I know this might not be most pleasant to discuss about especially considering the current market situation but still i would like to know which altcoin has changed your life positively this year and which altcoin has yield you profit? For me it was obviously Ethereum and then it went on downward spiral.

None,to be honest.Because almost all the altcoins were bleeding so it is hard to make any profits at all but I still consider coins like ethereum,Litecoin and other top anked coins from the coinmarket cap is capable of providing good profits to use in the future when there is price bump occurs in the near future.I didn't made any profits by investing on altcoins in 2018.

I know this probably won't be most charming to talk about particularly considering the present market circumstance yet at the same time I might want to know which altcoin has changed your life emphatically this year and which altcoin has return you benefit? For me it was clearly Ethereum and after that it went on descending winding.

There are many Altcoin which make remarkable progress in this year in the field of economy. Altcoins are as much as profitable like bitcoin and in some circumstances they are more benefit then that of bitcoin. Ethereum is most used altcoins in this year. And its user number increase exponential in comparison to the previous year record. Many multinational companies start investing in Ethereum because of its high market stability and this thing ultimately boost up its popularity and user number. Its money transaction facility is one of the key reasons behind its profit.

I chose ethereum, but ethereum only made me positive at the time of the year when the price soared and I got many benefits. But towards the middle of the year until now there are no more things that can make me repeat the benefits at the beginning of the year.

none. if bad luck was a person it would be me.. every coin in which i invest start dumping and right after a week or two selling it, it gets pumped.. i bought 1million linda coin for  2 satoshi and kept it for couple of week there was no sign of growth so i dummped all at the price of 3 satoshi and after 3 week its price was 60 satoshi.. it is not the only linda coin this happen to me every time.. this is the worst year to be in crypto my portfolio is down by 90% almost

In my main portfolio, all my Altcoins give me a profit, because I bought them 2 years ago, when their price was very small. In December 2017, I had euphoria and was crazy, but now everything is different, I became calmer and more restrained and when the next bull market comes I will know what to do) I am sure that a lot of alcoins in our portfolios will die in the near future and remain very few. Now it is difficult to understand this, but it is better not to keep all your funds in one token / coin.

I know that ETH is the best altcoin but I think altcoin of the year will be XRP :). I still remember that so many guys became millionaire last year because of holding XRP only and I think this year it'll be the same. ;D. Few weeks ago, XRP reached to top 2 con Coinmarketcap more than 2 times and I think it's a good signal for this cryptocurrency :).

The altcoin of the year for me was XRP Ripple. Even though the market was in a bloody situation for most months in this year, ripple has find its own way to be more productive and competitive especially against ethereum and bitcoin. Ripple almost dethroned ethereum by claiming the number two spot for some days ago. This just prove that ethereum isnt safe at all in its spot. Ripple has the potential now to overtake ethereum and might as well the bitcoin.

The robot coin made me a good profit, this week she had a good recovery, and at that moment I made some money. Best selling this year. Now I will wait until the ethereum goes up.

MTC (Medical Token) it gave me a really nice boost and covered a lot of my losses on the other Tokens I am holding, other than this Token I am pretty much in a huge loss on all of my other holdings. I can easily say that MTC is the Altcoin of the year for me because it saved me from a lot of trouble and prevented me from liquidating my other in loss coins.

For me, the altcoin of the year has become a few: cappasity - I fell in love with what the team does, this is a really interesting product + the token has fallen dramatically in price and I had the opportunity to buy it at a low price. Tezos - because finally the ICO participants received tokens and the team has already launched the main network.

I have so many altcoins that have given me joy this year. I will not fail to mention them. The altcoins are the likes of Twist, which is listed of on cryptopia, ENU,  on kkex, which now has its own mainnet. I will not forget to mention MTC (Docademic). At the initial stage, it seemed it was not going to bring a good ROI, but to my amazement, it got passed the ICO price  and increased tremendously.

NEO is the best coin of this year. NEO has many outstanding features compared to the rest of the coin. It is supported by the Chinese government. The value of NEO has increased sharply this year. A lot of investors have bought and stored NEO copper. I believe that NEO is the coin of the future.

Well that might be true but NEO has dipped very much. The price now doesn't truely reflect how it has increased developmentally.

Altcoin of the year is surely TETHER! Who invested in Tether is happy and can buy 10 to 50x more altcoins today lol!

This year's much improved on Altcoin. so this year be a year of progress for the Altcoin which produces a much greater advantage and makes it so to be able to count on in the future as the primary coin of value.,

The altcoin of the year to me is NPXS. The Pundix coin made lots of people rich in this long run bear market. Pundix is a great project, this coin still giving good profits to its holders and traders! Every month holders are getting some bonus from the pundix team. This coin is ranked 46 on the coinmarketcap, this is not so easy. So, to me, the altcoin of the year award goes to the NPXS Coin!  ;D

i don't agree with your statement about XRP is the year currency, i don't think so, we can see fact in market how Ethereum replace this place again

no, this is just your personal statement, you can say because this coin just give you profit but you're not seeing how this currency build and make blockchain ecosystem strongly

The year hasn't ended yet so I can't say on what altcoin that totally changed my life positively.

But if the market would be lively again I'll have the same answer as you with ethereum. I've took profit with my trades through ETH and been holding it for awhile. Early months, the price of it is above $400 so I'm still holding it and hoping that by the end of the year I'll see gain.

Ethereum is the best altcoin of the year. The ethereum market is expanding. The price of ether has risen sharply. Ether has more complete characteristics than bitcoin so it is a lot of choice investors. Everyone is investing in ethereum.

I know that Xrp didn't stay very long on the number 2 spot and beat again by Eth BUT I think we're unfair if we don't recognize or underrated its performance, what do you think? After all, it did an impressive job and made a very rare event which is enough to be the alt of the year (unless there's another who made greater on what it did) :).

But well, we still have remaining two months before this year ends so too early to have the final word. Many things will still happen, I just hope it would be all positive.

That is a good question, despite this bear market we have had very good altcoins that have destabilized quite the top 10 coinmarketcap, we could say that ETH is still an excellent altcoin, but ripple is also stepping on his heels, there are also alts not so famous that are excellent too, such as Priv, venQ and EOS, very close fight.

According to Profit, Then I must say MTC and Bob are the altcoins of the year. Because these two coins gave me a huge profit and I am still holding these two coins to make more profit in the future. But Overall I would say, Ethereum Classic and EOS are the altcoins of the year. Sorry, I can't pick one name because these two coins are very good to me.

There are so many Altcoin available in the market like Ethereum, NEO, XRP, LTC, TRX. but as per my opinion XRP is the best altcoin of the year. Because XRP has the great future.

There have been quite a few very resilient coins.

for me, I have still made profit off of Monero.
I bought in on monero last year october when the price was around 80$.
Even in the worst crashes this year, monero has never dropped that low.

On top of that, I have been adding to my portfolio so I am expecting great returns.
During last decembers bull run, monero managed to jump well past $200, it is reasonable to expect it to do that again.
It has still made great development progress and has outperformed all other privacy coins.
Obviously, it is the best choice in the privacy coin department.
In just a year, it has totally crushed Dash, which used to be the king.

I don't think there is an altcoint that is the best for this year because all coints have deteriorated, hopefully in the near future this kind of condition will recover and all can work normally

2018? very few of them. EOS showed itself this year very worthy. In the spring Verge coin grew up well in anticipation of a “super” partner, who eventually turned out to be a pornhub.  ;D  From an investment point of view, ethereum is definitely a very attractive coin at the moment - the price is ridiculous now.

Anticipating the Atcoin of the year may change over time. But in my opinion, it could still be ETH, NEO, LTC, XRP, Wave, EOS ... The technology improvements of Altcoin, community and values ... will determine which Altcoin will have greatest potential of the year.

here, without further ADO, the best is Ethereum,because it showed a successful growth at the beginning of the year, of course the market correction has done its job,but I hope that the price will go up

on this year i think ethereum will be the best ALTCOIN, because many project of ethereum is very good and important for digital future. And i invest 300$ off my money every month. I think Ethereum is very strong to Grow in 2020.

there are many coins that change a person's life by giving to a high profit for him. ethereum has provided many benefits for everyone and I think so for the following year. the year is still not over, that means the opportunity is still there to get profit when the market rises again.

Yes, MTC was one project that goes to the moon. I was one of the luckiest participant and I say the reward is worth the wait.  ;D. I guess the best altcoin is EOS and XRP, reached all-time-high at the beginning of the year and now they are poised to challenge ETH as the dominant altcoin now. So my vote goes to the two. Specially XRapid which seems to get a lot of hype and success in the last couple of days.

but i got some profit for selfdrop and some ico, yes even though it didn't last long, because like fomo, at least it comforted me a bit, because the losses I got from holding a few coins.
but coins like eth ltc xlm can be considered and should be bought at the current condition when the price drops.

To be honest, this year seems to be a little low than last year, so I actually can't give a name of altcoin that are good for this year.
But for other people would be XRP, the one that rather has a good increase in its price.

Year 2018 is not the year for cryptocurrency. Almost every coin dropped from its high value from 2017. However, there is one coin that is not affected much by this down market, it is the Dogecoin. By the time bitcoin and ethereum suffered a sharp fall a month ago, Dogecoin stayed stable. So, my bet is Dogecoin.

As for me, the best altcoin can be called XRP. He only showed the best growth in September. I think it can be safely called the best altcoin of 2018.

Till September of this year XRP showed a unbelievable improvement as everyone are aware that it overtook eth as well. This is a great sign of development. But still the last quarter of the year is going anything can happen. Let's wait and watch.

For now, only XRP is able to open up opportunities with quite good growth by making a surprise several times. Recognized or not, XRP shows excellent performance. Had to shift Ethereum in position 2, although Ethereum quickly took over his position again.

For me was RVN that I mined for a month and sold at top for some reason - I was lucky!

Err, personally, I don't think there is any coin that I would choose to wear that crown, at least for now. So many of the coins have done greatly despite the unfavorable market condition and I could only wonder how much they would do in a more better market situation. I have been impressed with a few number of these altcoins this year.
