Title: GPU miners are butt hurt
Post by: hiphoptrail on October 20, 2018, 12:05:06 PM
I am sick and tired of hearing you whining gpu miners about asics. i can tell you are not long in this industry.

where the hell were you when cpu's went to gpu's? no butt hurt talk then. this is because you got into this industry due to you
sitting in your parents basement playing video games with your gpu and found out it could be used for mining and making money.

asics are actually more decentralized than gpu's. not everyone is a cryptogeek and cry baby. one can purchase a ascis and secure the blockchain at their home with very little effort compared to gpu, mining.

cry me a river you late people to the blockchain butt hurt gpu selfish miners...

hip hop and away... :-*

Read up on the Sia community and their experience with asics before you post man. You obviously don't understand how un-fair and centralized asic mining can be.

GPU mining is inherently more fair and distributed, hence why there has been so much of an effort to develop cryptos that are asic resistant. Ever heard of Vertcoin?

Regardless of ones opinion of asics vs gpus vs cpus, in my opinion its all superior to POS. It's no secret why so many top platform coins are DPOS, its a better and more secure consensus mechanism.

Lastly, your post seems to be emotionally charged as the first words are "I am sick and tired", yet you say other people are crying? Sounds a bit hypocritical to me.

you mean their own asic miner? I suggest you read up before you reply man.

Also, try learning about green energy or is that over your head man? :-*

I mined when GPUs were still a thing on Bitcoin. It's true that everybody has some GPU, and back then I did have one barely playing on it, that I used to mine with. ASICs on the other hand were expensive, not easily available for purchase, have a tax on them and can be a pain in the ass to import, adding more cost.

One can see how it can be a hurdle to obtain them. They also have no resale value after a while.

So you troll everyone and then put your foot in your mouth?  ::) ::)

Satoshis paper was written so long ago you can't go off of to apply to current networks, it wasn't written as like a georgia guidestones type thing to govern the entire future of crypto.....like there wasnt a resolution to the block size debate written in the paper so how can you say that CPU mining is how things should be?

This guy is just trolling, I have seen him around talking the same noise just trying to troll people, sorry but I wouldn't give any credence to anything he says.

hip hop and go away  :D  :D

Anyone is free to mine with whatever equipment he/she can afford and no one should be made fun of. Some have more money and they buy ASICS devices, some don't and with the low price of the GPU-s now they can build a rig with just under 1000 dollars.

Everybody has his/her own view on the matter. I turned off my colleagues rigs because they asked me to do so , but I continue with my home miner and it is still going well with the GPU-s for me. As long as there is profit in the end of the day I am happy.

Where do you see the butthurt in here ?

I am mining BZEdge all summer and why would that be bad? Most of my friends turned off rigs and didn't mine, but now some of us are sitting on a nice stash of coins and we can trade. Profits are locked in separate wallets and now we are prepared for the new bull run...
