Title: Do you share the president of Malta opinion?
Post by: Junixi on October 01, 2018, 01:22:16 PM
Have you heard the news? Giving his speech on the UN general assembly, the president of Malta said that the cryptocurrency was the future of money and the blockchain technology would make bank system more reliable and better in general. In my opinion, this statement is too optimistic as the cryptocurrency is forbidden in some countries and this situation is not going to change in the nearest future. But I can say that I like his determination to move on and accept the new technologies that some people are still afraid of.
What do you think? In what way would you change bank system? Have you suffered from its drawbacks? And how exactly do you think blockchain can change the situation? And what future is ahead of us in the cryp5ocurrency world? I know it is a little bit too early to predict something, but still... Are you scared of the future or waiting for it with your arms open?

He is obviously biased, Malta has been situating itself as a hub for crypto innovators, Binance has been getting really cozy with the Malta government:

https://www.coindesk.com/binance-partners-with-malta-to-launch-security-token-trading-platform/

So he is definitely going to have a very pro crypto stance, I agree it is good that there are some countries out there that are taking this kind of stance but the second there is any kind of suspicious activity big brother USA will come knocking.

What do you think? In what way would you change bank system?

End the fed, or atleast audit it....do something to the Fed!

And how exactly do you think blockchain can change the situation? And what future is ahead of us in the cryp5ocurrency world?

Blockchain wont usher in a huge change but it will make the systems of the world more efficient and honest, once bitcoin becomes more widely used and accepted it will enable third world countries to be more ingrained into the global financial system. I also think P2P tech that comes from blockchain will really help third world countries.

I will say so that earlier, when they said that the iron birds would fly, everyone said that it was not possible. So we will reflect, that for the person it is not clear now, in the future can become simple enough for understanding. I think that these technologies are just beginning to develop. And blockchain technology is just waiting for a push to the world.

In general I agree with it. The bank sisitema became already outdated and it needed to be replaced long ago. I think cryptocurrency for this purpose and it is conceived.

Yes, I agree with that. Now there is only the development of technology in this direction, and the fact that blockchain technologies are now banned in some countries and not legalized, it's only a matter of time when everything is cut for the better ....

Frankly he seems to be a great supporter of blockchain and cryptocurrencies he even wants fiat to be replaced by digital cryptocurrencies for efficiency and transparency, i think he has proven to be a sincere member of crypto community and with his pro crypto speech at the UNGA the world will take a deeper and serious look at crypto and will accept the fact that crypto is the way forward.

Giving his speech on the UN general assembly, the president of Malta said that the cryptocurrency was the future of money and the blockchain technology would make bank system more reliable and better in general.

First, it's a political speech. Politic speech doesn't necessarily reflect the politician's opinion.
Second, Malta is crypto friendly, Malta tells everybody they are crypto friendly, since they need investments and crypto field is one where big money is involved.

So I see his speech as a commercial: crypto companies, come to Malta, we'll believe in you, or pretend to, as long as you pay some so needed taxes to us.

good example of a strong and broad-minded character! we certainly need that in crypto. nice to hear we are not the only ones who believe that blockchain is much safer and convinient. thanks for inspiration!

I believe his speech will bring more multi billion dollar companies to Malta, Binance has put Malta on the map and i'm sure many others will follow. Their company taxes must be filling up their coffers more than any other Maltese company

The fact that cryptocurrency is prohibited in some countries does not mean that this decision is final and will not change. today is forbidden - tomorrow is allowed. The future is behind the blockchain and sooner or later everyone will accept it

I agree that the president of Malta is a bit overoptimistic when it comes to crypto. But I believe that blockchain technologies can change our future to better. Of course it will take much time and efforts to change bank system or at least to legalize crypto in many countries and accept it as payments everywhere, but still it is possible.

I really commend the effort of Malta prime minister who has been at the war front of crypto in the world. The prime minister sees that the future of crypto is bright and he doesn't want to be left out.

Every opinion can be conveyed, I think he is very thorough looking at the development of Cryptocurrency and Blockchain in the future, so it is more likely to support this system. And in my opinion it is a good idea to convey to many state leaders, to be taken into consideration. And Time will answer for a more modern and efficient economic future. Blockchain is revolutionary for the future.

Even though his opinion may be too optimistic and biased, this statement regardless if its original purpose has a positive impact on crypto adoption - after all, this is the president of the EU country speaking about cryptocurrency not as a threat, but as a valuable asset for economy on the large scale.

Its good to see a pro crypto president, im sure he will prove to be the first drop of rain and sooner or later all the country heads will follow, crypto is slowly but surely gaining acceptance and adoption globally.

The president expressed optimism and you are the one expressing doubt. How do you want the world to believe the weight of this technology when someone does not approve it? You and I know that some technologies have been doubted too but they are still around.

How do we have ship going under the waters... ::)  ???

Malta seems to be a safe haven for crypto projects and it's easy to get a crypto licensed in Malta compared to other countries. And I agree with the President of Malta about cryptocurrency being the future of money. And blockchain technology should be implemented in every companies.

Why fear the future if we are already in it. Those who are engaged in cryptocurrency or sitting on this forum at least a little bit believe that bitcoin will reach its heights and capitalization of $ 1 trillion in the future. I like this small country in that they support the blockchain for a reason that Binance moved there this year. Unconditionally such countries will be a cog in the technological development of the entire financial system.

Malta wants to be a free financial area for cryptocurrencies and the blockchain technology. Therefore, it is very natural to make such statements.

that's a nice thought! being too optimistic is not a bad thing in the crypto world, that's exactly what we need - being a bit more like presidents of Malta in our beliefs:)

malta will be the hub of technologies in the future but there are things we should consider that cryuptocurrencies are maybe the future but untill the quantum computing or maybe in future we use both technology. if banks use blockchain then transactions would be more cheap and fast

I think it is normal that some governments banned crypto in their countries because every new thing needs time until it is trusted and accepted in their system. This just shows that crypto is on the good way. I believe that the opinion of the president is an optimistic one and it can happen.

The fact that countries like Malta have such a pro stance is great for blockchain and crypto in general. For each no country there has to be a pro country so ideas and thoughts are exchanged at that level. A small, relatively easy to manage country like Malta is the perfect starting place for crypto to become a mainstream currency.

I really like how the malta prime minister turn Malta to blockchain island. Its actually a welcome development and I salute him for his contributions into the crypto space in some years back. I see his contributions as what will pave way for other countries to adopt crypto in the future.

Absolutely I share the opinion of this leader because cryptocurrency and its blockchain  have come to stay there nothing anybody can do about it. The acceptance of this technology is spreading like a wild fire globally and for sure this technology will change the future in many ways.

Malta is going to be the new playground for crypto millionaires. They can see the benefits of the blockchain, getting binance to move in is a great move by the Maltese government. Thumbs up to their president
