Title: Cookie error on Brave Browser login
Post by: mk4 on October 20, 2018, 10:58:06 AM
Anyone using Brave browser? (the newest version: Version 0.55.18 Chromium: 70.0.3538.67 (Official Build) (64-bit))

Code:
Cookie error. Try again. (If you just registered: it worked, just login.)

Looks like I'm getting an error that should be more common for registering or something, which I'm not. I'm trying to login using this account. Same results even with all shields down.

No proxy/vpn by the way. No problems on logins on other sites

You're trying to login on bitcointalk using the Brave browser?

I just downloaded Brave, and was able to login with it on bitcointalk just fine. (I was even using a VPN, but no extensions!) So, no, works fine here.
(All the default shield settings are up too!)

Code:
Brave is up to date
Version 0.55.18 Chromium: 70.0.3538.67 (Official Build) (64-bit)
My version.

Yeah. Damn what the heck is wrong with mine.

Thanks for taking the effort to test it out yourself though. Looks like the problem is only on my side.

EDIT: A quick clear of cookies did the trick lol. should've tried this from the start.
My conclusion: there probably was a problem when I imported my browser data from Firefox to Brave, hence the problem with the cookies. Probably an incompatibility or something. Problem is not on bitcointalk's side.
