Hello community, i wanted to ask that is there any place where i can buy large quantity of bitcoins like 15-20 bitcoins and remain anonymous at the same time. any help would be appreciated :)

Firstly I doubt if you'll be able to purchase 15 to 20 bitcoins....

Probably since you're just asking for the sake of it, there are numerous exchanges you can purchase bitcoins,though some requires you to prove your identity(KYC),such as Luno and I guess that's against your request for anonymity
Try coinbase it's the safest,secure and most reliable exchange, I think it should suit your request to buy 15 to 20 bitcoins..Lol ;D

To be properly anonymous you'll need to pay with cash. That means paying someone in person, and probably winding up in a bag somewhere, or depositing it in someone's bank account and the bank will make sure you end up in a bag instead considering the amounts at play.

OTC, over the counter, is the best way to buy large quantities of bitcoin while remaining totally anonymous.

You do not have to go through exchanges, as KYC would be required to make a large purchase.

By paying in cash or going to the bank depositing the fund has actually revealed such person identity and that violated his/her motive to go anonymous. I think the best way to do that is to register on the most good exchanges like Bittrex, Binance, Polonix etc.  Though he might not be able to buy less than below 1BTC if he doesn't do KYC and even if KYC is done, he might not be able to buy more than 2-5BTC a day. That means he has to wait a little long before he could buy the really amount he wanted to buy.

That will not work, at least Poloniex and their new policy don't allow anon users anymore.

I not sure if local bitcoins allow it, but if i would like to do that i think the right way would be:

1.-Download TOR.
2.-Open an account on Localbitcoins.
3.-Make a deal for Cash.
4.-Meet with the seller, bring the cash and give him your btc addy.

By the way, if you really want to be anon, i recommend you to not use bitcoin, you should better use Monero or Zcash.

Maybe you can get that through another person that has a ledger and many Bitcoins. Everything in crypto is turning centralized since governments see its natural purpose day after day.

It looks like all exchanges have limited limits for disbursement. And that requires KYC unless you buy in a gradual manner according to the daily limit of the exchange that you use, it will still keep your identity anonymous.

This is the least I could recommend for someone who like to purchase bitcoin. I do not have the trust in escrow even here in the forum. I have seen some negative feedback also in some member who had done escrow service.

I suggest you to do the KYC and then purchased huge amounts of bitcoin. There is nothing to hide and worry for holding bitcoin unless you are laundering money which you do not own or the money you will going to buy was the profit being made from corruption so that is why you want to be anonymous? KYC is only a requirement and should have nothing to worry about.

It is hard to buy Bitcoin now in exchanges and remain anonymous because most of them are now requiring KYC on every account. I think if you really want to buy it anonymously, make a dummy account then find a legit Bitcoin seller and have a trusted escrow to help you with the transaction.

The only way to be anonymous is to transact thru peer to peer and meet up. Although it is very dangerous and risky. If you want to make sure that it is not a scam ask for a refferral and investigate the person if he is credible to meet your qualifications.

If there is one, I wouldn't recommend you going with their services as they will probably run off with your money. They are not the ones asking for the KYC verification but it is a compliance demanded by the government and come to think of it, it is more for your protection rather than theirs. Let us remember that regulation is the government's way on co-existing with cryptocurrencies and its citizens without it we will have a much more criminally active industry due to the nature of these cryptocurrencies.

If you want to stay anonimous then your only option is to buy Bitcoins with cash and in face to face transactions.
All exchanges have legal obligstions according to anti money laundering and anti terorrism financing sp KYC is obligatory for them.
The only question is how much you can trust one single person to buy such big amount of Bitcoins. Anyway, my suggestion would be to buy such amount in multiple transactions and not from only one person.

Probably there are no platforms that allows you to buy bitcoins anonymously like before but i think an offline option is still there.

various ways to do that theres one peer to peer exchange called hodlhodl that i personally use or else you can use localbitcoins but for that you must need KYC now so i suggest you buy a couple of identities from darknet first and then KYC wont be an issue for you, Some people also sell verified localbitcoins accounts , theres also remitano exchange which is good for peer to peer btc and usdt trades but in all cases to stay truly anonymous you would need to meet the sellers and pay hand to hand cash

If I did have the money to purchase 15-20 BTC, would throwing the same amount at mining hardware, be it alts or Bitcoin hardware, be a viable way of obtaining the same amount of coins? I would assume difficulty adjustments and collapsing alt prices might do me in.

The question is a good one. And given that the two prevailing answers here are (1) KYC, AML, etc. or (2) LocalBitcoins dot com it seems we've found an opportunity in the market to make acquisition and ownership more of a secret. There's a viable above board market for such a service. People should have to resort to local bitcoins or escrow from one of the three escrow players on this forum.

This will probably work but you are not yet anonymous I can add step # 5.  after receiving your btc from the seller find a bitcoin mixing service using a tor browser for a more secure transactions then create another third party wallet for the mixed bitcoin this time it will be very hard to trace where it come from always use tor browser and vpn for your transactions.

For this large amount of btc I would only see step by step purchase on exchanges but for the most famous one that will have the volume to stay in reasonable price I think it is not possible anymore to be anonymous due to KYC procedure.

There are offline exchangers with which you can purchase cryptocurrency, remain completely incognito. You can find such exchangers on special listing services.

Though it is difficult to  buy that ammount of cryptocurrency while being anonymus, it is not impossible. There are some exchange service through whom, you can remain anonymous and buy 15-20 coins without any apparent problems.

I think you can buy it on the exchange, the stock exchange average still retains anonymity. like coinexchange, hitbtc, livecoin, on the stock exchange it hasn't implemented the KYC system so I think your anonymity will be safe.

You can buy it on the reputable trading floor. You only need to set the purchase order and that the number of bitcoin you need will be transferred to your wallet without you having to provide any personal information.

I think no place you can buy bitcoins around 20 maybe you can buy it to another person but no need a courier to still anonymous and for your safety, if i were you better to buy bitcoin in almost all of the exchanger online for the less hassle, safe and fast transaction.

Well if you know someone personally who owns that much btc and is willing to sell them, then that's your best option though that's a far throw. And doing it on a single exchange isn't that safe as well since it'll look suspicious. Better do it little by little dude.

In this scenario there is no way of escape. Buying it from someone directly also means the person will know about it. Bank do not allow withdrawal of such cash without reasons, so bank will still know about it. There is no way someone somewhere will not know that you have purchase such amount of bitcoin.

Buying that much bitcoins is sure to arouse suspicion and there is no way that you are going to do that whiles staying anonymous. It’s because of these kind of things that’s why they are pushing for regulations of cryptos.

why should be anonymous just to buy bitcoin, if you don't have bad intentions to manipulate the market, then buying bitcoin on the market is not a problem. but if there are other things there must be bad intentions here.

you cant blame a person if they want to hide their identity it is just like doing a bounty and you dont want to submit your KYC form, since 15 to 20 bitcoin is huge amount if we convert in any currency then he only wants to hide its identity because of security issue that is the point.

Are you serious about buying that large amount of bitcoin or you are just asking for enquiry sake. There are many genuine exchanges that you can easily buy that amount of bitcoin that you are talking about, you can also buy from trusted escrows available in your locality.

i think the best place to purchase a large scale or quantity of bitcoin and still remain anonymous from the general public and globe is for one to consider buying from peer to peer in his or her location and/or domain as it is the only way it can be kept anonymous. these days you hardly get exchangers and third parties that do not ask for kyc verifications for that purpose.

buy from an individual exchanger that just does not need KYC to make transactions. even though you will get a slightly more expensive price, at least you get anonymized status when buying BTC, because official cooperation only applies to resellers with exchangers, while your relationship with resellers is based on reputation

I think if you want buying bitcoin in large amount, you should find a big exchanger with biggest daily volume transaction like binance or okex and others big exchanger. I am believe it still anonymous because bitcoin address still anonymous

Cash would be probably best idea, I think localbitcoins allows cash deals but for big deals they will probably require kyc.

This is the only proper answer to truly getting anon Bitcoins.  But.... the moment you spend them, you aren't anon anymore.

And this is why regulation is all about, after all doing kyc in major exchanges is actually for us, they're just protecting us.

Well if OP really want to buy huge amount then buy on all exchange sites, buy at least 2 bitcoin each, go to top 10 sites then you already have 20 bitcoin. It's sound hilarious but it can be the least he can do.

It would not be possible to do this safely, your best bet is to buy them in small quantities in multiple occasions. This way you avoid kyc proceduress and still trade safely

I think your best shot at it is to purchase them over the counter (OTC) instead of signing up on any cryptocurrency exchange which will definitely require you to fill in some proof of identity.

you can purchase bitcoin in large amount but you can't do it instantly.
There are some exchange that you can have less than 10BTC transaction in a day without doing any KYC.
So you just need to transact in couple of days. But if you want to do it just meet a people in person who can sell you large amount of BTC.

As other have probably already mentioned, you best way to purchase a large amount of coins anonymously is to do so via some OTC markets or face-2-face exchange.

I think that such amounts are mainly engaged in private organizations, I know one in Moscow. There guys work with amounts up to 100 bitcoins, but for such exchanges need serious security.

The best bet is localbitcoins, its the only way to really not get scammed, travel to different cities if the people locally can't meet your volume
