Bitfinex announced a major infrastructure maintenance for 2 hours, and being one of the biggest exchange wallets, I believe that it does have the power to influence the value of BTC. I've had been short on BTC until this news came and shorts started lowering down their impact and bulls came into force. Since the value soared nearly $200, should it be considered that whenever a big exchange such as Bitfinex goes on maintenance, we're about to see a bustle in BTC's value? These days Bitmex maintenance would be the one that had the effect. Bitfinex's hold on the price is lesser because of there.

Bitcoin has been trading in the plus / minus $ 500 range for several months. This is a drop in the sea and anything can affect this twitching. |
