I appreciate your courageous action to expose these SCAM ICOs. You would have gone against big fishes in this forum who would try to scam thru fake ICOs. Good job!!! This will serve as a guide to us all to avoid getting scammed and lose money.

How exactly is Vantum an exit scam, when they raised no money and closed down the project? I think you need to learn the difference between a scam and a failed project.

"An exit scam is a fraudulent practice by unethical cryptocurrency promoters who vanish with investors’ money during or after an ICO." - Tell me how a project that raised no money can pull off an exit scam?

Well, but how we believe they have not raised money ? It's not easy to identify especially if they used third party API. During open scam accusation you were supporting team instead of stop bounty. Are they distribute bounty stake ? Let me know if they did. So I will mark it "fail". I will suggest you please discuss on main thread about this issue. They have not listed exchange and didn't pay bounty hunters, that's why I mark exit.

However I have marked it failed. I will keep in eye on it.

With Live do you mean they're 100% exposed as a scam but are still collecitng funds or?

For others to easily understand "LIVE", We can say that they are still actively/aggressively/continuing promoting their SCAM project despite of having reports that claims their scam activity.

where currently are scams exposed, I assume googling would bring up some results but it seems like there should be something more officially like on .. cmc or the various trackers (etherscan etc)

According to current market conditions more than 95% ICO's are scam. Most of them have been introduced to grab some BTC funding to manipulate market. Along with this most of altcoins also lost their values nearly about 90%.

You do not have to be a recognized member to start up an ICO scam, anyone and everyone can set up their ICO project

It just depends on how skilled you are to entice people to invest in the project, most people do not make as little as a dime in their project as they didn't do their homework properly

Yeah it's true that most ICO projects are scam, but some Projects have also made some millionaires
So just do your homework properly before investing in any project

I can notice by the name of these ICOs that they sound really fishy. It's not a good time to invest in a ICO right now since most of them are just plain money grabs.

Thank you for that list. It is true that in last months on ICO market is a lot of scammers.
Can you, or some more experienced user than me, check 4ARTechnology ICO and ARTCOIN ICO?
I'm not sure, but this ICOs looks very similar and I don't know why someone did two ICOs.

4ART don't have ann thread - website: https://www.4art-technologies.com/

Artcoin ann thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5094737.0
Artcoin website: https://artcoin.ai/

Bounty program is managed by this same maneger with -8 red trust.
4ART - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5069088.0
Artcoin - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5095606.0

Is it true ICO or fake?

Thread temporarily moved on Scam Accusation,

Can someone help from investigator to recheck all Live marked ICO ? Due to busy I am unable to update. If anyone have free time check the current conditions of Live  marked ICO. They are still live or they already exit ? If they are not on good exchange and not listed CMC then mark it exit. If still live then mark it live. Post below your report then I will update OP.

It looks like Nettekcoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5024066.msg45354532#msg45354532) is still Live based on their announcement in their website that they are still launching their ICO.

It seems like they have listened to your scam accusation as they also updated some of their team's profile with some pictures while they have remove other members part of the team (maybe they didn't have much time to create fake identities).

You should take note that the Harrison Lambert before in their team as CEO became Josh H. Lambert now.

They have also changed parts of their whitepaper that you pointed out as plagiarized and changed it. It seems like they have focused on changing things which was brought up from their scam accusation in order to avoid much damage for their scam.

Before

After

Even though they have paraphrased the original text it is still counted as a plagiarized text, they have just changed some words and sentence structure but the plagiarized content is still there.
Posted this on Nettekcoin's scam accusation thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5024066.msg45354532#msg45354532), it looks like they are still live in terms of having a ICO pre-sale but I don't see them active anymore in the forum. The last post (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5060924.msg49042332#msg49042332) made by the user name nttkcoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2366596) was made in January 4. Their Telegram group though is still very active with 7,300+ members while have 160+ online members consistently.

Glad that the ICO I'm promoting is not here, I make it a habit to check first here before I profit a particular coin, so I will not waste my time and effort, everybody should, so they will know firsthand who are scam projects.

Did you checking UPROSE ICO? I think their project is scam. That website design look like a BitcoinBing. Their token sale i think is fake. Hardcap $60 Mn, but 75% Tokens sold in 5 days ?

Suprised Hubrisone is  doing great in their crowdfunding and they are planning to list their token n big exchange, but I trust your list I did not take part of their bounty campaign, even if my friend told me that they are distributing their token to your wallet weekly, but it's only a matter of time before they are really exposed.

Actually I have mentioned it on my thread.

I have exposed ICO once I found something wrong on thier projects that I think harmful for investors. It doesn't mean they are 100% scammer. But I can see most of them has became scammer eventually. If you believe they will not scam you than I have no comments.

I post about Hubrisone what I found wrong. It doesn't mean they would turn into scam. You must do your own diligence. Hubrisone didn't paid their previous bounty hunters and that's why they got tag as well. Your time and your money you can spend anywhere. I will try always bring up what is the true.

Its safe mate, It's one the light clients that members of the litecoin community use for transactions. It's forked from Electrum. Make sure you download it from the right source and also verify the signatures to avoid getting your coins stolen like this member who downloaded a fake wallet from a fake website and got his 2399 LTC stolen - https://github.com/pooler/electrum-ltc/issues/176 (read through the thread to understand how his money was stolen)

Official github repository of Electrum-ltc - https://github.com/pooler/electrum-ltc

I just realized that you have given a warning to Hubrisone, I think the project is successful CMIIW.. but I was annoyed with Hubris they sent zero coins to hunters who had a zero stake in the spreadsheet.

btw, I will make this thread as a reference, this is very good, Thank you in advance.

It just depends on how skilled you are to entice people to invest in the project, most people do not make as little as a dime in their project as they didn't do their homework properly
That's the sad truth.  But even if you do that homework, there's still a chance that a project could end up scamming you because the best scammers hide all the details of their scam from the homework-doers.  And look at all the bounty hunters that ended up getting a big, fat KYC requirement slapped on their faces right at the end.  Did any of them see that coming?  Probably not.

And nice job, OP.  I've seen you expose quite a few of these atrocities.  Question:  over what time frame were all these scams committed?  Is this in the past year, two years?  Anyone know how many scams this represents as a percentage of all ICOs?  I also have a feeling that over 90% of ICOs are scams, but I've never seen hard data as far as that's concerned.  Has anyone ever crunched the numbers?

Thanks for your reply and questions. To be honest it was just my suspicion that more than 80% ICO's are scam. But after your question I google it and found a result from cointelegraph. After read the article I realised that my suspicion was right. You may read the article if you have enough free time, here is it:  New Study Says 80 Percent of ICOs Conducted in 2017 Were Scams (https://www.google.com/amp/s/cointelegraph.com/news/new-study-says-80-percent-of-icos-conducted-in-2017-were-scams/amp)

Also there is an article on bitcoin dot com you may read, New Study: 80% of ICOs are Scams, Only 8% Reach an Exchange   (https://news.bitcoin.com/80-of-icos-are-scams-only-8-reach-an-exchange/)

I will try to rearrange my thread once I have free time. There is some more new scam exposed by me which is not listed on OP, due to quite busy on real life and online as well.
