Title: Bitcoin and fake news
Post by: Addywealth on September 28, 2018, 03:57:04 PM
I have come to realise that fake news is one of the key tools the non bitcoiners are using to fight and create fear in the minds of potential investors. Bitcoin had stood the test of time and if it can still be standing till date then there is no cause for alarm. There is a better tomorrow. Don't respond to fake news be calm investment is never static it revolves and at times it becomes positive and at over times its otherwise. Together we can fight and win fake news

The truth is that most prediction or criticism on bitcoin are born out of fake statistics and most of those peddling it and are still the same people that purchase bitcoin any time it drops a little. In the cryptocurrency world prediction are always made and most time after the decisions of newbies. So it's important to always do your on personal research on any news. Bitcoin has done well even when most predicted and spread fake news about it going to fall

Fake news about bitcoin is permitted to fly but the truth remains that bitcoin is ontop of its game because of the solutions it profers to the financial industry through the power of the blockchain technology. Fake news are carried by people to reduce its price and they can get more for themselves.

Seeing how easy it is to verify sources nowadays, I think the most difficult enemy to face in regards with bitcoin investments is the laziness and the absence of due-diligence of newbies that only rely on others for information. Not that it's bad to take some information out of other people, but knowing how easy it is to recreate news and tamper it to make it look good or bad, it's hard to trust entirely on what others tell you. And, since this involves money, a lot of effort and attention should be attributed to any information you wish to procure or use for your own sake.

Fake news vehicles usually take a story that is somehow true and misrepresent it to prove the point they want you to believe. They can consider an isolated case as it was the main rule, they can simply misrepresent someone's speech, highlighting only the interesting parts for their fake narrative or they can subvert a fact of the past of someone or even of a society.

Thanks to internet nowadays and its vast access, the fake news don't last for a long time. They are constantly being rejected by the public and the vehicles spreading lies are losing reputation like never before. Bitcoin has a strong support that protects it against all the lies. It's an intensive and exhaustive war, but it has to continue.

Falling prey to fake news in this world of ours today where the internet is at our beck and call "surprises even the devil",
Information remains key in this system, and there abounds numerous means to garner information,i do not see any investor putting his life savings on the line simply because someone said he should or shouldn't as the case maybe.
The coinsmarketcap remains a valid platform to study the market and make your own predictions, its better than relying on unsolicited facts from someone you do not know

Together we can fight and win fake news
If what you mean is stopping fake news, thats impossible, rumours are a part of individual society, the only thing we can do is to ignore them and do the right thing.

At this point in time, it's not only Bitcoin that's being attacked by fake news, Fake news is seemingly everywhere,  we hear more fake news about Bitcoins because we are invested in it. When we do away with fake news, we are going to see bitcoins steadily climbing.

Fake news are everywhere where someone wants to manipulate, but i agree we are seeing a lot of fake news that is affecting bitcoins price. They do it because it is easy for them to do it, and profit from the swings.

I'll agree fud news has been one of the main reason that brought down bitcoins prices this year, what was even appalling that many bitcoin investors fell for it. However it's pertinent to note that in the coming months the community has grown stronger and wiser and has successfully combated fud news. I'm really happy that the community is coming together, alone we're divided together were united.

Good  point, fake news is "normal" nowadays.
Would be interesting to see how big the percentage of fake news on reputable news sources actually is.

I think that to be able to hold bitcoin we must have confidence, a lot of negative news about bitcoin and can make us desperate, but with confidence we can survive to benefit from bitcoin.

Fake news should be not tolerated and we should know how to see fake news from the real one, so how we are going to determine it? simply by doing some research and not just relying on one source.

If there's no fake or negative news about bitcoin then there will be no balance. Yin and yang, positive and negative is always present in this world. That's the best thing about this technology because of those fake news we were given chances to purchase discounted bitcoins.

This technology will not be tilted by those fake news. If Im a newbie into cryptospace and learn more about the technology then I would research thoroughly and be able to spot which is fake news or not.

We'll just wait and see what the future will bring. Have a great day everyone and happy hodling!  ;D

That's why I say that the information about crypto should be taken only from trustworthy sources, but I cannot call this forum one of them, because of its full of newbies who say what they think, so the information is simply someone's opinion here and in the most of cases its not profy, but 'just because of I think so'.

Fake news or issues will never disappear at any time, because only with this can bitcoin or altcoin move prices. This is because crypto has no connection with the government or the economy. This is really from system problems and from the fake news that can have a big impact.

In a situation like this, the level of emotional and management of investors is at stake, but if you can control this, it will give a very positive value to the investor itself.

Fake news have impact only if you follow the media outlets. I almost never do so i never fall prey to those who make and spread fake news. If you find it hard to control your emotions or decide whether the news is real or fake you should ignore all of it. Most of the news don't have impact on the market anyway.

I think investors are smart enough to do an analysis of fake news, but if there are some friends who are not aware of it, we should tell the procedure to determine false news so as not to fall into the bad news dropping the market price.

The more famous Bitcoin makes a lot of fake news about Bitcoin. Let's just say the fake news is just a passing wind, so don't worry about it. If the person does intend to join the crypto currency, they will not be fooled by the fake news.

Yes, but how? After all, panic does not begin to hamsters, but apparently savvy investors! And how can they be experienced investors, if they react so on a fake?! It turns out there is a dilemma of some sort. :)

There is something that everyone is paying attention to for the price forecast. But I think the market is now directing news. Therefore, we need to know the difference between real and false news.

I was just out for few months and when I checked the price of BTC I was really shocked. I guess this is one of the causes of fake news that spreads online. I'd would take advantage of the situation right now by adding few coins in my portfolio. I strongly believe that bitcoin will eventually recover and will undergo an unstoppable bullrun. Sounds vague but with its volatility and unpredictability its very much possible.

I don't usually respond if I know that the news is fake and FUD. But we have to react and fight those fake news to inform the beginners that they shouldn't rely on those type of news.
