This topic is for those who lost money in coins. I found this picture on LinkedIn and thought to post it here so that investors know that there are risk involved in any kind of investments. The media will try to give you this idea that investing in crypto is the riskiest investment but the truth is in any industry you can have bear market. Patience is the key!

This is an interesting thread. Specially seeing yahoo on the list which now exists rather as a brand than organization, so not too inspiring. Other than that, you have made your point.

In every business risk is involved. There will always be a possibility to loose something. It's better to act smart and stay positive.

It's not only yahoo but also other giant like amazon on the top of the list. I am not sure who is bigger - yahoo or amazon but I have always thought that amazon is bigger than yahoo. I may need to do some google search.

Amazon as the largest company in the world it has surpassed microsoft. Basically the world needs the time to adopt such a new technology and this looks interesting amazon has started from nothing and i sure about the future ot crypto. We need a lot of time for that,

Those who have lost will earn it again because there are so many chances for this. I prefer to be optimist here and avoid bad feelings that makes the work hard.

I'm not new around the investments circle. I stayed with an uncle in my 20's and I remember he got rekt by the stocks market during the last world economic crisis. He lost a lot money at the time and it was a disaster. People tend to label cryptocurrencies as being the riskiest things to invest in, this is exactly not true. Before cryptos, I lost money to an investment that was based on binary option. You can make profits and loses in almost any investment scheme out there.

Well if this the situation of big shots then we should not mention about ours. The entire market has become garbage, I personally feel the ICO's have destroyed this market. It's a big disaster.

Great picture and a great example! Look at Amazon right now guys! Just keep hodling all your coins and you will be rewarded in a few years with huge profits! Patience is the most important aspect high now. Keep calm and hodl your savings guys!

Yeah, wherever we are investing, there will be the same chance (to get profit or lose). Patience is not the only key to survive in any investment, we should have another point that is knowledge. Good knowledge will be very helpful for us to gain a successful business.

You should not look at this picture only on Amazon, because it is a perfect example. Check Cisco Systems, the world leader company, but so far it hasn’t been able to get close to the 2000 price maximum. Or Nortel Networks declared bankruptcy in 2009 and began selling off its assets.

There is the one advice for you and it is not to regret about losses and mistakes. Carry on your work and do not think about bad things and memories.

Good timing post, people need to understand that without risk there is no gain, with every investment you make there is risk attached to it, whether it is been in Crypto or any other investment, yes Crypto might be violence but it goes both ways, when you lose you lose big but also when you gain you gain a lot, and sometimes the real-life investment have the same case as Crypto as Op show in the above picture.

This is why we have to be patient and give time for new technologies to work out. We are not always in
the position to see the big picture. Even Steve Jobs the cofounder  of Apple sold most of his Apple Stocks
when he was ousted from the company in 1985. Now , they would be worth of $66 billion.
This is why HODL is so important long term. ( of course, only the coins with potential )

Dotcom bubble, appears to be more devastating for investors than I have thought, our current state of things can be called optimistic comparing to that, and also it shows that we have a lot of room for more price falling.

Those are the example of a "come-back" company.
But there are thousands bankrupt companies with their extreme bearish :D

Good picture, no need to go back far away, just check facebook share's decline after the ipo. People don't know how to play this game, there is no money in the short term.

Unfortunately this table shows that in most cases you will just lose your money. Of course, the price can return and grow even more, but if you bought at the peak, there is a high probability that you will lose part of your amount.

Many people told this quotes I also follow this method the way of carrying your profits and losses are very important in this type of learning methods each and every person face the same problem they lost something or getting much more profit so it where is each and every situation I also keeping are trying to make more time to spend in this field to get profitable amounts with my Investments.

Now lost their coins, but there is a chance that they will earn again, the main thing is to believe and work hard on it and not to succumb to despair and panic

I agree. thank you for sharing. the real investor owns what he has. we should have the ones in our wallets. we shouldn't do anything wrong with the fall. even if 70% of my capital has melted. Amazon was $ 5.51 that year, now $ 1788.

That is just it, people do not educate their coins before they invest, they just invest because they think that they can get rich overnight in the market but the fact is that when you are investing in cryptos there is always a big possibility that you are going to end up losing more than you gain and there is always the issue of hackers. Managment of this companies chosen right strategies to recover, while managment of most of tokens seems to be extremely poor, so I do not hope for changes.

In my opinion, people who lose coins in the present time are due to many reasons. Knowledge, experience with crypto is limited, do not study the project carefully, do not study the market ... This will lead to  decided to rush ... Make them lose money. In my opinion, the patience factor, knowledge of crypto will be the key to gaining and losing in the crypto market.

I'm kind of surprise about this picture. It seems that no matter where you put money into, everything is risky and there's no "riskiest" when it comes to investment because you never know what will happen in the future. Interesting findings OP.

It is not surprising and I thought it is very logical that after a year or two, there won't be such companies as Facebook or Google in the crypto industry. Just wait for few more years and we will see huge companies in crypto world as well.

Isn't it obvious? Every business out there ,even the ones that operates around the globe does have risks ,bear market and bull market happens in all business ,infact I just like crypto better than any investment out there.

All these companies were producing something and demang fot these things helped them to recover. BTC and ETH have nothig to sell to all the people.

But this companies had real means to recover and they were established in real market sector. Cryptocurrencies cannot afford the same for now.

To everyone who has lost their token or coins at one point or the other, the tokens are gone for good, and there is need to sit up and work hard to ensure that similar mistakes do not occur the second time.

I agreed with OP’s view, there are risks in every investments. In fact, I think crypto is the best investment. If we look at bitcoin price on 1 Jan 2017, the price now is much higher.

This is what we call a good investment.
You will never lose any amount if you will keep holding your investments.
You will have the opportunity to gain it back if you will just be smarter.
Also, those numbers are good to buy at 2001-2002!
I am thinking how much those who bought at that price gained now!

Yes, and people who invest must understand the risks. Often times the higher the risk the higher the reward. Good ir rather great projects won't mind the bear markets later on.

I hope those extreme crypto critics can get to see this because so far their opinions and judgments have always been clouded by sentimentality and personal perspectives. There are a lot of other businesses and investments out there with huge potential risks as well but all they tend to see/know is only how cryptocurrency can be negatively used.

Now, You saying that they are brands or organization like amazon and yahoo that we can use our money to invest in it? rather than cryptocurrency? I this thiught of mine right?

I agree with others this is a nice thread you got the idea of investing is a time for good patients and virtue when you need to learn and learn from the mistakes. This learn from the mistake thatvI keep on telling can focus on some different fields of jobs and trading as well as investing. So there learning and making a lesson is a good way to earn from it.

I would like to remind you that the % of scams of companies is much more than in the securities market and the life expectancy of such projects is not more than 1 year.

We need to learn more, we need to practice more. Patience is very important here, it is possible for us to get any loss the first time, but if we want to learn and do more then the profit will come. Don't be tired to keep learning.

Investors would help the development of the project while in the other hand they will assure a money for it. The only thing that the project will more productive if the team will create a positive approaches so that we will be able to secure a profit that will continue us to trust mo3e projects to come.

The reality is that there will be people who don't do research and will eventually invest in the ICO even if they are fraudulent. I am personally very deceived by most because you see every week that people have been taken. These scammers are getting smarter and finding ways to ma

losing in my opinion is one of the risks that have occurred in the crypto world. it's just that we need to be more careful about these risks. because loss is one risk that is very detrimental to us.

We have to look at a bigger picture when investing and not only the current situation. Even if  crypto goes to zero it
does not mean that it will fail forever. There is always chance to recover as we can see from the past experience.

Learning is earning, yes people need to be aware of cryptocurrencies as how it works just don't blindly invest by trusting others and feel after sometime if you lose money. Crypto is a matter of time, patience and situation. You cannot get profit all-time and you need to invest in a right coin for a better return this is not a good time to sell coins, it's better to hodl in this tough times.
