Elphyrecoin is a cryptonote cryptocurrency that aims to help all opensource developers with blockchain technology through a humble but concret way of being redeemed for their work.
Opensource world is an awesome place : everybody can participate and propose development enhancements, ideas, hacking, etc. Lots of well known softwares are coming from this opensource world (web servers, databases, websites, video and music softwares, picture softwares, social networks, etc.)
Opensource does not mean free (no money) but most of the opensource softwares (that are placed under an opensource license, like GPL for exemple) are free (of charge).
There are several ways to redeem opensource developers for their work (donation for exemple) but most of the time it's volonteer work where the only reward is the joy or the pride of having been able to contribute effectively to the development of a software or a project...
Sometimes it's also expensive for the developer that has to pay for the server or some others services.
It may be time to combine business with pleasure: what if the blockchain could allow opensource developers, as part of a parallel economic system, to exchange or buy services, tools, products, wouldn't it be great? This new cryptocurrency wants to focus on this idea.

Has the Windows wallet been compiled successfully yet?

I would like to wait to get the website, and Windows wallet to decide mining the coin or not.
There have been already dozens of coins with Cryptonight algorithm (and forks), so it's very important to see the potential of the coin to make a change.
If not, I don't see reasons to mine or invest into this one.

HOW TO RESTORE A WALLET FROM OFFLINE PAPER-WALLET ?

You need your Mnemonic seed. Copy it when creating your wallet.
You should copy all the "Private keys" too (spend key + view key)

Here are some infos about Elphyrecoin project.

Actually, we are 4 people to "develop" this project : i (citizenz7) personnaly work on blockchain, pool, website and linux binaries. Sosuke helps me to build Windows binaries as i don"t use Windows. Siryus is helping me for "communication" and binaries testing and Dinkeux runs the Discord, will organize the social media and "marketing"...

First part of the project has been done these last days (Roadmap : october / november) : website, pool(s), linux and Windows binaries...
Second part (roadmap : december) : we are working on a GUI wallet, exchange applies and to make the team "grow"

So, to summarize:

• TEAM : Team is growing up as you can see. It's a great news as we can dispatch work and we should go faster and better to follow ELPH Roadmap.
• GUI WALLET : We made some tests for the GUI Wallet and i can confirm it's working quite fine on Linux. We need to find a way to compile the Windows binaries...
• TRADE : we have started to look around for Exchanges. Obviously, we can't afford to apply to big places like Cryptopia..

i guess you talk about FCB...
Once connected, go to Wallet, on the very right hand of the line for ELPH, you'll find a CREATE button for PaymentID.
Click it and it will create a paymentID. You'll need it to send funds to FCB (wallet address as well).

Why did you choose v7 algorithm? v8 or fast would be way better for you I think. Your roadmap should be more detailed imo, people tend to look at there first.

Antivirus are finding miner engines... but it's normal as THIS IS "mining software".

New update was released a few hours ago.
This update should fix « once for all » the transaction size issue where one can not send more 100,000 ELPH at a time (TX stuck or not confirmed, TX too big in size, etc.).
A few config changes have been made and new version should allow everyone to send 1,000,000 ELPH - at least - with appropriate fee.

I recommand the following ratio to calculate fee : ELPH-amount * 0.001 / 100

Examples :
100,000 --> fee = 1 ELPH
500,000 --> fee = 5 ELPH
1,000,000 --> fee = 10 ELPH
