Title: ETH CRISIS KNOCKING.
Post by: telexnetwork on October 07, 2018, 06:01:53 AM
The Ethereum network has been falling, as many heated discussions are being carried on in the name of development. The separation of Ethereum Classic from Ethereum was one of the major incidents which broke the backbone of the network. since it drops from its peak at high as $1347 in January 2018 to $187 in September 2018, Ethereum price could reach $53 soon. while interviewing Vitalik Buterin  Vitalik Buterin in his response said "The collapse of ETH is inevitable"

Vitalik even said that the days of Cryptocurrency markets (in short Ethereum) are now history.

Vitalik even said that the days of Cryptocurrency markets (in short Ethereum) are now history.

If he thinks that Cryptocurrency == Ethereum, than yes, the days of the crypto market may be over. However, what is meant by this I believe is the following. If the Ethereum network fulfills its purpose, it can function without ETH as currency, so ETH may go to zero:

https://techcrunch.com/2018/09/02/the-collapse-of-eth-is-inevitable/

The article linked in the OP, however, presents some interesting points. I don't agree with EOS being "one of the best competitors" to ETH. There are much better alternatives in case there comes an ETH crisis. I also don't necessarily interpret the cited tweet as Vitalik being ready to leave the ship. He merely stated that ETH could survive without him. However, Ethereum is a completely different animal than Bitcoin which was able to survive and indeed thrive without Satoshi. Vitalik is a central figure in charge of ETH from the very beginning. His leaving could bring a potential disaster. This could be something very different from Satoshi's departure from Bitcoin. Satoshi left behind a fully functional system in the hands of capable individuals. I'm afraid that's not the case with Ethereum.

He is just talking about Ethereum and Bitcoin is still there which will not fall that easily. That is one problem when there is a creator which is still updating everything. He can cause that kind of panic.

Regarding the market that he is talking about. What does he really know about it?
Being the creator of Ethereum does he still have time to read and look around about what is really happening with the market?
I dont think so. He might be the same as anyone here which only looks at the price.

Do we need ETHEREUMCASH, who can develop it?

Vitalik has never been on board with the future of Ethereum. he has only been in it for the profit just like everyone else. the made his millions, he also made a good resume which he has been using to get into better jobs with the banks and the government and from day one he has always been telling people that there is no future for ethereum and they should not invest in it. in fact in his tweets he has always told people to choose traditional assets such as stocks and gold,... instead of etehreum since he never saw a future for it.

I believe that ETH will not fall to 50 USD. If Buterin said so, than the price may go down, but ETH will exist and will never cost 50 bucks again. Over 70 percent of all ICOs are based on ETH and if ETH price goes even deeper, all these coins will follow.

ICOs are made to make profit fast and big. they are not meant to stay around for long. in other words they have already used ethereum platform for their goals and they don't need it anymore. if they fall down to zero today nothing in the world would change.
as for the platform itself the new ICOs can simply go to another one and use the better platforms to create their ICO crap!

I don't get how miners will mine for tokens. They would have thosands of different tokens, which cannot be traded directly to fiat

Miners would need to be registered in dozens, maybe even hundreds of exchanges, to be able to sell their tokens.

Really, this make no sense to me. I believe the current gas model will continue as it is. Actually the network is moving to different security protocols such as POS , which would be one more use case for eth.

I am not sure if this year's ETH price will penetrate at 500 dollars, but if early 2019 ETF receives ETH, there will be a possibility that the ETH price will re-penetrate above $ 1000, so the last hope in my opinion is only with SEC

That will be sad news for Ethereum holders, but in fact the current ethereum price is still at $ 220. I think it's not necessarily to fall to the price of $ 50. I still can't trust the news for now. 8)

i actually think moving to PoS can be the worst thing that ETH can do at this point because it has now shaped up a community around this coin and a great deal of this community consists of miners who have invested a lot of money into equipment (GPUs, GPU rigs and recently ASICs) who want their investment to continue working longer than this!
if they brick their equipment, i don't think this great community is going to react kindly towards ethereum specially now that ICOs are starting to die.

You are completely right. I doesn't make sense what they perpetuate these days. I can't even begin to contemplate this idea about eventually ETH going to zero and the gas being paid in tokens. What that would do to the network is beyond comprehension. In any case, I thought that PoS would have been operational by now. With so many different and often contradictory information coming out in the news, it's hard to make sense. IMO, rather than talking about these issues to the media, Vitalik should step up and make some concrete steps to lead ETH into some direction, whatever that is.

The Ethereum network has been falling
Just like the rest of the cryptocurrency market, the entire cryptosphere has been in a downtrend, it's not just ETH which only took a big hit a few weeks after the massive ETH sell-off from ICOs, but it quickly recovered.

Ethereum price could reach $53 soon.
That's just FUD. Sounds to me like that site OP linked has an agenda, I mean, there are no signs that could tell us that the price could reach those low levels. I don't think Vitalik abandoning ship could signal an ETH crisis, if anything the crisis could come if the sell-off continues because of the beark market that we're going through

I am very worried about this news, I think eth still has hope next year. but with this article I doubt whether eth will rise and rise again.
the vitalic should not be weak and still convince investors to hold eth from not falling.

Fall of Ethereum will be compensated by rise of Ethereum Classic. If you are HODLing token before chain split, you wont need to worry.

The fud didn't work? I was hoping the price to dip down to around $150 but it didn't go well. Don't you think this is already the very low it can get?
If you have to think about it, Vitalik can fix everything in just a day if he wants too but I think he still is waiting for the right time. If an investor is actually eyeing to into ETH, now is the right time. He can try to wait to see if he can bargain a little more if the price dip to $200.

I think this is a kind FUDding and a kind of nonsense how could Ethereum classic affect the Ethereum Network as a whole when its already out of the Network just remember Ethereum was reach $1300+ dollars in value after Ethereum classic was already out it doesn't make sense. While Buterin is not the Ethereum and Ethereum is not Buterin that's simple. if he quit let him be its normal after this man earned Millions out of scratch. And I don't Believe this man says everytime its full of Arrogance and empty sorry to say this.

I believe the same as well I am very disappointed with the market situation, I was trusting like there will be a change in the last quarter but still the value is dropping everyday. No more predictions these days as it is not going well but Still I have lot of hope like it will sky rocket again.

It seems to me that this is another throw-in and a vitaly did not say anything like that. I am sure that ethereal will develop in the future and will also give an opportunity to earn money to its investors.

Yes.

There is also one more thing about pos.

Once I heard Andreas Antonopoulos saying that the world might not support 2 proof of work cryptocurrencies, because of energy consumption. And if there's is space for just one, that is bitcoin.

Maybe vitalik agrees with that somehow. Ethereum Casper (pos) will be a solution for that, and to Eth value problem.
But when it's released, it must be 100%

A buggy plataform such as eos is worse than a late one.

Big possibility that it may happen this coming year of 2019, all of us are hoping for the better prices of all altcoins especially in bitcoin. Patience is all we need do not rush altcoins will be recover soon.

I agree with your words and I am afraid to think about what will happen when they switch to PoS, what will happen to all the miners. Probably now is the time when you need to pay attention to the Ethereum Classic, I'm sure that most of the miners will switch to it and there will be a significant increase in prices.

I think what he is saying is that ETH can continue without him.  This should be true of almost anything, certainly of major businesses and any project as long as there is a good team behind it.  While it's true that ETH is down, so are most coins.  I wouldn't read too much into it.  When more people start investing and buying ETH and BTC and everything else the value will increase.

The collapse of Ethereum-I think it sounds dramatic. Yes, it has a lot of competitors, Vitalik seems like he is going to leave - well, this is not the end of the world for cryptocurrency and specifically for Ethereum. 5 EOS creators left the project and everything is okey.

Yes the fall of ethereum is unavoidable but the article is all FUD. Ethereum is just a project on development is already an integral part of the crypto society, it would take other coins hundred of years to replace ethereu. Vitalik Buterin surely had imagined the fall of Ethereum but he would not have mentioned it to occur this year or anytime soon.

Come on, you can forget about ethereum for 50 bucks. You have no idea how many buyers there will be for $ 150 . Ethereum is the top altcoin and it's still incredibly popular and promising nowadays , there are no objective reasons to fall to 50$. As soon as market situation normalizes , eth will moon faster than the majority of others, you'll see it . Because there is no ETH crysis , there is a CRYPTO crysis .

Until they solve the issue of scalability in the network I dont think ETH will be anywhere near of being a favorite platform for new projects. I dont know why still some projects chose ERC20 as token for their project.

I'm 100% sure when Ethereum 2.0 will be launched in 2019 price will make new ATH because all current problems will be solved and mass adoption of dApps on Ethereum 2.0 will be successful. I know that the great team is working on the project development.
