This project uses its imagery to challenge the very bank that commissioned its production. This is because in 2000, any 5th series notes became practically worthless overnight. Anyone who held these notes were left with a collectible worth a fraction of its nominal value. It highlights the fragility of fiat, and the fact that even one of the most valuable notes on earth can be practically reduced to the paper it was printed on by a centralised authority. 9 of the 10 notes were already sold to private investors to finance this project.
