Title: Creating A Community Coin (pulling together)?
Post by: Chris180Z on March 07, 2014, 11:41:07 AM
As there are so many alt coins that exist, wouldn't it make more sense if we all just pulled together?

If we had a project manager that took down the names of people from here (a thread in this section), listed their skills and what they could do, and after a month or two we would start to launch and develop a coin that had hundreds of people involved in developing it?

Wouldn't that make more sense?

We have that.

It is called bitcoin.

Part of how we pull together is by testing stuff, for example we wonder how bitcoin will work when there are no more coins being minted so we create IXCoin, which will stop minting coins in 2015 or so, so that we can be forewarned by the time bitcoin stops minting coins.

So hey get with it duh, we are all working together here.

Help break all the various experiments aka altcoins so we can learn the vulnerabilities and fix them in bitcoin.

New, alt coins will continue (consider how many national currencies there are).

However, creating a quality alt coin with additional functionality and wallet improvements is potentially a good idea... constantly moving forward!
