Somebody from this forum with legendary status and positive trust score, lended 0.065btc from me on the Indian chat room in bitsler.
He gave me his account as a guarantee. Now he is not active here neither in bitsler.
I know account trading is wrong in the forum but please guide what to do with it.
Publishing any information about the account is good or not?

How did he gave you his account?

Did you verify it is his account?

So, if I understand correctly, he "sold" you his account for 0.065BTC
Can you log into this account ?

I don't know what you should do with the account as I despise account trading. You shouldn't have taken that deal..

I can not believe that people with a positive trust score that too with legendary status are doing this. It is now over 1 week from the deadline of repayment.
I might have to sell the account for getting my money back, though I hate it to sell it. 

The account is perfectly ok and I have changed the email address also.

Legendary account holder doesnt mean that they are all perfect even they have much knowledge when it comes to crypto but when gambling addiction hits you then expect
these kind of decisions would really be plausible.The wrong thing here is that why did you grant his request of loan and having a collateral of this Legendary account.
If you do tend to sell it then its still useless.Why? it would really be tagged and that account would be useless even if you post on scam accusations board finding this user would be impossible.

That is why don't trust anyone here on the forum because even high rank with high trusted score could scam anyone for bitcoin.
The worst thing here is it is not allowed to sell BTCtalk account here on the forum you can receive negative trust if you sell the account.

Anyway, how many days that he hasn't contacted you? Maybe he is busy these days that is why he's not active/online and wait for more days before you doing anything you want to the account.
The best you can do is to make a new thread in scam accusation and post the Bitsler account, forum account UID and the conversation between you and him as a proof that you deal with him. So, that DT members can tag him.

Just sell it to me for 0.15btc straight. Do not be too ethical, cover your loss. Nobody gives a shit anyway.

I am considering my options friend, don't worry about my ethical behavior. But I get the sense of your suggestion, selling the account to you will only do greater harm to this community.

Anyway,posting here about your issue is pointless.You should contact a Bitcointalk forum moderator and tell him about this legendary member's account nickname.Is it a problem for you to reveal the legendary account nickname here?The mods should block this account and maybe try to track the account owner by using the account info(email or previous posts).Perhaps this legendary account is hacked.
Why do you lend bitcoins to people,who use Bitcointalk accounts as collateral?

Trust is good but it is often abused. So, be careful while dealing with people online, especially in online forums.

There's also a possibility that OP bought an account and is trying to make it look like the account was a collateral. He could be hoping that people will say that since he did not buy it he can use it as his own from now. I'm not saying that it happened, only that it could have.
If what you're telling us is true I'd take the account and use it to earn back some of that lost loan. Don't sell it. What if the owner comes back?

I do not understand why are taking such things on site? Why dont you move to the bitcointalk thread as well so everyone can see how your progress will work. And in bitcointalk forum too there is some escrow who is willingly to help you with your transaction freely so why you make the transaction outside from the forum? May be this will be lesson to learn for you

gamblers sometimes cannot control what they do, sadly
he certainly didn't mean to scam you if he gave you his legendary account , but seems like he lost and cannot get the money to get it back
or as I said, could have some real life problems, things happen

You don't know the account owner by any means so the deal is already finished and even you complaint here no one can help you. Even setting up a scam accusation wont help because who will be tagged here?  Wait, the account should be tagged then. :)

give it sometime , since he gave you his Legendary account that means he will come back
the majority of Legendary accounts worth way more than what you gave him especially after the merit system was applied
so don't feel scammed cause I'm sure this user will return (unless something happened to him of course )

me personally wouldn't  sell my account even if I was offered 2 BTC  and I'm not even with green trust

It also depends om the person itself, either he just need some cash or not. Anything can be done if people having some money problem. And I am thinking here that their coversation is not recorded as well so there is no proof that he is telling the truth too. But assume that he is giving away his 0.065 to get a two years account, I will still think it is really worth. Either he sells it or use it for his own good then it is up to him

That is exactly what I am doing. But I have to cover my loss anyway after a deadline.

Even if the account's owner have some money problem, I'm quite sure that he will let it go for 0.065btc only as he can get much more than that with the account. Lets have more positive thinking for this case so the lender will not be in too much worry although he do not need to be so because he hold the account already, don't he?

by the way, why it is on a gambling board? Although the case is happening on a gambling site, the main issue is not about gambling but it is more about reputation. So it is better to move this thread to the most appropriate place.
