For visibility you can bump thread by commenting something or just write "bump" after every 24 hours. If you need modify something than simply you can edit post. If you need move your thread than you can move it from lower left. So why need make duplicate post ? If you do it than your post will trashed and your account might got ban.

If you'll create a new one, one of them will be deleted and is likely the old one stays or worst both of them will be deleted. (this depends on the mod)
