Title: Token names (based on platform)
Post by: timotron on October 20, 2018, 07:13:37 AM

We are getting a lot of platforms to create custom tokens,
How to differentiate them all?
Like this!

Eth - Token
Waves - Woken
Eos - Eoken
Neo - Noken

what do you guys think? any more ideas?

I want to highlight for waves, until now there has been no progress that leads to growth to be able to compete on the top 10 altcoins. I doubt waves will be able to count on the altcoin that you mentioned

I don't think it's necessary. I'd still choose to call it all as tokens. The term token is massively adapted and I don't see the necessity to change it. Sorry, but it's kinda joke to me.

You should be more specific about the idea you wish to share with us. There is also a question of security regarding the platforms to create custom token. And there should always be ways to differentiate them regardless of their nature.

An interesting idea to cconsider as it will help with identifying tokens easier. But most people are already used to identifying them the way they are. Anyways if large number of people get intersted in your idea, it might just happen.

What makes you thinking to take them all seriously? they have no any differentiate and then just pick the only one that created smartcontract and that's ethereum. You should not mention another platform because they are all jokes platform. what they can is only copy pasting other platform.

Well I like your idea. Thanks for sharing. This is how we can differentiate the tokens and it'll be easier to identify the tokens.

haha, funny one!

I think totally the opposite, Waves is doing very good! - I created my own Woken a few weeks ago! super easy and cheap.

Cool, It makes me Smile too!

Well, I take them seriously, I respect them and I don't think they are all joke platform.
ETH is cool, nice idea, But we go nowhere till Txs gets upgraded.
Others are faster and cheaper...

in any case, we will see in the coming years.

Well I like your idea. Thanks for sharing. This is how we can differentiate the tokens and it'll be easier to identify the tokens.

Thank you!

this is a very good thing, and I agree with the best idea you have, this is a fun thing but on the other hand, it becomes quite difficult to develop it

Well, kinda childish, but not bad. This way, keeping track of different tokens in different coins will be easier and also the confusion might reduce a lot.

They don't need strange names like this when they can be distinguished any, for example any token on ethereum's network is an ERC20 token. The others also have names or you could even just call them the same thing it doesn't matter.

Thank you! I enjoy it too.
I will use it, everyone is free to do whatever.

They don't need strange names, but you can use them if you like ^^

Creating token names based on platform is a good idea as it'll help people identify them easier but, it will be worth considering if more people are interested in the idea as people have gotten accoustomed to this type of identification. But, who knows? maybe people will like the idea of identifying tokens in this way.

We will see, I would enjoy it very much to ear Andreas A. talk about this  :D
