Have you heard of High Fidelity? It’s from the same developers of Second Life (virtual world). In the game, blockchain-based High Fidelity Coin (HFC), which the company says is a high-speed “stablecoin” cryptocurrency, is designed specifically for commerce, usable anywhere in the world. It even promises near-instantaneous transaction speeds and low transaction costs. So you can basically earn real money from it.

Those are now being intertwined by online gambling (https://to.crwd.cr/smtm) where digital casinos offers cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin as the chip of the games. Rewards for winning such games cab also come in bitcoins that is why many is interested in playing these online games.

Crypyocurrency have really went far from its humble beginnings and online gambling is one of its products. Playing poker with bitcoin chips is very exciting! I wonder what more induatries can cryptos can reach with its technology.

Online gambling (https://to.crwd.cr/smtm) isn't just poker. Because there are many other games that you can play and bet on that you will surely enjoy. Aside from bitcoin, there also other payment methods to earn points and play games in online gambling. There are also promos every event that comes around.

I know there have been some ICO's last year related to videogames and gaming but I didn't follow them to see how they end up. I think that's the only way you can relate cryptocurrency with videogames, trough an ICO that supports that idea because games developers are not going to work themselves on integrating cryptocurrencies in their games since they have things to do more important than that.

Video games competition can be used as an event to be "betted" in a sportsbook.  So i must say that, video games and crypto does have a relationship when it comes to this.

Crypto and entertainment platfotms like social media and video games are now starting on establishing a strong connection. Vegascasino for me is a good example of one good adaptation of bitcoin and betting games, it supports a lot of addictive games whereas you can also earn money. It's safe and secure so you can actually have fun.

I'm actually interested in MMOs using actual crypto as ingame currency rather than some virtual money with infinite supply. I guess the game would need to be designed in a way where the rich doesn't game unbalancing advantages. Ie, the money would let you buy a house, instead of a super weapon. Which games are doing this, and which would you recommend?

I think last month, there was one guy here promoting something like MMO with crypto but I totally forgot where I found that thread, maybe in the Gambling or Project development boards perhaps.

My point is that video game developer is also implementing or maybe including crypto's in the future so I'm not be surprised in the next year or so that crypto + games will be the thing of the future.

Nowadays, having the crypto currencies to video games isn't a thing that is impossible. Because now, there are lots of crypto projects that integrates online games to crypto currencies.

This is true. We at PlayerAuctions are already accepting payments in the form of BTC. It's taking a while for most users to acclimate, but the users who are choosing BTC as payment have grown significantly since last year.

I think there are already some video games that ia connected to crypto currency,
To be honest since I join crypto I always think that it would be nice to have a game where crypto is related something like Clash of clans only the money would be change into crypto ,
You could attack and loots other crypto owner something like that.

There are some apps that you can integrate with crypto's and video games. Check the Project Development (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=12.0) board and read each reference of those proposals that they are creating their game.

Those games that will pay with bitcoin or any sort of their in-game currency which is transferable and convertible into crypto's. Actually, there's a lot of it nowadays but they just lack of exposure so they don't get the attention that they needed.

Hey guys I've been wondering lately if there's some way that cryptocurrencies and videogames can relate? and how?

If they can relate, they can do it through an ICO, STO project, where Blockchain technology is used to make improvements in their technology and make the games more real and easy to operate, in fact, there must be many people right now. working on this kind of ideas.

We can reward game developers and the players with crypto obviously, another use is for game assets' tokenization. I read there's growing investment in blockchain gaming. The latest I know was Ripple with Forte.

Well, there was supposed to be a relationship between Digibyte and Minecraft, but I don't know how it evolved
There is no collaboration between minecraft and digibyte and the whole thing was a misunderstanding. Someone created a server where people could play minigames and earn coin they could exchange for digibyte but this has no relation with the creators of minecraft.

I heard about this news and thank you for the clarification.

I know that there are some crypto games that are existing. I forgot the name of the game but there is a game for NEM.

App games perhaps. I was able to play tron dogs last year and it's surprisingly fun plus you get to use your trx's for making purchases ingame. There's a huge selection of cutesies and i don't know why there's not much noise about that because i found it enjoyable 😁

I think there will be a lot of options to use crypto for gaming payments in the future.
