Even now you can get profit from bitcoin trading.

Its a free market btw so everyone can do anything with their money, including price manipulation. If you wanted to cash out then you are free to do so.

There's plenty of examples of bullish or bearish news affecting coin prices in extreme ways, with some coins like Bitconnect going from a few hundred dollars to sub-$50 in under an hour being a relatively well-used example. A lot of people flock to one news source for crypto information, so one upvoted post on Reddit can cause massive price movements; because of this, crypto trading's both similar and different than traditional trading, with one difference being higher volatility.

It's a free world anyway, so whether there is manipulation or not only depend on how investors contribute to the market. If you see that the market is slowly dropping, you are free to get out anyway or you can have patience in it.

sometimes news doesn't have much of an effect. i remember last year when btc-e was taken offline by the USA government, it hardly caused a blip, and the market was at a new ATH a week later.

i guess there's the bitfinex/tether FUD, now that bitfinex has just cut off fiat deposits. but does anyone remember how that turned out last year? the market didn't care and actually began rising!

That is what happens most of the time in a highly speculative market when all the assets are driven based on speculations and nothing like real demand or real life usage and that would always be a challenge to see manipulations being a norm for the whales until we start seeing the main thing being a possibility as mentioned.

People are always busy expecting bull run, wanting to get rich pretty fast and that is something that would always affect them in the long run as they tend not to get the need to focus on the long term most times. But for someone who can at least trade effectively, they tend to have a better chance to accumulate more in the market but for now, FOMOs and FUDs are just means to drive the market the way some people please.

People actually keep placing manipulation like it should be a problem or it is not something that is applicable in every market even though it is a whole lot limited in regulated markets but one way or the other, it still gradually happens once in a while.

Like you said, it is a free market and anyone can decide to do whatever they please or offload their holdings anytime they feel like, but one thing is that people should understand that there is no way manipulators will make any profit if they only drive the market in one direction, so one way or the other, the same way they drive the market down, the same way they will do it up, and vice versa.

I agree with what you've just said despite of this bearish trend i still see some enthusiasts that are willing to gamble their patience in order to gain some profit. That should be some kind of role model act but it's too risky if you don't know what you were doing.

I think that for the most part we need to see adoption by big companies, there's a lot of banks, corporations and enterprise firms looking into blockchain technology, but very few are actually interested in the current cryptocurrency lineup, instead looking to produce digital versions of the dollar, euro, pound etc for inter-bank transfers. I think if we can get 1 bank to accept BTC as a proxy for fiat, then we will see the moon soon after.

This is just apart of natural emotional of some trader and whales who want to make alot of profit. The crypto market will bull run because currently the volume and the total market cap very low compared stocks market, and crypto market still very young and has potential to keep growth in the long run.

The simple answer why crypto will bull run again is because the previous years the crypto market already bull run a few times. So we can predict the crypto market will bull run again later but we dont know when its start. With low market cap and young market crypto price is easy to push, and this is will come later. There are two reasons why there is always a crypto market bull happening once a while.

One is the banks, people are sick of the same type of financial world and want to take the control to their hands and even if they are going to lose money let it be because they made a bad investment and not because the bank they trusted their money with bankrupted because of bad financial decisions, I would rather lose my money than someone else lose my money.

Yes, people are now turning over banks and they are using bitcoin for other payment methods as well. There was a time when bitcoin was used to be considered as scam and no one was using it. It’s very hard for us to stop the manipulation. The whales will always sell when the price is high and newbies also get in when the price is high cause they believe that the price will continue to go up and forgetting that cryptocurrency is something volatile.

What people do is to take part of what they have in banks and invest in cryptocurrency and once they accomplish their target they will also withdraw that money with the profit from their cryptocurrency wallet to their bank account. Lol. I beg to disagree. The reason why we have a massive bull run last year is that because lots of people FOMO. Last years FOMO was real let me tell you that. You can even categorized people being crazy because the amount of money flowing in the market is unbelievable.

Bull run is somehow manipulated by those investors and pumps. We all know that cryptocurrency is still very young that only few have known this. Now, bull run is one way to attract new investors and at the same time making the rich holders richer. The decentralized system of cryptocurrency makes the task for manipulators easier. in my opinion, investors now expect too fast to make a profit, all they think about is how to follow a project, see how it works, if it's good then invest, and when prices have gone up in a range that is supposed to be good, then it's time to sell then move to another project

Some coins will tend to have bull run, especially new listed coin they can easily make it pump, but those larger and established coins will be needing group of investors in different areas to make it notice a jump.

I don't think that Altcoins will dictate a bull run, if they can then I guess with the big update of ETH network that's going to commence this month, there should have been a hype, but there's none, ETH does not have significant rise, BTC is the only coin that will move the entire crypto.

In my opinion, not all the countries may legalize the crypto due to policies already formulated and implemented in the countries. This is because adoption of Bitcoin in such countries would mean a shift from the existing system to a new system which is not always rewarding. The time cost of the changes in the system might not be acceptable to many governments and this is why many of them are reluctant to accept it.

That must be a valid point. When there will be more bitcoin adopters then there will be less chances for had manipulations. But, it may not happen over night as I do see people are too hesitant on adopting new technology.

People who target long term will never get trapped. Still, I agree spreading awareness about the futures of bitcoins and how to make use of it is always important one. But unfortunately, most bitcoiners are not finding time for this. Well since cryptocurrency is decentralized it very hard for us to state what the value will be and if you use the quest for profits making or market manipulation as the basis for not recovery of the cryptocurrency market you might be wrong in some ways because it only demands that control the price of any decentralized commodity and not any other factor.

According from the latest charts, bitcoin has increased by at least 5% from its price and other altcoins are currently developing from their bear state. Whales have the capacity to manipulate the price by acquiring most of the bitcoins in this fragile market price. The bull run can be predicted by studying the market and developing awareness by educating individuals about cryptocurrency may be the first step towards achieving profit. But one must know how to educate himself in order to avoid such loss. Relying too much on others might yield the opposite effect on what they have in mind.

I don't know about this run but it looks like it stem from the bitcoin ETF is getting attention again. It was taken away because the USA government was in shutdown and when it is in shutdown its hard for SEC to give a clear answer and would have probably just say NO because it is the easier option and since they are not working on shutdown it wouldn't be fair to expect them to check all details and give a proper answer.

However, since shut down is over now (and usa is in emergency somehow?) SEC can officially start looking back to it and that is why ETF is getting attention again, maybe this time around just because ETF was withdrawn to not give them more work and was understanding of their situation SEC will be kinder towards ETF and actually look at it positively and accept it. All this train of thought probably increased it a bit.

I think it depends a lot on whales. Because the decentralized market is difficult to find true investors. To get them, altcoins need to come up with big incentives because only high interest rates can attract true investors.

Yes, in very beginning people always hesitate to adopt a new technology without having good knowledge about it. For example, when I enter the crypto world I think that I was the only person in my area who knew about it, even it was very difficult for me to convince my family member and friend about investment in bitcoin.

I agree with your opinion. Cryptocurrency needs investors today. A lot of whales who have withdrawn their money in crypto due to the bearish season that we suffering right now. In result of that, lots of project fail to reach their softcap and coins that hard to grow up. We need investors not only hunters who spread the word of a certain project. We need some improvements in this industry so that investors come back again. Maybe, the assurance of real ICO may help cryptocurrency to retrieve the support of investors.

This rise and fall is so natural I guess because bitcoin investment or any other crypto is anonymous and nobody can know about upcoming price of the coin, so this market use to rise with high purchasing which has been done last year which is making price gain high this year so for me this is the only reason why bull has started to move forward again.

There is always a rise and recovery in the economy. At times, there might be a prolonged stagnation and a fall but since we have the cyclical models, the market is expected to repeat the boom period over again and so on.
