Title: Is BCH worth investing?
Post by: Fightclub321 on September 27, 2018, 10:34:08 AM
It's up about 18% now and trading at $523, according to coin360.
What influences this pump?

I don't know the reason for the dump but IMO its not worth to invest on this coin.
Though its being pumped, you asked with the wrong timing which you shouldnt apply with other coins too.
Many will answer you here that its not worth to invest whether its low or up.

BCH like 90% of that altcoins is a purely pump and dump altcoin so the answer to your question is yes and no at the same time. because altcoins like this are only good for as long as they are getting pumped. otherwise there is not much of a potential in any of them for any sort of real investment and that short term investment that you make (during the pumps) is a risky one and you have to be vigilant when it comes to selling it and getting out before the dump starts.

bitcoin cash or bch is a better version of bitcoin, with support coming from big mining groups.  they want people to switch from btc to bch.  but people are hesitant to move because bch, although a step infront of bitcoin technology, still lags behind newer blockchains like eos.  it will remain 2nd grade bitcoin for a longer time, until its supporters find a way to introduce new technology for it.

The BCH pump is directly related to the CET pump expericenced yesterday. BCH would pump really hard as it would help cleanup Bitmain's valuation. But truth is Bitmain is really strong. BCH is the largest holding of Bitmain and Coinex the exchange is one of their babies. A good CET valuation would improve the balance sheet significantly...

The difference between BTC and BCH is the size of the block. The bitcoin block size is limited to 1 MB, and Bitcoin Cash is 8 MB...There is no more difference between them.

There is a huge whale in the back of BCH. Sometimes there is no reason why such a coin can start to rise, because its developers have enough money to operate it. Of course, this proves that its strength is very powerful. I think it is a coin worth investing in.

It is a bit late now i think. Some news say it is because Bitmain has filled his IPO in Hong Kong. But it doesn't mean it will succeed. And the result of the company was until the middle of this year (BCH was near $900), but we know that cryptos went lower after.
But who really know the future? If they succeed their IPO, BCH can increase in value.

This is such bs. BCH is way more functional coin and in the long run it'll be more valuable then btc.

I think everything I understand that this coin is swung and earn from it. If who manages to catch a wave of rise and falling, then can make good money too having invested in this coin. But if you do not understand cryptocurrency, then you should not invest in it.

It looks like you missed the train. There's no reason to buy during a spike in the price, you might be left holding bags after it gets dumped. Focus on other coins which that are at lower prices rather than the ones getting pumped.

Wait for a correction or a drop and then buy during the dip. I'm not a supporter of Bcash, but I gotta admit that you make some decent profits off of it during the pump and dump waves every now and then.

it's likely to enter the usual end of the year that all altcoins will rise in price, and hopefully it
can affect other altcoins to rise again in price, and that is all the desire of each altcoin holder.

If we take a look at markets on coinmarketcap, there is a weird amount of trading to USDT. It's funny that the first two exchanges are marked as 'volume excluded', which I guess means that the reported volume is incorrect. I am no expert, but this looks like a price manipulation to me. Let's take a look at the news. Some just state that the is a bullish trend without providing explanation. Forbes says it's because Bitmain files for IPO (xenomorphe1 mentioned this reason above as well) and Bitcoin cash has something to do with Bitmain (if though there's no direct connection between these two). Now is a good time for long-term bch investment, but perhaps the price will get lower again and it's reasonable to wait.

Most of us saw that pump, huge pump to be precise. I never invested in bitcoin cash too, but I had some from fork. I sold them soon after price started to rise, that was mistake I sold at 500$ and price reached 4,000$ if I remember correctly, I could earn much more from my bitcoin cash. After all market dropped and with it bitcoin cash too, I thought about getting into it again, but I didn`t do it. All that drama about bitcoin cash, constant argues everywhere between supporters from their side is not good environment I think, so i will stay out of this coin, even others earning from it.

well if we simply look at a technology stand-point... BCH is the brand new Apple smart-phone and BTC is that old Nokia Flip-phone that only works in roaming...

Pretty much BCH makes BTC obsolete... But, nobody really gives a flying F&*K because the big players and money and attention and publicity is all on Bitcoin.

So, Good luck BCH... But I still wont invest into a BTC clone knock-off... If I were going to, might as well get some FeatherCoin cause its "Lightning Fast" Baby  :-*

Other than that, just another shitcoin trying to make its name in the marketplace.

Bitcoincash being a fork of bitcoin was very popular when it was announced some months ago. The bull sesson then helped to push the price up like every other bitcoin forks then. I can't say if it's worth investing on or not because I don't know much about it. But it may be good for short term trading.

If according to me the development of BCH will be that much, it will not be the same or equal with bitcoin. Indeed the price tends to increase lately when bitcoin prices rise too, but if it is to be used as a long-term investment, it's better to invest a little

Title: Re: Is BCH worth investing?

Long term it's not worth investing in, many of the top 10 cryptocurrencies are going to experience 10-20% gains whilst others remain roughly stable, it's just the runaway cart effect, once it pumps a little, FOMO pumps it further etc, until the bullish support drops and it returns back to a point lower than where it started. Unless there is prominent news surrounding the coin that suggests big things are planned, then don't buy into these pumps unless you get in and out quick.

In the crypto world many coins good pump over the short time many times. It's the real fact many times does not matter really coin good or not. That's why it's good to some holdings in top 10 or 20 coins. The even low amount also profitable. But don't hold for long term. Just take the advantage of high and low price according to time. Like I have the some BCH over the low price and got the profit today.  ;)

Then you should not like any project and crypto out there since at this time their prices are moving only because of speculation on future value. Most of the business dropping Bitcoin are accepting Bitcoin Cash and usage is what's really important with cryptocurrencies.

Every well-established crypto is worth investing in, but you should find good entry before investing. I don't like BCH but it's making a good profits. But let me advise you one thing: never ever market buy anything that pumps already 20% in the bear market. You buy they sell, you sell with loss after and they rebuy it from you and pump it again :) Play wise. ;)

I also consider bitcoin Cash as a dummy. But Bitmain doesn't think so. They are a supporter of a larger block size and consistently oppose the main Bitcoin developers who dont want to increase the size.

Most people are skeptical of BCH (https://www.crypto-rating.com/crypto-currencies/bch/), but if you look at the charts, BCH has outperformed BTC along with every asset above it on CMC. So far in the last week, BCH has pulled in 10%, whereas BTC has grown 9%. Although these are very close, it shows that BCH is a strong hedge in times of uncertainty and exuberance with BTC. There’s no better time than now to hedge against BTC, and the only option is with BCH.

For me My friend I don't even make an investment of BCH because I'm not funned with it.It makes me more comfortable if I choosed Eth and Bitcoin as my investment and hodl for it.
i also feel more comfortable investing in ethereum than BCH, especially for the long term.

i do have a BCH, but that is only for short-term investments.
i want to take advantage of the pump and dump that happened to BCH, so far it is quite profitable.
i think BCH is good enough, if only we could buy and sell it at the right time.

BCH has a good price if you see it at the current price,
it's very regrettable if you don't have a BCH, at least having 1 or 2 is better to enjoy BCH investment, because in my opinion BCH is the best investment after BTC and ETH.

of course that all happened because of the surge in bitcoin prices last night. after the trial yesterday the price of bitcoin experienced a price decline that was so big but only last night the price of bitcoin rose again.
maybe that's one of the reasons for the increase in BCH because they are still in the same share.

BCH is indeed a good choice to invest. Of course there is no harm in adding BCH in your portfolio, because BCH will also have an effect when Bitcoin experiences an increase. By having a BCH, of course it will also benefit eventually.

In the long run, this is a very good coin for long-term investment because I believe that the value of BCH may be even higher if the market can increase its price in the coming time. Currently the $320 price is being maintained and if you consider investing then do it now because after the correction last week, all leading altcoin is having a very good recovery. I personally will not miss this discount opportunity and will invest all the money that I have in this market

I'm not a fan of all of these forked versions of BTC. I don't think BCH is a good choice for the long-term, and I've yet to see any real reason for its existence. There's nothing BCH does that other coins don't do better. However Vitalik has recently suggested using BCH as a temporary scaling solution for ETH ( https://ihodl.com/topnews/2019-07-15/buterin-proposes-use-bch-network-storing-eth-data/ )

Bitcoin Cash is not worth investing as they had to burn their coins to fake volumes, in addition to this they marketed their coin as the real Bitcoin to con investors who thought they had purchased real bitcoin. There were claims made that bitcoin cash transactions were cheaper than bitcoin, but when I tried to execute few transactions I found it expensive in comparison to bitcoin transactions fees.

I think BCH is worth investing, several times I observe the movements that occur in the market and I see when BTC is up then BCH also follows it and I think it is easy to predict so we can know when it's time to buy and when to sell or wait for can produce even more profits.

As long as you can make a profit from BCH, that is worth to invest ;)

I still buy and sell BCH until now especially if I can get a low price, but if I see that the price is starting to increase, I will hold my buy order and wait for a while until the price can get down again. That is what you need to do if you want to make a profit from any coins and not just for BCH.

Didn't you consider the fundamental of the bitcoin cash an important thing that needs to be considered before you try to invest in bitcoin cash? I thought that this coin is not worth to invest and it much better to puy our money in bitcoin. It's not about profit but how this coin has a good fundamental that can give a huge impact to the price.

I think bitcoincash is really worth investing it is easily for the bitcoincash to rising up the price when the market recover, my observation is that when bitcoin price starting going up and the bitcoincash was also affected of rising the price of bitcoin.

This is true and BCH tends to increase with Bitcoin recently. I think if both of them can raise prices in the near future, the profit will increase significantly if you have a long-term investment strategy of these two pennies. In fact, BCH has a huge fluctuation when the market enters the uptrend stage but in order to get a higher price, this coin needs to have a lot of new information in relation to other pennies and need to maintain price increases in the most stable way

It's up about 18% now and trading at $523, according to coin360.
What influences this pump?
Most altcoins ride on the success of bitcoin and BCH isn't any different...other influences depend on what's breaking in the news and latest developments in terms of regulation.

Quote
BCH worth investing
Others will tell you it won't, others will say it is worth investing in and will make you money...but honestly it's all about risk taking and trying your luck. Go with your gut feeling with what will make you some money.

I guess it is worth to invest because if you check the price of BCH in December 2017 it was reached $4,000 that was the time of bull, so why not in the next bull run it will reach again at the highest price.
everyone hopes that the assets they have can reach ATH again, but what happened at the market this year is very different. BCH is still a worthy asset for investment, but I prefer bitcoin.

If you trust ETH you can invest in Bitcoin Cash. Seems strange? There was news from Buterin. He believes that Ethereum needs to be scaled, for this, it is necessary to integrate third-party blockchains, and that the BCH blockchain matches these goals. He said that in Ethereum there are already all the necessary mechanisms to confirm blocks of Bitcoin Cash.

But is it a good way of investing? You have ETH which already is a risky altcoin and instead of buying Bitcoin or more ETH you decide to buy another altcoin that depends on BTC and ETH. If Vitalik changes his mind and doesn't use BCH blockchain BCH will remain as useless as it is now.

I wouldn't invest in a coin that doesn't do anything and needs support from people like Buterin to mean anything.

Since bitcoin cash has been formed into two tokens, I do not think t is worth investing
It has slowly turned to a pump and dump token;

Simply diversify your funds and get better investments options

As long as you can make a profit from BCH, that is worth to invest ;)

I still buy and sell BCH until now especially if I can get a low price, but if I see that the price is starting to increase, I will hold my buy order and wait for a while until the price can get down again. That is what you need to do if you want to make a profit from any coins and not just for BCH.
right, BCH is also a good coin.
i think all altcoins that are ranked 2-50 in CMC are good coins, provided we can take advantage of market conditions.
we can get a lot of benefits as long as we are good at assessing conditions and capturing profits.

so, i think whether or not a coin is good depends on how we take the opportunity and capture the many benefits of each coin.

I agree with this, why would we invest or buy on an altcoin which depends it's price on other coin. I don't think it's worth to risk another coin rather than buying top 2 coins which is Bitcoin and ethereum.

BCH investments are working out very well because bitcoin prices are so low now that it's better if you invest in coins and wait for their price to rise and sell for greater profits.

For me Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin SV do not have any future!
And why?
Hash rate of Bitcoin Cash is only 3% of the hash rate of Bitcoin! Imagine how easy it would be to attack a BCH network.  :D

In the era of blockchain industry, competition plays a pivotal role to create a value based on actual needs. BCH is greatly affected by BSV. I think some of the main limitations of BCH have been offset by BSV and it is unlikely that BSV is a phenomenon this year. There are still quite new news of BSV in a state of skepticism. Anyway, today it made a great effort to increase its value greatly.

Well I think that the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is good for either short or long term investment. Due to its fast movement of its price, it is easy to predict when will you going to start to invest on it.

BCH is very good for investment, but it's better for short-term investments. BCH prices are very dependent on bitcoin, so pump and dump will occur very quickly.

Worthy. Bitcoin Cash is worth investing because this coin is the fifth in the coinmarketcap. In my opinion, a good coin for investment is a top 100 coin.

I'm not a fan of this coin but I think Bitcoin Cash is one of the top coins that are worth investing with for the long term.

It is like the blue chip of crypto already so it can really give you huge profit in the long run. I know that there are many haters here of Bitcoin Cash but haters will hate and investors will profit.

work it that it's really worth investing in the BCH coin because this is a potentially expensive one so it's very likely to make a huge profit here especially now that the bitcoin price is so low that I'm certain that when you invest in this coin is huge the money you earn.

I agree with you that trading BCH for short time trading is quite profitable, provide the trader have a good insight about BCH prices trend and movement, It's price fluctuate easily within short periods.

For me My friend I don't even make an investment of BCH because I'm not funned with it.It makes me more comfortable if I choosed Eth and Bitcoin as my investment and hodl for it.

Neither am I too, I have not really come across that case that will make me consider some of these coins for investment or usage because in the long run, they all do end up depending on the main bitcoin to grow in value including some other altcoins too, so if they have to depend on bitcoin, why then do I not just continue to hold and make use of the main king of coins that has already cut across all areas of usage.

Majority of this fork of Bitcoin, I do not really see them lasting longer than 5 years in the market, same as some other altcoins too. Once Facebook coin is released now, only bitcoin and maybe Ethereum will be able to compete with it, because other coins are not strong enough to withstand the strategy of the digital coin that Facebook is planning to release into the market.

There are a lot of another tokens that are worth investing. BCH is a great altcoin, but I believe ETH or even LTC are more perspective for the future, because ETH would soon release their new version and hopefully, will finally add in price.
