while I am more focused on old tokens, like ethereum or bitcoin
judging from the number of tokens, I was a little hesitant with the development of other tokens..

the parameter is,
1. confidence
2. knowing in detail
3. project partners
4. community
5. a lot of reviews
from the fifth, it can be concluded that the project has fulfilled the requirements to become an investment place

In order to invest in the crypto market, you need to decide why you are going to do it and for what. You have to decide on what exactly cryptocurrency you want to invest your money in. As long as bitcoin's use as a currency remains unclear, the price is likely to be volatile and the risk of a bubble is relatively high. New crypto is heavily dependent on the price of the bitcoin.

Investing in soemthing new is a key to the future and all of us will do it without any dependences do they want it or not. Without investing in new projects crypto will go down I am sure.

investing in bitcoin is a very good choice for investors who have substantial capital, but it is very risky with very unstable prices, actually a lot of altcoins can be quite good long-term investments, such as eth, which is quite stable, maybe lately the price has dropped, but at times like this it can be possible to hunt investors, because there are so many possibilities for eth to have a promising price

Why not? It is better to invest in a new crypto. But at the moment do not forget that there are better coins in the market like PRG, ICX and LISK. These are totally great and will shine very soon.

It kind of depends on how much money you have to invest into cryptocurrencies.  I am not a financial advisor and this is not financial advice... all just my opinion.  But here is what I would do:

Diversify!  Let's say you have $1000 to invest.  I would take a pick out of the top 10 coins and put maybe 60-80% of your money there.  With the rest of the money I would look for projects that you think are interesting and have good teams that have performing good work.  These coins should be very inexpensive today but may be worth much more later.

Don't do that, new meaning has no track record history so depend on what you make analysis?. Replace money into market ( old and new coins ) is very risky right now because market still doesn't show any good moving, besides that many new crypto fail before listing. Invest into bitcoin is wise step and keep doing that until market go up again.

Yes I will but of course it will have terms and condition. That new crypto must offer a new technology/ a good product / a brilliant Idea. And i will check their teammate background too if they are skillful or not and of course the team must not be anymous. after that their developer must be active and if in the start time they already have a product it will be more good. Cause invest in a new crypto without researching is too risky than buy the top cryptocurrency.

I think if you want to buy some of new crypto coin you should make some research for details. Like you should read the white paper, their team, their update project and many think. And avoid the coins/token with hyip program this will not make you profit. But i think you can buy with 10 top coin at coinmarketcap for long investment

for you to do that you, need to know about the project you are about to invest. some of the project are not legit and how do you know those that are not legit?
for me, you will look the team mangers and and the economic factor of the project if they will meet there hardcap. secondly check if the softcap is much because to any project with much volume of softcap hardly succeed. to me this are just the guild lines and also do more research.

Usually, investing in BTC is good but at the same time you can spread your risk by also investing in other coins. The ways to take into account before investing in altcoins is to look and see if you feel the project will get investments or if the coin would be strong and good enough to compete against the market.

Try to browse the altcoin announcement thread and also the bounties.
You will see there that projects are just repeating in industry. Like ICO's for exchange, environment and gambling.
If I were you I would look for something unique.
Do not go with just the hype. For a lot of times they tend to be scams so be careful with that.

Bitcoin is a good one already. If you want to divide your capital more then better make a good research first.

Investing to new coins now isn't a good idea anymore though there are really exceptional coins out there.
But what makes me worry are those coins that are good in promotion but soon their project will turn into a scam.
They won't show their true nature in the beginning. What you need to do is to do a lot of research about them.

Investing on bitcoin is good idea but by investing on the other coins you can be able to make more profits in short or long time but not all coins were worth to invest so you need enough skills to evaluate the project before investing and invest only if the project is worthy or better stick with bitcoin itself.

Yes, I will invest in a new project, with a note, the project that I followed must be transparent and clear in its development from day to day, even the following month and year. Because following a new project, the risk can be said to be very large, and I am advised to be more careful in choosing it so that I will not regret it. If the admin and their team are not active, it's better to just leave it.

Lots of thing to be considered first before you do make an investment not just carelessly follow other suggestions without any corresponding analysis of your own or research because
even if its your closest friend it can lead up to a bad investment or he might just use you or whatsoever.

Things to be considered:

Transparent/Good team/developers
Realistic Roadmap
Potential Project

It's really hard to choose which new altcoins to invest in now because many of them are not unique project. There are already competitors offering the same usecase. But I prefer to invest in trading exchange coins because I know that once the ICO is successful, they will surely have a tradeable exchange where I can sell it easily.

I only invested in bitcoin because a friend convinced me to. If there is a new cryptocurrency, what are the parameters / requirements that would make you decide to invest on it?

in one word pumpability.

i have given up on finding a good currency a while ago because i saw the real face of altcoins and i didn't like what i saw. so now i only get involved with altcoins realistically instead of naively and with false hopes.
this means a new coin is only a viable investment for me as long as it can be pumped more. in this case some altcoins that are new have experienced pumping teams behind them that will pump it effectively and big which means a huge profit in short term. of course you should also be careful not to get dumped on by the same pumping team because that is what comes next.

Ofcourse! I honestly made up to 25x my investment on ICOs (new cryptocurrency platforms that aren't even launched) last year during the bullish market. But during these red and bear market, there is no guarantee of profit. And even if there is, double digit multipliers are very hard to achieve as of the moment.

many considerations that must be taken to have crypto. the concept, technology, existing team will certainly be important things to learn in order to know the potential of the existing crypto. If just follow my friend's taste is not a good thing when it does not want to try to learn and deepen their own. It took an awful lot of crypto fundamental aspects that must be learned and that's important when many want to get lucky and that's the goal of many people started to go in crypto.

Considered Bitcoin as Blue Chips crypto it will gives you a potential return in future but its a  long term. New crypto or ICO just out of the market,  the return is huge but also the risk is high. Check the btc ann you will find a lot of interesting project that will give you a handsome return in future.

You can quickly earn x2 and more only on young promising altcoins. I managed to multiply my state on such cryptocurrencies as OCN (x3), UPP (x3), SOUL (x2). In a falling market, profit is possible only on new coins if you are not greedy and sell on time.

Thats too generalised question really because "īn which coins to invest is like million dollar question always". And as you said most of the people will surely get into the bitcoin for the first time and some of them may stay with the BTC only. They do this because they feel very safe in their. If you want to invest in altcoins too then at the first time you should be looking after the Top 50 coins only. This is suggested because they will at least have the guarantee of getting recovered if they fall any time in the future. For the other coins apart from top 50 it could be very tough task to achieve as they get lesser attention for the trading in down time. So choose wisely and make trades on the top coins only.

The years 2017 and 2018 has seen a massive influx of blockchain projects into the space, including those that actually do not need the blockchain technology to function. This also saw a lot of scam projects and exit scams taking over the space, with resultant effects of huge losses stemming from investments in 'projects' the owners had no plans whatsoever to further it's course. A friend lost over 23 ETH at the price of $700+ to scam ICOs and this has badly effected his finances (invest what you're willing to lose, he knows that..but a loss is a loss regardless).

This has affected the perception of a lot of investors and how they see new crypto projects. Many have stayed away (like myself) from investments in ICOs until further notice, pending when there's some stability with investments in ICOs. I can not afford to lose money any further, so I'm not putting money in ICOs at the moment. I'm rather investing established coins

That's why there's a need of deeper research and proper knowledge regarding to the said project, everything is possible both side needs to be well
studied, if you can handle the risk and you believe that there's potentials taking that chance can bring something to your investment, even new coins
can be profitable as long as there's development and good team behinds.

Don't we all do that when we invest into a new ICO? There has been literally BILLIONS of dollar invested in ICO market in 2017 and 2018 combined, thats more investments made to NEW crypto currencies than some countries GDP and even combined stock market all invested into new crypto currencies and I am not even talking about the market in general I am talking about the ICO's that came out in the last 2 years and got funded.

There was couple of them that even passed the treshold of hundred million dollars which makes them already a big huge company whereas companies like whatsapp and all that startup jazz ones got much much less money for a lot less returns. It is a wild world in ICO land however we have all been there at one point or another.

not excluded. If there is confidence in the project and its prospects are visible, then of course you can buy coins. But at the moment, the payback period of such investments is stretched for an unknown amount of time.

Very well said. Not every new cryptocurrency introduced to the market succeed. As for me, my parameters on investing on a particular coin is the usefulness of their product and system since no one wants to buy a shit right? Lastly every investor has this instinct if the coin will pump in a span of time or not it really depends on the market situation.

With so many coins in the market and new one coming in, only proves that new coins are worth investing, in fact so many people made profits on these ICO's sp it's best to spread your portfolio and include new coins or existing coins apart from Bitcoin.

one of the biggest problems that you will encounter when trying to invest in a new coin is that the new coin has no history so you can never analyze it to be able to come up with an educated decision. as a result you will end up making a bet in a new coin and because of the bad history of altcoins and their pump and dumps these types of bets never end well for you in the long run.
with that said the preference is obviously always to invest in an altcoin that has at least some amount of history so you can make a better decision based on analysis of the pump and dumps that happed so far.

I invested in bitcoin because I believed in it but also this didn't stop me to invest in some other altcoins. I think it is worth investing in more than just one coin.

I only invested in bitcoin because a friend convinced me to. If there is a new cryptocurrency, what are the parameters / requirements that would make you decide to invest on it?

Since you are in crypto  most probably the reason that attract you is to earn some money from this new technology investment. So if there is a new coin that is able to help you achieve what you want in a faster way why won't you make use of this chance. For me i will definitely consider the new coin investment however i will only do so if i am really comfortable in choosing the right coin as we know some might be scam or can make you lose big overnight, without a strong knowledge in choosing is very risky.

It is now full of interest altkoinov that can rise well. All you need to do is track the market. I personally choose for myself the top 20-30 coins according to a cap, as more menie sure about them.

You will not make a good profit investing only on one coin, you should spread or increase your portfolio to increase your chances for a good profit, if you only invest only on one coin like Bitcoin you will be disappointed because all your hopes and profits are tied only on one coin.

I buy new tokens that I think have a good vision and a good team. But you should know that, buying a new token is more risky than investing in old tokens.. Also if you invest in the good tokens, you will get more money than this new token. So I'm buying a new tokens with a certain part of my money, But i not buy new tokens with my all money because of risk.

with the current conditions and situations I am afraid that if I start investing with new coins because even now there is no guarantee of price certainty and the development of cryptocurrencies, in my country crypto currencies are still prohibited for direct transactions

I would invest in a new crypto because usually new cryptos starts with a low price so it is more beneficial because when the price goes up all the investment goes up

Yes, I always look for a new Cryptocurrency project for me to invest, but of course the project I researched before I decided to join and invest in it. Because at this time there are a lot of new projects that fail, so we must be smart to choose a good Cryptocurrency for us to invest. Don't let our money go to waste.

well, this is an interesting discussion for all members here. for new coins, especially those who still have ico projects. this problem is a matter of knowledge, experience, especially products and technology of the coin. it's difficult in every choice because we have to be prepared on coins or ico scams can always happen. but if you want to be safer, you can invest in bitcoin and altcoin that have been traded.

I prefer to invest in stable coins from top 20... And they are very cheap now...

I believe that in the next six months, only the mad will be invested in new cryptocurrencies, the market price is restrained from falling, and probably flat is waiting for us throughout October and the first half of November.

I would not risk investing in new and unverified coins. I'm afraid to invest in something that I do not trust. Because until the coin becomes popular and does not earn credibility, I would not recommend investing in it.

To invest in a new coin I can make only a draft of the new coins. If it is really good and unique, then it will be a good investment in the long run.

It is certainly true. There are an awful lot of crypto and not just continue to just the bitcoin has increased. We won't know which coins will soar high and certainly invest in a lot of coin making opportunities result will be greater. but the new coins are also not fully can be a good choice. a good developer team will get the spotlight specifically for this.

Actually trying a new crypto or staying with the old one is the same, that is basically looking for profit. What needs to be seen is the extent of future potential. I think there is nothing wrong with trying new things and that doesn't mean leaving the old ones, because the old ones have proven with all their popularity.

IMO, investment in new cryptos will always be profitable if the crypto you invest is potential. Therefore ICO selection should be cautious and careful to avoid potential ICOs. I usually choose the ICO based on the Token sale index and the ICO project manager.

New coins are coming everyday, and only a few of them are remaining on the  market. Investing on a new coin comes with tons of risks. At this time in the cryptomarket, not going after the new coins will be a wise and safe decison.

Of course I would love to do that. I think it does not matter if you will invest in a new or old crypto. What important is as long as you checked that you will gain profit from that crypto. Laways be vigilant in choosing the ICO for your time and effort not to be wasted.

of course not, because in the current market situation, if I invest in a new crypto it only makes me lose, because many new crypto cannot survive and even the price cannot go up (keep going down), therefore I am more interested to invest in old crypto rather than new crypto.

From what we are seeing right now, there's no argument why you have that opinion as newly created coins after hitting the exchange got completely dumped and as an investors you won't be happy seeing your holding depreciated its value, much better to hold existing quality coins when opportunties
had been showed up, buying in the dip and hold it till bounce back happen,  maybe you can invest with new crypto if you really understand the worth
or if the risk is much lesser knowing that in can be usable in the long run.

Bitcoin is a solid investment however unless you have a large amount of money to invest you can only buy fractions of one instead of multiple coins. Newer coins that are cheaper in price become attractive as everyone is searching for the next Bitcoin and hoping to get in there early enough to make some impressive gains. Some of the newer projects are based on real products rather than simple exchanges of value so they offer good opportunities to invest with.

You can see the project that has at new altcoin, then you can see if the project can be accepted and used in the long term, if then, you can buy and start investing in the coin. Then the second, what you have to pay attention to is an exchange, if in the future the coin will be traded in a large exchange like bittrex, binance and others then you don't have to hesitate to start investing in the coin. Both of these factors can be used as references when you want to invest in a new altcoin.

If they use technology for the concept and realistic ICO target, you should join it. I'll not recommended any project because people have different mindset, opinion and asset just fit with what you have. The safety way is invest/ trade with bitcoin, eth and xrp ( for example ) because they already survive and have big investor. Up to you, stay calm and calculate careful.

As things are right now and with sad news emanating daily from the crypto space of scam ICOs, it will really be a bit difficult convincing me to invest my hard earned cash in any. I have been beaten on different occasions. Now I have grown shy trying again. I would rather engage in social work to earn airdrops than buy into an ICO, until things clear up and ICOs become regulated.
