Title: BTCC Mint business is over; Long live BTCC Mint!
Post by: bobbyclee on October 15, 2018, 04:37:45 AM
BTCC to Discontinue Its BTCC Mint Physical Bitcoins Business

After careful consideration, BTCC will stop producing and selling BTCC Mint physical bitcoins effective October 12th, 2018.

We are discontinuing BTCC Mint to focus on our other products: BTCC Exchange (https://www.btcc.com/), Mobi Wallet (https://www.mobi.me/), and BTCC Pool (https://btccpool.com/).

Thank you for your support and loyalty.

We will continue providing assistance for BTCC Mint customers. Please contact us at support@btcc.com if you have any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,
—The BTCC Team

This was just announced.  A sad day indeed.  The 2018 V-Series (One Bitcoin and One-Tenth Bitcoin) were the last production coins from BTCC Mint.  Respectively, only 150 and 900 of them were made in total.

Total mintage of all coins are here:

(I hope to organize all funding addresses into a text file, for people who are interested.)

Let's hope that that the values of all BTCC Mint coins will go up!

Long Live BTCC Mint.

thanks,
Bobby

It was not the same without bobbyclee in control. But still sad. Hope they make some 8) auctions to sell things from production line.

Dam, another one down.  Thanks for the good run Bobby.  The no input coins were a nice draw and something different.

Bummer.... what should people do now with their "free shipping" coupons for their next order from the last debacle??

edit:  on a positive note.... your speech on physicals in Vegas won't be a giant BTCC shill.  ;D

Most likely eat it unfortunately.  That roll was a disaster and probably one of the reasons they stopped cause it wasnt their thing to make a nice collectable

Maybe Bobby can pop open a couple 5k or 10k chip rolls and exchange the coupon for a chip at the show.  Seems reasonable ;)

Thanks for your contributions Bobby.  Can you shed any light on if the recent forum bullying had anything to do with this decision? Perhaps this could be a teachable moment for the community.

If both of you just do a little more investigating rather than make snide comments, you'd find your answers.  Bobby has nothing to do with BTCC anymore.  His final task for them was overseeing the keys on this last run.  I don't believe he's even a "consultant" anymore.  The company is going in a different direction and focusing the majority of their efforts on their exchange and wallet.  Pretty damn funny you think a few people bitching about a bad shipping decision would shut down a branch of a company.   ::)

Don't shatter their precious little egos, it is us peasants who are in the wrong. Always. They always have the moral highground.

Sorry to see you go.

Sad to see you go as I was hoping for a 2nd round of chips being released but I guess politics were playing a huge part in this decision, that's a shame.

Long live BTCC Mint indeed, you'll be missed!

Sad to hear. BTCC has released some nice products over the years. On the bright side, hopefully premiums for our coins will increase  ;D.
GL on your next venture. Maybe you can make a limited release boobyclee coin  ;)

Bobby...The site to check your chips funding is down.

Is this permanent? IF not when will it be back online?

If it is permanent, can you please provide us a list to know what the public address is in reference to the number is on the chip?

 Thankyou.
