I got four masternodes up and running last night!  Is that even possible with any other coin?

Well, I was literally the first who deployed a MN at the network launch (Copper). I was getting 540 Divi every single minute, 5 times. :D Then a few rewards during the next 30 mins. Then 1-2 every hour. Totally I've got like 10.5k Divi from MNs and staking during the first 5-6 hrs.
Now it's slowed down as more and more MNs appear but rewards still go far beyond my expectations  ;D

Divi is what Bitcoin always was ment to be.

That's exactly what I thought when reading WP first time.  :D

My gold nodes are already paying  me more than my 9-5 job :)

It just went up the mainnet so we are only like 25% of all masternodes online yet.

But a copper can get 3 rewards in a day or 0 right now.

I got a silver and some copper and it is really random.

Got like 3 rewards within 1 hour this morning and then nothing for 19 hours.

It is as random as trying to hit the number 6 with a cube with numbers on...total unpredictable. 1,1,4,1,3,2,4,4,4,6,2,5,1,3,3,

what are applications of this another mn project in the crypto market? so many masternodes are running this huh! but this is only great for mn owners, how about the other players. after selling their coins, then what's next?

i looked for a serious mn-coin since one year. about 6 months ago, i found divi. and i was excited. good price, low coin-circulation and low market cap. many shitcoins with no team and standard-whitepaper are more worth if i look on mn-online. in my opinion the best choice for a new mn-coin.

my mn is running since 9 days.
easy one-click install. pretty perfect for a noob like me.( i hated editing the conf.files....)
network runs stabil, incomes are frequently.
reward about 100% ROI/year.

if i compare DIVI with other MN-coins (transparent coin, ambitioned team, well prepared and structured masternode-coin, easy interface. if i compare dash w divi, it's like MS-dos w windows 10). definately much more worth than 7.5mrd$usd marketcap.

For those who did not get that one I will clarify - Currency, Fiat Killer.

To be the best or one of the best currencies in the world IS the most profitable and most world-changing use case in the world.

There is no coin in top 100 who can compete in tech with Divi. I do not see any real competition. Even Dash is in the stone age compared. Read the divi whitepaper and you will realize this. And no the old coins cant just upgrade in the same time it takes Divi to implement the roadmap. It simply does not go that fast to upgrade an old coin. They will be years behind because everything about the old coins is outdated from the core and out. Also Dash use miners who will get pissed if they suddenly went 100% PoS. Same with all PoW coins. The miners are powerful. They will do everything they can do to stop it. Hint: "miner centralization"

And no, speed is not the most important factor. Every crypto can upgrade its speed more than enough to scale long term. Also coins like EOS sell decentralization for insane speed. Even Vitalik Buterin said this. But again, every crypto will have more than enough speed within a few years. No need to sacrifice decentralization for speed.

When will work wallet?

Wallet is working, but some have been unlucky to hit the bugs that will be fixed in a few days with the update. Most bugs are easy fixes though but a few are not, but most bugs will be gone when the beta testers have approved the update ready to go live.

Please do not compare Divi to shit coins. ( around 95% of all coins are shit coins )

Shit coins have no future.

 At the end of the day whitepaper is like tissue paper in the crypto industry, most of the time, you just end up wiping you ass with it. What matters is what is currently implemented and as it stands this is just another masternode coin. The one click MN touted hype is just a script that set up your MN with a click, coding such a script does not make you a comp wizard, anyone with even the slightest technical ability can easily write one up, shit you can even write one up with google if you just do the research.
 So go shill your BS to someone else that does not know any better cos as it currently stands, this is just another MN coin out of the several multitude that exist with no case use. When a specific case use is implemented then maybe we can talk.

There is no real setting up.

You just click "Deploy masternode" and it hosts it.

1. Buy 100.000 divi for a copper masternode on cryptopia https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange
2. install The Divi Wallet https://diviproject.org/downloads
3. Move your Divi from cryptopia to your Wallet.
4. Wait until the transaction is done.
5. Click "Deploy masternode"
6. Pick name and what type of masternode you want to host.
7. Click "Deploy" and the Worlds First Real 1-Click Masternode Setup software does the rest! - Would take hours for an experienced person to do it manually.
8. Wait 15-30 min and yor masternode is hosted in the cloud at Digital Ocean.
8. The masternode hosting is free right now, but sometime in the future it will cost 15 usd a month. Paid with creditcard/paypal in the wallet.

The difference compared to other masternodes for me is in the simplicity. I just don´t have time to study how to program complicated masternodes and maybe even If I had time, I still would not be able to do it. Not everybody is a tech geek. And most of the masternodes are only for tech geeks. With DIVI the masternode was set up within few minutes completely automatically. Last but not least, the rewards are just fantastic! ;D

Atomic Swaps and What They Mean for Divi

Before we dive into why Atomic Swaps are so cool, we need to inform the community that this implementation requires a mandatory upgrade to the Divi core protocol in the coming month. We are aiming for the end of January, to align with the release of PayPal MOCCI Payments but plan to adjust the timeline as needed to get a consensus of more users.

For those of you who are using Divi Desktop, you need to install the automatic update when it is available.

CLI users need to perform a manual upgrade and documentation to that effect is going to be available well before the deadline.

What happens if I don’t upgrade?
If you choose not to upgrade your wallet to the latest version, you risk hard forking your node and creating a new blockchain that is unreadable by the main chain. Any rewards earned on a forked chain is virtually worthless.

Atomic Swaps are here, so what?
As of December 26th, 2018, Hash Time-Locked Contract functionality, which is the necessary technology that facilitates Atomic Swaps and off-chain contract negotiation in general, has been implemented on the Divi private test network and we are successfully executing contracts. However, why is that important and what, exactly, does this mean for Divi moving forward?

What is an Atomic Swap
Let’s start with the basics. Atomic Swaps, at a basic level, allow for a trustless exchange of digital assets operating on different blockchains. They eliminate the need for a centralized, custodial exchange to facilitate trades and allow users to retain control of their private keys while securely transacting with other individuals, whom they may or may not even know.

What’s in it for me?
We are strong proponents for decentralization, trustless interaction, usability, and accessibility for all cryptocurrencies. The implementation of Atomic Swaps presents a number of benefits to users, developers, and even other cryptos.

What these Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIPs) enable is the ability to create a time-locked, virtual escrow that allows for off-chain adjudication. The most obvious use-case for this technology is, of course, decentralized exchange of digital assets, often called a DEX. Since the blockchain is now Atomic Swap capable, we can list Divi on any Atomic Swap DEX that meets the same BIP standards.

The first and foremost benefit of this upgrade is the ability to swap Divi and other cryptocurrencies without the need to expose or give up custody of your private keys.

There are, however, other use-cases for this technology. One such use-case would be vaulting. Soon, Divi is going to be implementing features that allow for time-locked saving of funds. Vaulting can be a great way to save up for something, create an allowance or savings account for a child, or keep yourself from over-spending.

There is also the potential to create technology that allows for refunds on transactions. Similarly to how credit card companies do not immediately pay out funds to merchants, a time-locked contract could be used to hold funds for a set number of days before paying out to a merchant. These funds could be “reversed” should the consumer not want the purchased goods.

BIP 0112 also allows for retroactive revocation of funds, which was not previously possible due to the inherent immutability of the blockchain. Scripts can now be written to have conditions that would invalidate the transaction without the need for a full reorganization of the blockchain, which is an unrealistic solution.

I know that Discord is mostly used by gamers, but I've always found that the most vibrant and active communities are on Discord.  It's way more versatile than Telegram, which I find is pretty awful to use.  The Divi forum seems fairly unused and doesn't have a community feel in my experience.  I think it would do a lot of good for the Divi community to set up a Discord channel.  Just my humble opinion!

Divi Desktop is a fork of Particl Desktop. I am looking over Divi's Github page and they do not seem to have their desktop wallet as an open-source code and no credits to Particl. This would be a violation of licensing as per the licenses used on Particl Desktop (forks need to open-source their code and attribute credits to the original authors). Can you guys point me out to the open-sourced code used for Divi Desktop? The project will get reported to Github if that's the case.

   Hi Divi Brethren,  I see the coin is going parabolic.  Cool.  Wish I had picked up another 10 or 20 thousand at 30 sats.  My question has to do with the wallet seldom making a connection with the daemon.  The only time it did make the connection I was able to deposit some coins into it. But since it is never staking... I"m at odds with it.  Please help me figure out how to connect my wallet systematically.  Like most of the other coins I stake.

Surely people have specific reason why they chose DIVI, I see the dev is doing the best by listing this coin to many exchange as possible. It was truly a beautiful first step, Can't wait to see DIVI @ 500 satoshi each.

If the project has visible team and you can still see the project developments, then, more than likely the project will be here for longer time as compared to its contemporary projects. Most of the projects die down because their respective teams abandoned their plans and move on to a new project. Once they got their target funds, their activities fade away and slowly, they can't be found. So let's hope for the best for this project!

I am looking for good staking coins for the future that will kind of bring me dividends etc. Now do I need to download the wallet to stake and if I own less than a master node, will I still make some decent rewards hodling the DIVI coin? I like that people are really enthusiastic about it and it might be one to hold against all of the other coins always going down in price and dumping because of the whole altcoin crashes. At least if I can earn through staking, that might act as a hedge against all the dumps that are happening generally in the crypto market at large? Is there also an online wallet to stake the coins or do I need to download it like all the other older proof os stake type wallets?

Divi as always doing a good job, excellent week

I noticed there is a wonderful community surrounding DIVI and this is enticing me to also become a part of it by staking some coins soon. I am a long way off getting a master node but am thinking of starting with a small bag, just to get my feet wet and grow accordingly as and when I can add to it. I was looking at some staking coins and this one looks to be very promising and developments and communication are going quite well, so I am considering this as a long term bag hold with added benefits from the staking. I joined the telegram and I like what I see going on there, so I will try to procure my first coins next week if I am able.

Their charts are also saying something positive for this coin.

Unlike many altcoins, this one is trying to get up from their July slump of prices, where most of its contemporary coins have been hitting the 1 sat-value already. This might be a good coin to look at for staking purposes. In terms of their roadmap, they still have a lot of things to fulfil so the room for price improvement is quite big in this case.

if we compare it, of course this is more profitable. many have high hopes in future, i'm also more confident with the progress where previously many were disappointing
just see more people will believe and development continue well

it seems they have a strong community, the progress they are making also continues updated. so far more and more have given credence to the future of this project, it's very good for the team to do it step by step according to plan

It seems Divi had a good year and the actual return to early investors had paid out so shout out for those who have Divi masternodes. What is still under question is how to they have money ? Who is filling their capital ? I don't see any good tech in order for them to achieve this prices ? The rumor that divi has the dash whales involved into the project is still hard to bite so from where are the money coming from ?

I know they are targeting mass adoption for Divi and they want to make their coin to be use by anyone regarding if they have knowledge about cryptos but I still have my doubts about this project and I still sympathize with them. Anyway I wish all the best do Divi and hoping that real tech will come into the project besides one click masternode setup and a strong community from a huge variety of countries ( mostly south america ).

Divi has big potential that can be achieved if they somehow make a big step towards that mass-adoption deal that they are targeting.

So far I see a lot of buyers and supporters from South America who are making big investments into Divi , also on Twitter you will find the same result. When it comes to Europe , only a few of us have Divi but that masternodes are too expensive to be bought right now and we wait for it to drop a little <3 I'm sure we will have some sales on Christmas or at least I hope we do.

As I already said this is the coin of my choosing. Yeah marketcap is thin and there is no volume atm but well... this is just a bear market. Money will arrive, I guess this will happen in the last week of december. Stakes are high right now, and in the advent of Black Friday sell-off folks are anxious to fill their orders. Happens every year. Im adamant that huge pump is gonna flip this market in two months from now. For now, Im just lying on a sofa waiting the last bears to die out.

Divi doing great mate , even if the volume is not there at the moment its because Bitcoin is about to swing in price again ...and we don't know how much it will drop this time so we have to wait. What Divi needs in time , its to be listed to a strong exchange like a top 5 exchange where the real volume will start to flow. I remember using crex where I had to wait over 60+ extra confirmations for my deposits which was not good, no wonder why the volume left crex24.

Charts looking that Divi is about to drop in price aswell , this will mean sales for some of us who didn't get the moment to buy Divi's at lowest prices.

I love the mobile wallet design! And whoever made it deserve a raise from the Divi team. Regarding volume , please remember that Divi is still a young coin so for a young coin they have quite a decent volume but in my opinion they need to make something to be listed in Bittrex ( for start ) and then slowly build to another exchange because if the bull run comes in 2020 in Bitcoin , how many of us will use crex24? Not many , so we need a better exchange until then.

I see, many of the young coins started their careers by being listed in Crex24, not many got good volumes, but many of them fail and the name is the rest. I hope the teams think about it and make the target to be listed in a better place, no need to rush.

Maybe because crex24 have very low fees compared to some known exchanges. For me crex24 is a good exchange but the problem was the volume i think that was not enough fpr the traders who trade there frequently (this is only based on my opinion and observations). So definitely, they need to be in other exchange as well bittrex is not quite popular but have a good trading volume a good start if they will be list there or in merca, hotbit. Good exchange to start with.

folks with a net worth lower than elon musk can forget about masternodes. Cost is too high, this signals that the coin may have a high risk of being abandoned by its puppets. Its too early to say this but the doomed future is more likely than a decent successful rally u all crave. Well u may or may not like it but each year we have 90% diminution in total quantity of existing cryptos. Anything like this one dies out rather quick.

Most coins are made just to make money quickly and then just left, this kind of thing is common in the crypto world, especially masternode if not really really will be faster than the desired time.

mn coins from what i observed are mostly pumpndump coins. sell mn via discord (so no need to run ico or ieo because they already got money anonymously - you cant run after them because its discord for christs sake!), list in exchanges, dump...
create another coin, find mn buyer, list in exchanges, dump...what else do you want to know?

but wait, divi might be different! as their price is slowly increasing, hope it is not a trap for potential buyers.

Very often this happens in a honey trap. The price rises, people consider the percentage and understand what is profitable to buy.

I feel from the market situation that altcoin season is coming , divi rank should up to 150

I am holding onto DIVI and been getting ample masternode & staking rewards daily.
& with many announcements on the line we are gonna see a boom in DIVI's marketcap & of course price in the coming month.

IMHO, what's much more hilarious is seeing all these guys who consider themselves "strong hands" and know-it-alls, sporting all those (very impressive) "senior member" and "guru"-level profiles in here, permanently warning of next to ANY coin being a "scam coin" :)

Apart from spending a lot of their time in this forum here, to gain that oh-so impressive status, is there really anything these guys actually know -- or are they just giving "advice" regardless? I am seeing this for years now, it is not helpful, guys!

DIVI and a good number of other well-selected masternode coins do not strike me as being scams. Contnuously bad-mouthing absolutely everything means wasting your ammo. This is dumb. That said, doing one's homework before investing in any coin, including masternode coins, and making any significant commitment (to anything in real life, actually) is imperative and any advice in that regard would only be reasonable -- but that's not what most of those "experts" do here. So thank you, but no thank you.

DIVI in particular has proven to obviously be doing something right, look at its track record and latest price increase alone, making the continuous masternode payouts even more profitable. Unlike speculative gains from only capital appreciation, regular income from masternodes is the way to go. The former are suckers' profits. The latter option is for the financially more savvy, you can structure an entire legit and much more tax-efficient business around this! Just saying.

It seems that DIVI, Dash, AXEL, Smartcash, Polispay and PiVX -- among others -- are very good choices for this.
