We have to basically forget about miracle happening with price this year because it might not leave the bear mode. Lets start looking at 2019 which looks like opposite of this year.

As far as I know, it took 3-4 months before the market turns green after the bitcoin halving in 2016. So if history repeats itself then perhaps 2020 will be the year wherein we might see another 2017 in the making.

But then again, this is crypto ecosystem, past performance doesn't mean future success so its hard to say what will be the price in the next 2 years or so.

There are other major events that have taken place over the years. The technology is aiming for mass adoption, but I fear this can be gotten through some level of regulations.
By 2021, the supply would be fixed as all coins would have been mined. And this will lead to consolidation of bitcoin.

2918 turned out to be a bad year for crypto.  I know a lot of people that got involved in January but they lost a lot of money and vowed that cryptocurrency was a scam.  I think this last quarter of 2018 will be good but I agree that it won't really take off until 2019.

In short, with your analysis its likely that the market will be mooning on 2021. Nice analysis though. Usually after bitcoin halving the market turns out to have a massive increase and that's possible any upcoming year.

But the pattern you gave is interesting and although its just a coincidence, there's a possibility that its going to happen by that year. After the next halving on 2020, we might see the same effect that it gave last 2016 which made the market condition set before it goes on high.

This is a pretty smart answer. The patterns definitely give us a good clue about around what date things might happen again based on past performance.

A lot of people will say it's just speculation. Is it really? - It's absolutely possible to see a huge increase in the price when the new amount of Bitcoins being creates halves since there will be a lot less new offer. It will interesting to see in around 5-10 years from now on.

I think that these years there will be a big increase in the price of Bitcoin and Bitcoin has a chance to rise in price to $ 100,000 during this time. Though it is more difficult to predict what will happen in the future.

We know that after block halving the price is increased because the supply will be divided by half so the reward from 12.5 BTC will be 6.25 BTC so that the supply is divided by half that may help to push the price higher.

Since bitcoin price is depending on the supply and demand the price of bitcoin after block halving should be increased by half.

This is just my own prediction and this is what I see from the graph that every 4 years that the price of bitcoin increased same happened years ago (2013 and 2017) so this coming 2020 or 2021 we should not miss this year so that before the years come we have prepared and saved more bitcoin and make profit after blockhalving.

No one can preditc what happen with bitcoin in 2020-2021 but from my opinion bitcoin grow so fast and already many country accept it so the price will be so expensive, i trust bitcoin technology can change the world make financial system back to people and will help poor people. I think the value of bitcoin in the years to come will be hard to forecast. This is simply because of the birth of new cryptos which are now used as an alternative to bitcoin.

I think also in 2020-2021 Bitcoin will do Halving again, and this is very good for the price of bitcoin will increase sharply due to the occurrence of Halving BTC. I personally heard from one of my senior teachers about btc Halving. He said if Halving from BTC came, the price of Btc would rise very high. He has watched bitcoin Halving himself since 2012.

   Everyone has it own speculation or prediction on what to become of Bitcoin in the 2021 and beyond. once you should note that Market is volatile, it is unpredictable.any thing can happen at the trading market, but based on the market preview Bitcoin show's stable in the Crypto Currency Market, although the price value may goes up and goes down, yet it remain on the Top among all Crypto or ALT Coin as posted in the market.

The 2020 bitcoin halving doesn't mean anything to me.It won't influence the bitcoin price at all.The previous btc halving didin't influence the last year's price boom.Perhaps the reduced mining rewards will force the miners to try to push the prices up,by some sort of market manipulation.I don't know.This is just a hypothesis.

If that crypto currency prices will be going to moon then it will happens much faster than the history like 2020 or in late 2019 since the growth is getting much faster and faster so the path of the prices will also move much faster but still we have time to buy the crypto currencies before it reaching much expensive prices.

Bitcoin just moves to the unexpected grow that it can. It's stretchable and will keep on moving so to expect something good from few more years is enough to say that from the past there's a nice growth and chart that we've seen.

Considering that the adoption isn't too broad and for those years to come with enough events and adoptions, I guess the analysis is pretty good enough. I'm not saying its accurate but his basis are well made and considered, can't wait for those years.

The devil is in paying particular attention to details. Let's say for a start that prices had been rising since the beginning of 2016 (actually, since September, 2015), and just a few weeks before the halving many people predictably decided to cash out with prices going down the hill. Well, it may not be them in fact as it may just have been some whale forerunning everyone else in the sell-off, but there we were.

Then the Bitfinex hack happened on August 2nd with over 120k bitcoins stolen, which sent the prices further down. So no surprise that the recovery took a few months. The same sequence of events is unlikely to repeat itself, and the next time things may evolve in a quite different direction.

We don't know what is really possible to happen to bitcoin in the year of 2020 or 2021 price are possible value is very high or very low or else bitcoin is already die on that year. But we can still alive bitcoin after few many years if everyone will buy more bitcoin.

How do you predict will next economic crisis influence on Bitcoins price and when do you expect it?

In the year 2020 when there will be a halving, I really think after the Said event the price will definitely pump and I think we can reach another All time high by then it will not be a bull run but an increase that many would think it will be like that, And in my opinion we can reach the $10,000 Mark value again and a prosperous years for the value of bitcoin for us, Well because of this bearish market we can still see dipping of the price and until we could reach the year of 2020.

in my opinion the price of bitcoin will not run as easily as you say, indirectly you say the price of bitcoin in 2021 will go to the moon. oh I see 2021 is the year of bitcoin  ::)

My God keep us till then but one thing I believe is that the time shall tell.  Bitcoin is going to do well in future but how is going to be is very difficult to predict.  I don't think the bad days are over but we are going to have more of positive trend than the negative one.

As you said you sold and buy them back. This list can be good reference for doing the same when next halving occur. Also maybe following you example and try to accumulate as least some amount that can be sold high and then bought cheap.

Off course every year can bring something unexpected but mostly when this happen will it be good or bad panic selling will comes.

I believe halving would automatically help the price because the miners decides to not sell their coins for loss and they increase their prices which means the seller side of the supply/demand gets shorted which causes the price to go a lot higher, simple math.

If there is 100 million dollars waiting to buy bitcoin and there is 100 million dollars waiting to sell bitcoins than the price stays about the same however when the miners take their sell orders away than there is 100 million dollars waiting to buy bitcoin and there is only 50 million dollars to sell bitcoin which means price will go up of course.

Yes, but that does not mean it will stop in 2021, because I only summarize for the next 3 years from now, but if it really happens, I will add the following year until 2025, I also hope everyone not to panic just making this a belief in something that they hold will be of value in the future

Bitcoin is a great crypto assest so many peoples are holding the Bitcoin. But future possibilities of Bitcoin are safe so it will going to moon gradually. I think 2019 is a right time to sell Bitcoin so we are all safely play the game it will be a best choice in this market. The recent dump is really big impact of future prediction so we must carefully monitor the market.

All of those expectations will be a reality in sooner time, just stay calm and don't ever lose your grip with crypto. If we experienced struggles right now, I guess that's a part of our growing community of bitcoin. Don't be alarmed if the situation might got worst, but it was just part of the real game of being a holder.

wow you ran to forecast prices for 2020 when we are still in 2018 that shows that we are desperate to pass years to see high price increases. But I am of the view that things will be very different next year, so I believe that next year the price will start to increase a lot and we do not have to run to 2020.

Maybe what you said will be the right, maybe the opposite. But, in my opinion, a great change in price may not be possible, after that the price will move more slowly. Now we are approaching 2019, but I can not see any changes.

Well all if as in crypto world want that bitcoin will be I highest price because we all know that we can get a good profit if bitcoin have a highest price. So my prediction is 2019 is a good year for us and maybe the year comes much more exciting...

I'm looking forward to seeing this in the future and definitely this year is the  moment to make an investment and for us to avoid big losses, better to invest that we can only afford to lose. If the analysis is right, then probably we can gain enough ROI as long as we keep our faith on it.

I hope that all of this predictions will come true cuz if they dontalotof people will lose a lot of moneyif bitcoin will not grow again in 2019 back to 20000$ , or at least at 10K $ . Those predictions are only predictions ,no one can know whats gonna happen in the future .

Exactly, It is impossible to predict the prices in the current situation of the market and everything seems to be perfect and suddenly the prices are kept changing and this makes us change our mind in a different way whether the price of Bitcoin will increase or not.

Correct there is no way to predict when and if will happen in some point. One thing is clear every time we see price going down after some time we see price recovering and after that we see ATH that is bigger then the last one. Some path are the same and every single time this line was the same, we see price high then drop then recovery then ATH.

It's actually difficult to say history will repeat itself as with bitcoins nothing is fixed, currently we're in bear mode, and public sentiments vary day by day. Then again we have to see the impact of bitcoins etf being approved or disapproved. Also it is pertinent to note that there is no certainty bitcoins will be legal in developing and developed countries, as many have banned it, and others have shackled it with restrictions. Hence to conclude it's very difficult to predict if history will repeat itself in the case of bitcoins.

2018 is not a bad year, it is just a downtrend which is normal and it is a good year as downtrend tends to give you the chance to buy lower, and I wonder why a lot of people see a problem with that. This is something they should be embracing, but because the market is speculative, prices are driven by speculations and manipulations, people tend to chicken out a lot of the time when they should be taking an advantage.

For what it is worth, I have always had it in mind that before we would probably start seeing some major recovery, it would be within 2020 - 2021 and since people will get greedy as well, I expect to see another rinse and repeat process until finally, we hit the mainstream adoption level.

It is true. Probably after a month or two the price of the bitcoin will rise and we can see the bull. But for me there is no need to wait for the 2019 to see the real pump we can see it before the year ends and that is for sure. We just need to wait for the years to come and see what would happen to the cryptomarket especially the Bitcoin.

In my opinion i think bitcoin will start growing next year. In 2020 i think bitcoin price will be over 10000$ and will not drop so much from that value, and in 2021 i think will have value over 20000$. This is just my opinion so not take this as 100% fixed prediction. All we can do is wait and see how is going and get more bitcoin and hold.

here we do not know what really happened, there are certain parties who deliberately create chaos for their own sake. they make fake news to drop the price of bitcoin and will buy bitcoin at cheap prices.

I'm curious if you really don't understand why plenty of people have a problem with that. Let's start with the fact that many of these people bought at prices well above the current price. And it is not about people who bought at the top price of roughly 20k as many more bought at prices around 10-12k in vain hope that it was the true bottom back then. 12k first looked as a real support as price bounced off that level initially, but then it crashed below 7k in a matter of a few weeks if not days.

Bitcoin is stable with 6K this time from past few months and i hope it will increase by end of this year. My prediciton for 2020-2021 will be the BTC will reach near 20K. Let's hope for the best and wish BTC market value to reach more than $20,000...

It has been stable at price $6k but I think in the coming months price will change. No one knows what price of btc were heading but I think before year ends btc would increase.

It is actually funny though that sometimes history just tend to repeat itself in a market and even though I am not the fan of judging history for what would happen in the future, this just seems like a pattern we have seen over the years. Apart from that, it has been known that what follows halving is usually a bull run and we get to see people getting greedy again as new people keeps setting in, and it is normal i must say to see that the market would eventually drop back down afterwards as a speculative move upward is never sustainable, so either we get to see a hacking story afterwards or not, it is bound to happen until we see real demand based on life usage.

This is a prediction that will take 2 years to reach out and to know the future actual value so I even do not want to talk about the near future predictions because it is useless to know about the predictions we made. Look at the previous predictions you will come to that all were uncertain to the actual values so there is no need to follow predictions. However, the future of Bitcoin is going in the better direction with the passage of time.

2 years is not a long time, 2 years is only a short time, so at least everyone can take a stand when that year comes, this is just an analysis and prediction, hopefully this helps people can be more relaxed to face the market when prices go down

I think somewehere in 2020 the price will reach 20k, it's supposed to, then I think it will keep growing steadily for 2 more years until the next bull run will happen, I think the price of BTC will then go 15-20x in a time frame of 6-8 months, then the recession is going to happen. I can't wait to see the top 5 coins in 2022-23, I think by then a lot will change and privacy coins will dominate.

No one can tell or say what is really happen. The only thing we can do is to predict it. And I think the possible to happen to bitcoin in the year 2020 -2021 maybe the price is very high, or very low or we can see the bitoin become top 2 and not king on that year because 2 to 3 years is my timeframe to bitcoin to still king.

Good point. We have two triggers to speculate that BTC gonna go up in 2021. One trigger is bitcoin halving and the other one is financial crisis. If these two happens together, I guess that BTC price will go beyond the current ATH.

I don't feel sorry for anyone who bought bitcoins at $12k+. If they are so stupid to buy an asset that has gone up 20+ times in a year's time then they are gamblers not believers. If they are unable or unwilling to look at a price chart and apply common sense they get what they get. Bitcoin in general punishes gamblers and those that lack belief and rewards those who believe in what it is and what it does.

Dont be maybe there bought what they think it was cheap. No matter on that maybe they took long term investment on this and they are waiting for next halving and hopping to gain advantage on that. Have you think about this. Every time we have halving price goes to new ATH few month after that so maybe they did the good thing after all.

For that predictions I could give profitable value  for bitcoin that $20k will be much stable compared from now. The system become more lively and traders will not panic that worst like what's happening right now. They've learned from their mistakes and they won't waste their time having bad emotions.

I like this prediction, at least many people are motivated that bitcoin isn't over. 2018 is a test for traders because the price decline is very large. hopefully in 2021 bitcoin will go to the moon.

Predictions may not be accurate but at least there is hope in this post. Lots of small investors are panicking this year simply because of so many down trend and a lot of people are already lose their money. Bitcoin will be great again in time and hopefully it will not take longer than before.

That should be time for next ATH, by any look statistic. So im hopping and have confidence that we will see that in this period for sure. Its always after halving we have massive price change so will expect to see that in that period.

I think reaching to something closer to $50k would be quite possible. I mean realistically I still think having $15k-$20k is definitely a must because of the miner price but whatever you put on top of that is the price that created by the demand. Hence, lets take a look at both of the prices I think would happen and than reason for both. First of all the 2020 is the year when the next halving will happen.

Right now, price is above the miner profit price which is about $6k or so for american miners and depends on others but to make it at least worthwhile (you could put your money into a bank and savings account and make "more money" than a miner who sells at loss since basically 1 dollar profit is better than loss) and in 2020 that would be around $11k or $12k depending on electricity as well, which all comes down to the price being around $15k to make it worthwhile.

Nevertheless, we were $20k once whereas the miner costs were even lower (less difficulty) and if that type of demand happens again than $40k would probably the reasonable price for it.

This could happen easily as still 2 years a long time if you considering this year has being very slow and may not be case for next 2 years. If we see some good demand in coming months we could easily see the price of btc to rise and get stable above 25 - 30k. So buying at lower value now will help everybody to make good gains.

As the time goes by bitcoin having ups and downs when it downs the reason is always breached of security that will elude security, 2018 is quite not good but the reason behind is hacking, in 2020 may be good for cryptocurrency because it is  the results of experiences for the past years.

Bitcoin is a timed bomb. In the last few months, positive news has come to us from all sides. But you never know predict when it will occur again increase prices up to the moon. Although I must point out that this development of bitcoin as you say, I also noticed. Every 4 years it is repeated. I wish it was more frequent. Its volatile currency so it take times maybe years to recover its price. Also no one can give right prediction of bitcoins no one know what will happen Like stock market its bitcoin's nature it have to decrease in order to increase.

There is no point in wishing bitcoin went up in value more often, it is obvious we would like that but I will take whatever bitcoin decides to gives me, since I know that eventually we are going to reach a point in which bitcoin is going to be used all over the world and I want to be one of persons that can say that was part of bitcoin when it was still in development.

In fact we cannot predict the bitcoin price for a single day, so its too much difficult to give any prediction about bitcoin price for next 2 year, I think that we can only hope that even after 2 years bitcoin price will trading too much good.

That's a pretty neat analysis that you have done here and from your point of view everything seems simple but there are a lot of factors involved here in the case of bitcoin price as there used to be a norm that the bitcoin price increases every year and always is greater from the previous year but by watching the price falling to these range is surely indicating that there are also trends that we should look before speculating the bitcoin price in the long run, but I agree with you that after block reward halving the price will surely rise.

at 2021 I want to see bitcoins at 50000 at the least. 2019 to 2020 will be the breakthrough for bitcoins and I think as the supply keeps reducing and the demand of it becoming more, it will make the price go higher.

It seems that the graph you provided can provide clues to the movement of bitcoin prices this year seems likely to fall and maybe 2019 will indeed start to wake up and will start doing price recovery.

To some extent you have predicted well and to me your analysis is right.  This year started with news of banning and hacking and we can see the infect of that on bitcoin and altcoins market.  I believe that bitcoin is actually going to wake up from it downward movements or downturn in 2019. It means what happened in 2018 may not repeat itself again.

why not say $ 100k maybe it will be even cooler

Bitcoin will not be done for next years for sure so if those who are panicking due to this that it will extinct is wrong and should continue buying at this lower rate. This is the moment where the btc price is down and you can make money once it rise in coming months. So be smart and buy at dip rather than buying at high prices.

A 4-year bitcoin halving events will trigger the bitcoin price to go higher or double a year after its event. So let's say in between 2019 - 2020 the bitcoin rough price estimate at around 9k to 10k then in year 2021 then price prediction will go as high as 20k to 30k USD unless if there are no other circumstances occur. Whether the demand is low the bitcoin price still remain high on that year and it could not go lower than 15k USD.

I think that in 2020 the crypto market can be stabilized and the crypto currency will be more popular, and I think the price of bitcoin can exceed 10k.

I have observed too that predictions for this year end are already abandoned and that most of the predictions (again) are now focused for the next year and the coming years like this one of yours. For me the best way to do is to move on now and forget the bull run that we must used to this current figure as the new baseline of the Bitcoin market.

No, please don’t consider it in this way. No graph can help you to define the movement of bitcoin in coming days or months. Things are quite fluffy in here. You can’t predict the next move by bitcoin through overseeing and making patterns in past. Bitcoin is always happy to give surprises and you might have some bigger in coming days while you were thinking it bad.

I guess predicting the price of bitcoin or cryptocurrency is really difficult. well, even many say that hard fork for bch will have a pretty good effect on the price of bitcoin, however, at the moment we see the price of bitcoin really falling. whatever happens in 2020, I hope the BTC price at that time has recovered, or even higher.

That $2000 is possible yet we can say if it can happen and what you are going to do is a smart move or let say $2700-$3000 which is my target price double bottom or somehow a fake bear in lower timeframe and getting back up on that range. There's no way we are going back down again, there was an accumulation happening, even at the current price now, is still a good price to accumulate, so possible if there is a huge dump, that would be higher than the price mentioned. I think that you should not try to find a clear correlation between some events such as major hacks that took place a few years ago and those that happen this year. The last years were very difficult but we have seen a good recovery during the last months, some are predicting we are going to see an even greater recovery during the next year but I am not so sure that will happen, it seems like altcoins have been going down for too long so it makes more sense to me that after the price of bitcoin recovered during this year that we will see the same for altcoins during the next year but this will require that investors once again trust in altcoins something that does not seem that likely now.

good analysis I also agree with you that bitcoin has a certain pattern. which is sometimes the same as the previous pattern. if we compare the current condition of bitcoin to bitcoin in 2015 before bitcoin halved in 2016 bitcoin also declined. after that bitcoin split in half and finally went to the moon in 2017. I predict next year bitcoin also has a pattern like that. bitcoin will halve by 2020 and will be able to reach the moon by 2021. I am optimistic that by halving the amount per block will decrease but demand is always increasing this will make bitcoin prices go up.

It's very bullish the new stable price is in the 7k-10k range. Once we have decreased selling pressure from the miners at the halving and continue sat stacking we should see a nice rise. I would expect us to hit 25-30k in late 2020 with 50k possible. To mars. time to retire.

I'm still holding on to history and doing more research on this analysis, I can't guarantee that this analysis will happen for the third time, but let's look at it later, don't expect more, I just want to sit watching it happen a third time and I retire

There is no must be for BTC, it can do anything.   There isn't anything else as cutting edge and this right here remains an unknown imo.   The point I wanted to underline really is on halvening, the effect itself is diminishing which is why I especially say it doesn't have to do anything expected.   Any time the market over estimates an event it would then be less bullish then price is likely leading to, its more likely to trip up so that would relate to the future as per topic title; it hasn't happened yet.

In a market situation like this I think many people avoid it and divide investments other than Bitcoin, many Altcoin or Shitcoin prices have fallen dramatically, if you see that until now the price of bitcoin is not growing too well, whereas we are already at the end of 2019 where people predict there will be an increase in the price of bitcoin but it doesn't happen

Fluctuations are prevalent on bitcoin but even that it is still the best asset that people hold rather than shitcoins that at a 95% decrease since the bull run of 2017. Diversifying your assets is good but you should select the best or top crypto out there rather than just a pump and dump shitcoins.

I believe that there are quite a few optimists among us who expect very good changes in the cryptocurrency market in the near future. In addition, the past halving should still affect the performance of Bitcoin in the near future, as it was during the previous halving. Since im not very bullish on bitcoin i predict bitcoin price by 3rd quarter of 2021 is around 50k. But it will grow up as the year will pass because the demand will be so high.

I think it is very over price what you predicted. In my personal opinion, it is not possible to for bitcoin to reach $50k within next year. For reaching $50k, bitcoin needs 4-6 years more.

Indeed. A $50K bitcoin's price is absolutely overprice that there are no any reasons or any signs that bitcoin would reach it's price that much. Maybe after 5 years or more for bitcoin will reach in that kind of price. I think next year of 2021 that the price of bitcoin will be the year to reach it's new ATH or will get up to $20K because bitcoin is now between the $11K and $12K price, so it's close enough to reach it.

remember the halving that occurs from year to year that after halving a year later the increase in bitcoin is very high. To my opinion $50k or $100k are exaggerated values and I don't think likely to reach. In one year period of time Bitcoin price might come somewhere between $15k and $20k but that depends on so many factors not connected to crypto world only. In between many corrections will happen and short time pumps so the final value is hard to determine.

Sound analysis will tell us that it's unlikely to reach that level I'm always moderate when it comes to prediction I don't want to be disappointed with my expectation so I'm hitting to a more realistic prediction I voted $20 k level but I know that it will be higher but I'd like to see the market as it comes because a lot of unexpected things could happen.

I'd estimate 20k rather then 50k for 2021, I think thats possible where 50k is part of a multi stage movement that will take more then 12 months if its to last and be sustainable.   I'd rather not place much significance on the previous ATH, if theres no other reason we should consider the dollar value and status of 2021 to be consistently different to the dollar traded vs BTC of late 2017.     We've had continued QE programs even before 2020 special measures occured, so now I dont consider BTC to USD to be the same ratio and the value of dollar lower though some will argue its unchanged in comparison to other FIAT and so no different.

I think it will be $20,000 by the year 2021, I'm bullish but I think bitcoin has already pumped enough and a swing of price will be witness again IMO.
So instead of voting $100,000 or more, I'll be more conservative with $20,000 only.

Honestly, I'm not quite sure for now if I will believe in this theory or not, or is it just a coincidence or not. But if it does happen for the 3rd time then I think we now know the pattern, we'll now know what do we need to do.

Well, I think everyone is just being realistic because I am pretty sure that there will be a correction and we know what will happens if that occurs. Just like everyone I like being optimistic but sometimes we need to get real here. I mean right now even if there's Bitcoin halving happened we can only barely hit the $20k mark thus growing into $100k within just 13 months seems impossible but who knows Bitcoin is still unpredictable after all.

Assuming that 2021 is the boom and peak year for this market cycle, I do think it is likely to break $100k. Though I do think there's a chance that this market cycle will continue on into 2022, but regardless of whether it is 2021 or 2022, I think we'll see prices above $100k for at least a few days at the end of this cycle before the next crash.

yes when there is a correction it will not last long at the beginning of next year, but again that I analyze the price will go quickly to the mid-to-year 2021 to the end of the year, letting in early 2021 for other Altcoins grow when there is a correction to bitcoin price and again it won't last long to see a correction in bitcoin price
