question, can I call you?
Do you have a phone number?

What state and name is your corporation registered under?

Just answer those simple questions, no reason to go back and forth "Im not a scammer"

To respond what you wrote in the other thread, No privacy is NOT a right when running an exchange, especially when large amounts of money are passing thru you. In fact, its ILLEGAL in some States/Countries to not provide this information.

look, I don't make assumptions and I know what its like starting a Bitcoin business- I own one. The fact that not only did you NOT give us any information in the other thread, you completely ignored everyones request for information.

If you simply started a thread announcing your exchange, told us a little about yourself, all of this could have easily avoided.

Put yourself in your customers shoes..would YOU trade in your exchange? I think not.

Cheers, and good luck!

Charlie

There is NO law or Regulatory agency that oversees bitcoin or liberty reserve transactions. All we do is convert one to the other. We do not handle any type of money. We handle e-currencies that have no real life value. What is illegal about trading BTC to LR? Most people dont even know what bitcoin or liberty reserve is.

Visit, www.coinexchanger.com

PS. E- currency is monopoly money. Make sure YOU never forget that.

eCurrency is not monopoly money.
Monopoly is a board game published by Parker Brothers, a subsidiary of Hasbro.
eCurrency is a valued commodity, predominately (but not limited to) online sales.

Without getting into a tit for tat- I run a similar business as you, and if you truly believe your legalities are sorted, good luck. However, I strongly suggest you speak to a lawyer.

This has nothing to do with the fact that you were extremely hesitant in releasing any information about yourself. This whole thread has shown that, I need say no more.

Good luck and god speed!

Charlie

You've put a lot of effort into making that site, and developing an exchange is not easy :) I started out similar to you with Britcoin, but have learnt along the way a lot about the law and how finance works. Trust me, you aren't covered by the law and there's serious potential for trouble if you're not careful.

Best of luck. Although I'd advise you that the exchange market is already pretty saturated so you're unlikely to change much. Might be good to help develop some of the other desperately needed/severely under-developed sectors of the bitcoin economy. Especially since you have the skills to put to good use.

I can understand your frustration from you having the best of intentions, and feel hard done by the attacks here. But you have to realise that the bitcoin community has had it bad with scammers and inexperienced site operators. Therefore I can sympathise with the comments here.

There's so much to learn about running an effective exchange technically (something MtGox still hasn't got right). I began only on my own, but was lucky along the way to pick up a great team of various experts. The skepticism of any new exchange is totally understandable given the past history in the bitcoin world.

Also to the others: the exchange is nice. I checked it out and he's implemented some nice security features. A scam site wouldn't go to this effort necessarily by going to this extra effort.

The only way new businesses will succeed in the bitcoin economy is if people try them out and give them a chance. Not every new site is a scam.

Im very unlikely to attack for any reason but people invest a lot of time and money and passion into bitcoin. Having someone look after your coins who doesnt see it as more than monopoly money needs to reconsider their stance. Well, atleast their wording.

Good luck to you, I dont need it.

When this big scam ends, this part needs to be printed on t-shirts for all the people who continue to do business with someone who obviously overvalues your precious monopoly money.

I think people are starting to do in your face scams because others are so in disbelief that such people exist that would do such things.
