Title: Are S9 controller boards worthless now?
Post by: tim-bc on September 28, 2018, 08:55:30 PM
I have a bunch of S9 controller boards that are just going to be thrown away. I can't see much use for them now that the new chip has been announced by bitmain.

Are they really worthless or is there some resale value / alternative use for them?

e-bay them.  I always keep a few spares.  The older S9s will still be running for some time.  Heck, I've heard of one guy still running S3s...

No, they are all xilinx-based with the microsd reader on the left

Damn I wouldn't mind getting one or two of the beagle ones. But to answer your question they do have some value but Bitmain sells them for $60.
