Title: Best option for 6 s9 antminers
Post by: n00bMiner506 on October 02, 2018, 10:30:08 PM
Hi all,
I have 6 s9 14.0 antminers and I am not really sure what to do with them. I am having a bit of information overload on where and how I should mine with them. I set one up on SlushPool but I am a tad confused if it's performing as it should. Are there better options for what I have? The Looking for a bit of advice.  Thanks!

I would just sell them and buy bitcoin. It's a tough time to be a miner, difficult keeps going up and bitcoin price movement remains sideways.   By the way if you fully plan on mining how much are you paying for electricity?

Not sure if you are being sarcastic or not but I don't pay for power. ;) So my electrical costs will be $0.

That is nearly impossible. Someone is paying for the electricity unless you have a couple of solar panels. If you have them then good for you, but in this case you have to take into account the payback time of the panels.

Perhaps you can move your post in this board Bitcoin Forum > Bitcoin > Mining (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=14.0) so that you can get a lot of opinion regarding your dilemma. You can look for the move topic button (bottom left of the page).

Did you try to mine in kano.is? Check their thread from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.0

kano.is pool has higher payout with less fee compared to other pool based on what I experienced.

Also, try to mine BCH.  :)

That's great, as long as you're aware of the wattage required and have a properly wired space. For example, you'd probably have big problems in an apartment with owner-paid utilities. ;)

Each Antminer S9 consumes around 1350 watts. Whoever is paying for power will notice a huge spike in power consumption.

Other SHA-256 coins like Bcash are an option too.

Lucky you, this is why people in the United States and Europe can't compete in the mining game anymore.  There are too many miners with extremely cheap or free electricity.

You won't get much help with mining questions in Beginners & Help. It's geared towards total newbies and has mostly been taken over by bounty hunters.

You're better off asking your questions somewhere in the Mining subforum, like Mining Support (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=40.0). Good luck...
