Title: I WISH NOT TO GIVE UP
Post by: Supremacy2 on October 17, 2018, 07:56:49 PM
I have being trying all possible best to make it work on having just a merit but it seems everything not working and my account is more than 5months old.

Please what other methods can I use to achieve this because I'm about to give up?

I think there is no secret about it rather than make a contributory post to the forum and members. If you make a thread that is useful, after people finish reading, you might be lucky to get merit from the reader.

This will serve as a guide on what we need to do and how to do it.
Thanks

Don't be eager for merits, dont crave for merits,do not yearn for them, this are signs that you'll go back to spamming the forum when you get them, just enjoy yourself on the forum, contribute effectively and be of assistance to someone all without merits in mind, probably then you could just be in line to earn one or two..

And goodness, you sure have to clear your post history,it sure isn't doing your cause any good whatsoever, neither does it look like you've been trying your best.

In life whatsoever you desire so much, and can't stop thinking about, somwthing you lose sleep about hardly ever comes.

if there were short cut to getting merits, then i dont think anyone would be complaining, but you are on the right track, just keeping posting, but make sure you try as much as possible to be constructive in your post. Giving up is not an option, it won't get you to your destination.

you need to make more useful posts and topics so that users can thank you for it in the form of merit. believe it is not as difficult as it may seem at first glance

Spending time more often in alternative cryptocurrency section then you have .1 % of having your first merit.

Then don’t try hard on earning merits, but be helpful member in any means to this forum with or without reward in return.

Agreeing on one project isn’t or can’t even be called “trying at all”.

But I guess my best wasn't good enough.... by James Ingram.

This is a funny post I might say... But I will encourage you not to give up just give your best shot to write a good content on this forum and definitely it will be considered and you will win the heart of having a merit. Or better still buy a copper member rank that's if you definitely want to get involved in bounties ASAP.

I think you should research more about cryptocurrency and what  are the happenings about it. So you can contribute a better and informative post in this forum. The better the post the more chances to get merit. So don't give up and keep working.

I agree, merit was given depends on our post by other people. Actually you dont need to stress yourself to have it. Just construct a good and high quality post which can see people worth it to give merit. You are new here. Better to study more and read articles about bitcoin and about the merit system.

If you are very eager for merit then apart from making quality post you can figure out a problem that the forum is facing and suggest or do something about it, if it catches attentions of senior members here they might give you a merit.

There's no method in getting merits here. I suggest not to try to hard otherwise you will just post garbage or you might force yourself to plagiarize for the sake of having that 1 merit. Just be yourself and comments on topic that you are familiar with. You can also do some research first before posting but don't copy and paste. Goodluck.

You shouldn't give up because of merit. You need to work hard and try to contribute to this forum, then someone will give you merit. Like always try to make an informative post about cryptocurrency, avoid spam and this types of posts also should be avoided! Even you can buy the Copper member tag to treat like a Jr member. Good Luck.

Post on different sections of the forum. Don't limit yourself to one board.

Try not to post on megathreads that have no point in discussing the topic any further because it's already answered countless times.

Here are some topics that might help you in getting a merit or two.

STOP THINKING ABOUT MERIT

You need to align your internal perspective/behavior in order for your to change.  If you keep on thinking about how to earn a merit, then you will tire yourself posting for something that you think a quality post and if that post does not earn a single merit, then you will get frustrated.

If you will just read, read, read for your to learn and grow then post to contribute genuinely, you will be surprised that some of your posts will earn merit (even though you think that the posts are not merit-worthy).  Aside from that, there will be joy in your part because your intention is just to help and no frustration about not getting a merit will come into you.

Ok, so you got your first merit for the OP, so mission accomplished, or is it?  Is a single merit the sole objective, or is the idea to move on from there?

Looking over your posting history, one of the likely main issues is that your posts tend to be rather shallow in content. Giving more thought and research to your posts could raise the stakes, but content matters and, for now, your posts kind of fall short in that area. You really don’t seem to post much at all, which is fine, but if you move on to doing so thanks to that merit you received today, and motivated by enrolling in a campaign, it would be wise to work on the content side, in detriment of the quantity factor. That will give your account better chances of being around in the long run.

I looked at your post history to see if I could award any merits, but I quit fairly soon. Here are my two tips.

- Don't use all caps for titles. I'm not sure why I opene this thread, as I usually ignore the all caps titles.
- Don't make full quotes. It clogs up the thread, and it is very rare for it to be useful. This isthe reason you didn't get any merits from me when I looked at your post history.

That's putting it mildly.  OP makes generic, garbage shitposts like this:

You can read different opinion from others and draw your conclusion from it, so you will have different perspective on your decision making and understand more about Bitcoin.
....which add nothing to any discussion, and sentiments like the above have been expressed thousands of times in spam threads in every spam section on the forum.  That's the problem.  Fortunately for OP, someone gave him a mercy-merit, or he bought the merit he got.  I have little doubt that's the last one he's going to earn if he keeps making garbage posts--and I'm sure he will keep making them.   Shitposters don't want to improve, they just want merits the easy way.  That's why they make threads like this, which are an annoying combination of whining and begging.

create interesting posts, help people, make interesting reviews and you will be able to restore your status
Ah yes, the usual generic answer given by members who've usually earned zero merits so far.  Glad you stopped by.

Yes, rather… actually, it seems it didn’t even matter at all what we wrote here. He did a quick "veni vidi vici", got the merit for the OP (God knows why), and changed the motto to "I wish not to look back", bye bye, arrivederci. Quite a good bounty for two lines (pun intended)…

Edit: 4 replies in a row below from four different accounts with the same activity and created 2 minutes apart from each other ... easy to guess what they are ...

The key is to make some quality posts. Instead of looking for the merit points you need to find some interesting topics. That will definitely bring the merits.

Well doing different activities which are helpfull to other members will earn you merit points. There are no other way as far as i know. Doing activities which are not helpful won't help you.

The achievement of merit is, in some form, an absolute coincidence.
You can write a bad article / post / phrase and you will be given merit for a good joke.
Or you can write really interesting material that you have been looking for for a long time and diligently and they will not give you anything but criticism

Dude you just personally invited merit beggars to begged you for merits, and just by giving this post a merit it will attract more attention. I don't know what you are thinking but what you did is a wrong move, you might be receiving a lot of private messages even if this thread died down. His post definitely is not meritable as he was just asking for help and technically he didn't ask for merits.

And as proof of concept, your posting history shows for credentials a consistent set of bounty reporting walls, in between there are a few one-liners for moments of impasse I figure. Seriously, people by now should know what a merit is all about, and it is not about making your social reports, which benefit at most you and (barely) the campaign.

Don’t get me wrong, social reporting is not a complete barrier to getting merit on a whole for other regular posts, but those other posts do need to be rather decent and consistent to postulate to merit, just as anybody else’s posts. It’s when they hijack your posting history to this extent, that you can’t seriously wonder why you are not getting merited…

I want to share what I have done, maybe can help you.
Here 3 important steps that make me get 61 merit in one month.

1. Find top marited member. In my case, I try to find top marited member on Indonesian Local Forum
2. Read & learn their history post and you will get 3 important thing : Knowledge, Ex of merited posts & how to contribute to this forum.
3. Then start to give distribution to this forum like top marited member do.

Just so you don't misunderstand his statement, learning means you should study their writing pattern, learning to improve on your writing skills & not to copy and paste their writings

Thanks additional explanation for poin number 2.

You got 41 merit. So, you can share your tips / strategy / experience to improve posts quality.

I wish you wouldn't have done that (given OP a merit, which I just noticed you did), because it encourages shitposters to keep posting these unnecessary (and frankly idiotic) threads in Meta.  Op did not deserve a merit for the post he wrote IMO, and I'm sure many members here would agree with that.  It was essentially just whining and thinly-veiled merit begging.  That's what you encourage when you reward members like him with merits.

do more high quality posts , all I know is that . But sometime i dont know what exactly high quality posts are
maybe you should read instead of post then? There is enough information in this sub about merit that I could train a chimp, a child and a chiwawa to get merit - if you are so stupid you cant read then that is down to you.
I'm sure CongHoan IS reading--but only about how to earn merit, and since all the answers about how to do that are written by garbage shitposters with no merits, and who use the same phrases like "we must make quality post and be helpful to earn merit", that's why he wrote what he wrote.

And as to his being perplexed as to what "high quality posts" are, there's no formula or set of criteria that anyone can come up with that's going to help someone who lacks the ability to write well, especially in English which is the language most of the shitposters have extreme difficulties with but nevertheless keep trying to write in.

TMAN's posts are biting, sarcastic, and often are profane, and he can combine those attributes into posts that end up being amusing--and that make complete sense to the reader.  Imagine the average Indonesian or Filipino with no understanding of the English language trying to do an Andrew Dice Clay comedy routine from a script written in English that he has to pronounce phonetically.  That would bomb, people would be running for the exits, and he'd probably get tomatoes hurled at him.

That's basically what it's like when non-English speakers try to make "high quality posts" and why they're confused when their efforts aren't being rewarded.

To receive merits, stop this kind of post you are posting. There are a bunch of threads already regarding on the merit system, you could just simply read it for you to know what you need to do to receive merits, also, you are asking a very obvious question because there are only two reason why you someone don't receive merits at all:

1. His post is not that good( just copy pasting or spamming)
2. His post have a good quality(very informative and accurate)

So I hope this gave you a hint on why you don't receive merits.

P.S: don't give up though
