I suggest you install Metamask to secure your funds when using dex exchanges like ForkDelta.
Using Metamask is the easiest way for everyone.

sorry about your problem, but until now i dont see the same probmlem with you when i use forkdelta for trading my token, try use metamask for dezentralitation exchange, its more save than import direct form Mew.

I don't think any exchange itself may steal someone's money because if they do so they will never stand in market.
I am sure you have mistakenly visited unofficial exchange, may be we can identify the issue if you elaborate more details how you felt in this scam or atleast share the url of exchange you used ?

I think you didn’t come to forkdelta (https://forkdelta.app/ (https://forkdelta.app/)), but to a fraudulent site where you shared a private key. A lot of fraud now, important sites need to be bookmarked.

It is too sad to hear about your loss of 1200 USD can you please provide a proof about your loss because I was treading from 6 months with any issues, but you have loss your money there so have to know about how you scammed there please update with proof mate. It's helpful for all our bitcointalk users.

All as usually ( https://forkdelta.io/#!/trade / PPP-ETH ) at the entrance introduced a private key and wallet address, then pressed the Deposit and brought the tokens to the exchange, filled out a sell order and clicked sell. The order in the window did not light up, after which I received a notification on the phone about the withdrawal of funds from my wallet for$1200. I found my sell order on EtherDelta. Here is such a here is history! I wish you all good luck and not to repeat my mistakes!

If your not yet familiar with the exchanges interface on how it should transact correctly then never put a big amount on your transaction. If it failed then it's just manageable on your pocket. For me your $1200 is already a big amount. Anyway you gain experience at the expense of your money.

forkdelta.io  = SCAM. Correct old adress of forkdelta was https://forkdelta.github.io/ and new https://forkdelta.app/ I am sorry that you lost money, but this is all due to inaccuracy and haste.
EDIT: If you used metamask, you would avoid losing money.

I didn't know these scams exist in Forkdelta, because I have been using "delta" exchanges since I started doing ICOs & Bounties and I haven't experienced this kind of scam hopefully. Also, I think you entered a phising site thats why I recommend bookmarking important sites that are more likely to be a target for phising.

this is typically newbies mistakes on trying to trade on Decentralize Exchanges , and this is why Decentralize exchanges wont get the same volume what centralize exchanges has , its more user friendly to use centralize exchange rather than decentralize at the moment , even on IDEX some guys are still distancing themselves away with those exchanges and just waiting for those coins to get listed on major ones, until some Major improvement on Decentralize exchanges , institution money or big money wont go over and buy some tokens from decentralize ex

Simple, you have being phished because using Forkdelta and IDEX,ED are just similar things since these are DEX and theres no difference on how you would set things up like importing
your privatekeys or any other important informations about your wallet and once phished then say goodbye to the coins inside of that wallet.This is why its always been important to bookmark legit url
than on making directly a google search.

it seems you were trying to buy PPP, too bad it does't trading anywhere else

I really not used forkdelta yet, but are you sure you not have any virus on your PC? (Spyware, keylogger) ? Or maybe you type a wrong address and you go to a pishing site. Always check before the sites , 10 times if needed or ask before if you are not sure about that site, check in google , on forums. Sorry for your loss

if you went to a phishing site and merged your key there, then forklelt has nothing to do with it. For me, a great exchange

This is a very secure exchange, as it operates on smart contracts. I think you went to a fraudulent website and manually entered your private key and therefore lost your funds.

Why defame the project if you are not sure about your cyber security? Perhaps you came across a clone site that was created to steal your data, and hackers were glad to your tokens

Thank you for giving us a heads-up but it seems that you've been phished or something. Perhaps you login to a phished site and then they stole your coins. So I guess its not ForkDelta's fault in here, just saying. That's a huge amount of money specially in this bear market so I do hope that you learn your lessons very well.

Maybe you just did something wrong. Personally, I decided not to use this stock exchange. It is difficult to use especially for beginners.Fork Delta  is decentralized exchange then I do not know if it's possible to return the money.

I think forkdelta , etherdelta and other simillar exchange are bad to use because they are more slower and will cause you alot of fees . i remember recently after i use ed , i cant deposit a certain token. After several tries , the transaction still fails but i was shocked because my remaining ether were all used up . now i decided to use forkdelta , i try to deposit and trade my token . the token were sucesfully traded but it cost almost 10usd for the trading fee .   wtf ? Ill never used a decentralized exchange again .

They kept announcing this for days about them moving to forkdelta.github.io. their old site redirects visitors to the new one. I knew this because I have been buying tokens there for a year. You definitely got into the phishing site. Fordelta don't asks for private key, they want you to create a new account where you own the private keys. You could have asks in the forum before going into that site.

Nothing can be done now, you gave away your money. Now you know its easy to lose money when you are in the malicious exchange.

have you made contact with the Forkdelta? because forkdelta is said to be safer than etherdelta, but I have never used it personally, it is more comfortable with etherdelta. If that phishing means the same is not safe especially if your account is hacked

I rembered there was once a psiphing attack on etherdelta whereby many lost thousands $$$ but I am haven't heard of such with fork delta  been using it fine fine... So probably the you made mistake while transacting. Though I advice you use metamask when next

I have also been using Fork Delta for a while now and I have had no issues at all.
My guess would be that the OP was possibly deceived into keying into a phishing website and he was not actually on fork delta. The thing with phishing websites is that if you do not pay attention to the website address in details, the chances of falling for it is always going to be high.

It is always necessary to be careful and for the fact that you may have to be making use of your private key almost every time when it comes to using a decentralized exchange unless you are making use of metamask, the chances of getting scooped of your hard earned cash will always be there if you get careless.

I actually use forkdelta often, and so far I have had no issues whatsoever with it, you probably got Phished or have been compromised prior to using forkdelta without you knowing, check the browser history to verify the site address, Only knowing the cause that led to the compromise would help others avoid the same mistake.

Forkdelta is popular exchange site in cryptocurrency world, I use Forkdelta since many times ago but I don't find any problems... But compared others exchange Forkdelta tokens price is simply low..

Ya pretty sure you were on the wrong website.  The site is similar to forkdelta but it is just a phishing website.  AT least you didn't lose that much and you can easily make it back.

It's possible when you try to forget your account but you don't save your wallet's private key, or it's really a phishing site. I think this will be an unforgettable experience for you because $ 1200 isn't a small amount. You should be more careful in trading, not just forkdelta, but we all have to be careful in all trade exchanges.

I do not agree with you.If it were popular there would be many users and it would give large volumes on forkdelta.The volumes there are scanty so I conclude that it is not very popular among users

When you are using a decentralized exchange, the need to be careful is always going to be there. I feel comfortable and easy with them like Idex, Ddex, FD or ED. This problem seems "special". You should do everything to contact them for support solutions.

I remember the times when EtherDelta was pumping tokens hard and a lot of people who is not familiar with their "decent" UI fat fingered and lost a lot of money. I remember the people buying 1 cent token for 1000 USD :D Yes, you probably did a fat fingered order and missed some decimals. Be careful mate, this is wild wild west :)

Indeed, be careful when trading on the Exchange ForkDelta, Idex because to log in using ethereum private key. Fatal if we login to the phishing web. For that, before logging in, make sure the website is correct and safe.

All exchanges you've menioned are decentralized, so they work the same. I am sorry to say that, but probably your loss is due to your mistake or inattention. It often happens that the fraudsters give their fake contract address and thus sell fake tokens.
This is a good warning for all "newbies" - always before making a transaction on a decentralized exchange check the real contract address - preferably on the riginal website of the project.

That's right, I think that's the case, I'm not experiencing difficulties which means when trading on forkdelta, it's better to use the link on coinmarketcap or even in the etherscan and bookmark the link so you don't have to search again on google

Move forward mate,charge it to your experience so that next time you are more careful when entering a Exchangers website,especially that Forkdelta scammers has created a phishing link to scam people who did not check properly the website they entered and you need to be aware of that.

Sometimes it does need for us to experienced failures or loss of money before we would able to learn and be aware on next possible incident to happen.The best way is just really need to move forward

I think you must checked the website before making a trade because there are already a lot of fising sites that steal money someone's after trading on the website you want to visit. like forkdelta or etherdela, if trading there is you must use metamask so that the funds stored inside are safe and avoid hackers.

But I was hacked MEW wallet when access ForkDelta wrong domain name by forgery this exchange.
So be careful with this exchange.

Yeah, there was so many DNS attacks back in a days when trading volume was good on EtherDelta, same happens with ForkDelta. Many people suffered losses. But the team here is much better than EtherDelta.

I guess, it's not ForkDelta's fault, but rather your inexperience. So don't accuse the exchange, just be more attentive next time. Such losses happen at the early stage, learn the lesson and move on!

Your info helps to be careful. in traiding on frokdelta. for the problem you are experiencing about losing some of it, your gas settings may be large enough that you don't feel it. for my personal experience with frokdelta, it's quite safe all this time, there's no problem.

All decentralized exchanges are safe until the user is careful. It is very easy to make an irreversible mistake, or be scammed by a transaction on fake contract address. If someone decide to use decentralised exchange, must also take responsibility of his actions.

There is a dangerous things if you use etherdelta or Forkdelta. You know what dangerous I am talking about in that exchange platform?

that is asking to import your Private key and eth wallet address to their platform before you can do trade to their exchange. Of course, obviously,

they have access on your account which is  a dangerous things especially if you have a huge amount of token which you had in your wallet that

you import it to their platform. So, go for the exchange who is not asking to your private key. Like binance, kucoin, okex and coinbene and etc.

Generally, people just need to be very careful when it comes to this space entirely. Security is one thing that everyone should always be very attentive to. Hackers are everywhere and trying to look for someone who would fall into their trap as a prey and if you are not very careful and vigilant, you would just get caught up in the web.

There is really no problem as long as you are able to do certain things to stay safe with most of it verifying the web address you are on or bookmarking the exact address and also trying as much as possible not to click on any unknown links. Now my question is how much capital do you have in Forkdelta is it 50$ or 1200$? I have been trading on this exchange for quite a long time and I have not had any problems. Maybe you really hit the fishing site and your wallet was hacked. You must always be careful.

Fforkdelta is still OK maybe it's just a slight mistake from you,  that's why you loose such fund Sorry for the loss,  perhaps you need to learn how to make use of the exchange before using it

Generally, people just need to be very careful everywhere they go, every step they do. Especially when it comes to your hard earned money. Why people are still looking for FREE money? Nothing is free and in rush people make mistakes. DEXes are still in their infancy stage and the UI/UX experience is pretty bad. You have to be very careful when it comes to using those exchanges. All you actually need to know about DEX is that ONLY you the one who control your assets! Private key is your money, don't just fill it everywhere you go and you are #SAFU!

I think that there is confusion at you because ForkDelta can not steal your money. If they break it, i believe their trading exchange will close. You should reconsider before making an accusation.

It is a decentralized exchange and they are easily prone to be hacked personally since most of the time you are making use of a smart contract based exchange and there is plainly no central server with you having to use either your private key or some other forms to make transactions with which if you by mistake end up messing up big time by being a victim of a phishing attack without you paying proper attention to the website you are visiting or just busy clicking on any link, that would make it easy to get hacked. What is important is to always try as much as possible to stay vigilant.

It is important that you discover exactly what happened and how you lost your coins, if you do not investigate this further then it is possible that this may happen to you again if the problem was not the exchange, if possible try to make a clean install of all your system to avoid the possibility that you were hacked long time ago and you were unaware of this fact.

yep it could be you log on forkdelta phishing site or it could be any exchanges phishing sites, you should bookmark the legit one so that in the next time you log in you will be safe.

I don't have a problem with Forkdelta, so far I have used to sell my tokens. one thing you have to set the gas price correctly so that the transaction runs fast.

How could it happen when you are the only one who was trading it at first? Did you receive any notifications from your email that someone was logging in to your account with a new IP? Did you turned on your F2A verification for security purposes or doesn't want to bother to turn it on? Be mindful of all the things that you do specially in the security of our own things, may it be physical or digital unless the system really fucked you up.

This was a phishing attack to him. We have many victims with this kind of hacking and being a frequent users we should bookmark those sites to make sure that it's the correct link.  Better safe than sorry.

I don't know if there is was scam happend, so sorry about your lost.do you trust your Privatekey are keep as secure? then about your like / domain / website ? Could your share a trade transactions about your assest? there's should have history of trade.

To tell you frankly, etherdelta and forkdelta in my assessment they have one owner only. as you can see its platform are almost the same, from

the format, procedure and more. Both are also asking for the private key which is not really good to give as much as you can.

generally decentralized exchange has potential risks such as phishing attacks and all these exchanges like forkdelta, etherdelta, idex etc has these risks too, all users should know and be careful about this problems and take necessary precautions.

For those who have imported the private key, their private key is stored encrypted in browser memory.  once signed out, the private key is destroyed from memory and can't be accessed. I don't know how the script works, but if you still have curious about the system, just take Ann or send a ticket, then let's see how far the market works.

While MetaMask and EAL already block this malicious website, it would be extremely helpful if everyone in this thread could also report it to Google Safe Browsing (https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en) so that they could block it once and for all.

I had a situation when I connected to EtherDelta, used it for about 1 month and then 1 ETH EtherDelta was stolen and I had $ 400 tokens when I used ForkDelta. Now I only use this wallet for one-time trading.

Sorry!! I had seen  Etherdelta DNS server was hacked and maximum members who trade in etherdelta there MEW was hacked. But i ever seen that Forkdelta DNS server was hacked. So it maybe other problem that happened in your MEW. It may be you entires into fishing site of Forkdelta.

ForkDelta is normal.I didn't find any problems at this exchange.I think you should have entered the phishing website and lose your money.

chances are you see a site that is exactly the same as forkdelta or because it fails to keep your private key.

Most of the time you lose your coins because of phishing sites, go to coinmarket cap and find forkdelta app link, then bookmark it for future use. use metamask and it will prevent most of the phishing sites and you will get a warning for those sites.

I'm sure you've gone to a phishing site. I recommend you the websites of the stock exchanges bookmark in the browser and use the extension Metamask.

Just be careful to find good exchange site because there are many fake exchange out there, so we need to wise, maybe it`s to better to check first  the link of the exchange before transferring your coins there to avoid mistake like that.

Maybe you have been hit by a web phishing on behalf of Forkdelta. Because I have used Forkdelta several times to sell various tokens that have not been registered in centralized exchange, and until now my assets are safe. So my suggestion is that you make sure the web is right and always bookmark.

hmmm, this is a pretty safe thing I feel, by bookmarking the forkdelta site so that we are safe and can avoid phishing sites, don't be easily tempted by an offer, make sure it is correct so you don't regret later. so far I have used forkdelta as well.

I using it since they start the platform and I never experience that happen to you. Maybe before you click any link make sure if it's safe and real link them bookmark it so you can make it trade safe.  And also don't stay your wallet account in every exchange.

Are you sure that you copied the correct recieving address ? And what is that exchange you are talking about ? If you see that you'v done it correctly , then you should better contact their costumer support .  try all of their contacts but if they still dont respond ,   then that is not normal anymore .    youd better file a scam accuse from this site or on the other websites , so that the scam exchange can be shutdown as early as possible .

I have used it many times by adding the address of contrat, and I have not experienced any problems, your problem does not seem to be caused by forkdelta. You must provide your own security measures

I still have no problems with ForkDelta, maybe you are not lucky enough with phishing? It is best to keep links to all important sites in your bookmarks.
