Malta PM at UN General Assembly: Crypto is the Inevitable Future of Money
At the UN General Assembly, Malta Prime Minister Joseph Muscat stated that blockchain technology will allow crypto to inevitably become the future of money.

He stated:

“I passionately believe technology revolutionizes and improves systems. This is why in Malta, we have launched ourselves as the blockchain island. By being the first jurisdiction worldwide to regulate this new technology that previously existed in a legal vacuum. Blockchain makes cryptocurrencies inevitable future of money. More transparent it helps filter good business from bad business.”

Prime Minister Muscat emphasized that recognizing the potential of the blockchain, Malta has openly embraced the crypto market and businesses within it, leading the global cryptocurrency sector with favorable regulations and practical policies.

Of course Malta has been very supported of crypto in general so I'm not surprised by this pitch at the UN Assembly, but its a good avenue though. He also discusses most of the benefits of blockchain technology and that cryptocurrency is inevitable. I would like see the members react to his view because I'm sure that not everyone share his same views about this evolving technology.

Yeah, not quite surprised as well, with the way this country have fully decided to adopt the blockchain technology as well as cryptocurrency and before long, I guess it would be glaring for the countries worldwide to start seeing the benefit it would bring about for these type of countries and peradventure, they will be used as a case study.

It is a good thing that he has used the avenue to push out the importance of cryptocurrency to the UN assembly, and even though not everyone ends up sharing the same view, I believe later on, and I am so certain when things start becoming glaring, views will change, but this is of course a very good start.

The UN Assembly is just the best place to let the other nations know what it is you believe and Malta has taken that giant step to push for the adoption of cryptocurrency. Yes, such speech from Malta might not be accepted immediately because of her size, less economic strength but I'm sure it will sink with time. Malta and some Asian countries are actually riding on it for now.

It is quite a big move for a county that adopts blockchain technologies. It's a bravery choice for a country since blockchain technologies haven't been tested for a real word purpose. This move will benefit other countries to consider the benefit of using blockchain technologies toward the development of countries.

Not very surprised that the PM of Malta would say this, knowing the position they have played highly in the adoption of cryptocurrency and looking at the way they quickly embraced the idea of binance being situated in Malta.

I guess they already recognized this potential right from the onset and believe it would bring about some pretty good changes to their country and this is something I believe all other countries will definitely adopt in the long run, after seeing the way things could end up for each country that are quick to adoption.

It is indeed a really big move and I must applaud Maltese government for taking such a big bold step. Well, it is a move that will mostly benefit the country that adopts it, so it is not really like the move they have made will have a general effect on the global population.

I believe just like Japan, Malta has been able to find a good ground, known the benefits that the cryptocurrency market will bring in the long run, as well as blockchain technology and they really would not want to be lagging behind for future sake, which is something that would end up happening to countries who just take it with levity. A good thing for him to have used this public gathering to prophecy his love for crypto and his belief in its future.

Malta has obviously been extremely supportive of bitcoin within its regulations, and this can obviously be reflected through the comments of the Binance CEO whose company if I remember correctly has moved its HQ to Malta.

It's good that they are providing this environment for crypto businesses to operate in and they will see benefits for themselves as well in the long run.

Though, don't take this too positively as they have not specified what kind of crypto they are going bullish on in the long run. Whether that's bitcoin, or other decentralised cryptocurrencies, or government backed, centralised cryptos. It's similar to Venezuela being supportive of crypto, but only those that support its own agenda.

It will really be a great thing to see this country develop hugely from the way they have embraced the blockchain technology and cryptocurrency which is something I believe we will get to see eventually. Malta is one of those countries that have been in the forefront of cryptocurrency development for some time now and this is the reason we keep seeing crypto related businesses moving into this region.

If you give an avenue for some new technology to thrive, there is no way you won't thrive as well economically and it is a good thing to see countries coming up to understand the benefit that lies ahead

It is true that PM Malta has said that Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency are the future currencies, and this is sure to be accepted by the whole world, but not for now. Like what PM Malta said, the President in my country has also made a statement that Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency are the development of modern technology, the people inevitably have to be ready to accept them.

Its really inevitably and Malta really see a big potential of crypto or blockchain that they decided long time ago to embraced it eventhough there's a lot of backlash from other countries.

UN is a good stage to send a message across so I'm sure that other world leaders who are still in the grey area are contemplating whether to accept it and be supportive as Malta does.

This is the exact kind of news we need from every UN member countries. He knows what the future holds and blockchain is it. UN is a place where all world leader meets to discuss the future of their country and if we see few speeches like this from few other countries, it will definitely speed up adoption process all over the world.
