Decided to make a small review of the mobile wallet for iOS and Android - Trust Wallet, because I hear more and more recently that MEW (MyEtherWallet) is not convenient and not reliable, especially for beginners. That is why I decided to tell you about a good alternative for storing and exchanging Ethereum, Ethereum Classic and tokens ERC20, ERC223, ERC721.

At the end of July 2018 Trust Wallet began cooperation with the cryptocurrency exchange Binance. That's where I found out about him.

You can download it on the official website trustwalletapp.com or in the AppStore and Google Play.

Next, download and install. Looking ahead, briefly about the benefits of the wallet:

1. The wallet is very convenient and understandable. Even grandma will deal with him;
2. Encryption keys are stored on the device and are not transmitted to the server. That is, they cannot be intercepted. You can lose tokens only if you have lost your phone and have not set the access code to your wallet. If you have set the passcode and saved the passphrase, you will be able to recover the wallet;
3. Anonymous;
4. Supported format ERC20, ERC223, ERC721;
5. There is a current token rate in the selected currency;
6. The web3 browser allows you to work directly from your wallet with various decentralized applications (DApps). 

After installation, you can create a new wallet or import an existing one. You can import using a passphrase, a JSON Keystore, and a private key.

After creating or importing a wallet, you go to the main page of the application. There's only Ethereum. To add tokens, click the plus button in the upper right corner and select tokens.

Choose "Enable" or "disable" the tokens you need. If there are no tokens that you need, go to search.

Start typing the Ticker symbol (3-4 characters, such as ETH). Choose the ones you need. If you have not found the necessary token, then add it by clicking "add" next to the search button.

Enter the required data and add the token. If you do not know where to get the token data, go to the website etherscan.io. Enter the name of the token, there is all the necessary information.

After returning to the main page of the application, you can receive or send Ethereum.

In the upper right corner, you can see the current rate of Ethereum or token.

On the main page, select the desired token, choose to receive or send.

In the DApps tab, using the web3 browser, you can go to the website of any decentralized application from the proposed and can use the wallet.

And the last tab is settings. Currency selection, inclusion of the access code, links to social networks and messengers of the project.

Given the partnership with Binance and other worthy blockchain projects, as well as the convenience of the wallet, its reliability and anonymity, I would recommend it as an alternative to MEW and other Ethereum wallets.

I am using iamtoken and metamask alternative for mew.but i try to download this Trusted Wallet and see for reviews its look good also it maybe have the same feature of iamtoken.maybe someday i will try to use this wallet also.

It's interesting I will take a look at this. I left MEW since months when I discovered NOKU wallet because it automatically recnognise every token I have.

The wallet is really good. I installed. However, it reveals its potential when you own a large number of different tokens. The wallet is very useful when tokens and projects created on the basis of Ethereum interact with each other. But now that the market is in decline and tokens are being sold, the wallet is only useful for storing Ethereum.

By the way, how will we trust this? I did never hear about this wallet. Who will guarantee that it will not just scam our money? If someone has used, please share your experience so that we also can use. I am interested to use a mobile version as using MEW in mobile is just boring.

Who then trust if not Binance?))

Yes, TrusWallet is easy to use, we do not need to create a new wallet, but it is enough to import the Private Key that we have made from MyEtherWallet. Maybe for me the weakness is not available for the PC version.

I personally use the MyCrypto wallet. I like it very much as there is a desktop version and I don’t need to open a browser and are afraid that I may not log into the wrong site and may lose my investment. I advise everyone to this wallet, it is convenient and safe.

I have been using TRUST wallet for about a month now and it is exactly what you think about it. It is better than MEW and convenient to use, specially for beginners who are looking for a safe wallet to use. The support is also amazing as they will act on your problems if you got one related to their wallet.

I am using this wallet currently because i am looking for a mobile ether wallet and it exceeded my expectations of a mobile wallet. It recognizes all my ERC-20 tokens i have stored in MEW. 

I think I will try to use Trust Wallet too. I saw a lot of good opinions from people about this wallet. But is it really trust wallet? Is it has open source code?

Nice to see this :). I'm still waiting to see an ERC-20 token wallet that I can use on my smartphone :). It's really inconvinient when using MEW cause I have to bring my laptop by my side all the time if I wanna use it, although I still can use it with my smartphone but there is no mobile app so I think it'll be much easier with Trust Wallet.

I haven't yet used this wallet eversince, but I'd love to try this Trust Wallet for those low valued coins I had. For now this was just a temporary storage for shit coins I hold. Still Mew is trusted for sure, because I've been storing my precious coins for a year and now still it gained higher recovery of the price.

I heard of the new Trust wallet that is now downloadable in playstore. It has many reviews basically, more on positive reviews. If you guys are seeking to find a suitable wallet that supports ERC 20 tokens, you can also rely on this trust wallet. It is better to try out different wallets in the internet for much more secure transactions. Just avoid those that have a low reputation.

It was created by the largest exchange site time in this world right now and i would not get any surprise to see so many good reviews about that, but just curious about can i store the token or coin that not even listed on the binance exchange site? Or this just supports the tokens that have already traded in the binance exchange site.

Trust wallet is quite safe and effective for ETH and token! Has been developed for a long time and is now part of the big Exchange. Very good

I'm looking for alternative of myetherwallet from almost 1 year ago. I'm concerned about trust wallet when binance promoted it https://trustwalletapp.com/ but now it test mode condition or successfully working? ERC-20 and ERC-223 coins supported.

If I understand correctly, the wallet does not belong to Binance. They collaborate with Binance.

I still not know about this wallet. I have used Iamtoken and metamask extension as of now and got no problems with it. I still want to try this app. Because nowadays it is hard to find good and secured ethereum wallet.

I used  MetaMask and MEW too, then Trust noticed by chance, tried it and I liked it.

I also know TRUST wallet when I see Binance's notice. They bought TRUST wallet, and I rated it as a most useful wallet on smartphones. I've been using TRUST for over 2 months and everything is so smooth. The interface is very user friendly and especially I make and check the transaction very quickly

The first time I heard about this wallet , but since he recommends that one of the largest exchanges, probably will install it on your smartphone . But on my laptop I will continue to use MEW as for a long time this wallet was left in my head only good experiences.

I am not sure that an android app can be an alternative to MEW,even if that app supports all the tokens just like Mew do.Because it is just a third party app which may or may not give privaate keys and we are not sure that we are the only person having that private keys is provided.

I have no idea about trust wallet, or maybe because I don't access my binance account after the huge crash so I will never tempt to sell my holdings there . You really deserve a merit on this, unfortunately I don't have the ability to do that.  I am 100% sure will explore in this wallet , its better to have a lot of option.

I think it's the same with IMTOKEN but let me give it a try since it's also cater some other non-erc right? Anonymity is not that full if you are in erc since you can always check the amount in some scanning platforms but yes when you say for identity wise.

Looks good especially i think with binance partnership it will become huge as binance is already the biggest exchange and it is really growing everyday, trust wallet will definitely attract thousands of users just because of binance, i will also try to download its app soon.

Based on your reviews, it seems to be the most feature-packed wallet for interacting with decentralized applications and tokens. Since it's developed by Binance, I'm sure that this alternative to MyEtherWallet would prove to become extremely popular over time.

Personally, I've been using Cipher Browser as an alternative to MEW. It's functional and allows me to interact with tokens and decentralized applications much in the same way Trust wallet does. But, this new wallet seems like a nice alternative to MEW too, so it wouldn't hurt adding another wallet to my arsenal. The key here to any wallet's success would be user-friendliness and responsiveness. While I haven't been able to compare different wallets, by the looks of it, Trust wallet seems to be the best one suited for said purposes.

Therefore, in my list, Cipher Browser and Trust Wallet are the best alternative to MEW today. It's about time to move on from MEW to another alternative, since it's been compromised many times by hackers. Which is why, if you choose an alternative such as Trust Wallet, you'd have to make sure it's as safe as possible to help protect your tokens and Ethereum funds. ;)

If I understand correctly, Binance is not a wallet developer, but they work very closely with him, even calling him an official mobile wallet.

Why is there a need for an alternative to MEW? If you use your wallet properly then it is as safe as a web wallet can get. Using new and unproven wallets is a good way of opening yourself up to more risk. I'll be sticking with MEW for now.

I have the opportunity of using this wallet and as of now i got no problem with it. The good thing with Trust wallet is that they have an APP for android and i can send tokens or eth even if i am not at home.

That is interesting! I might try to use it in the future. But for now, I still use MEW in all my transactions in ethereum and other coins and tokens that is a erc20 token. And so far, I have no problems with it. As long as your private key and pass is save. There is nothing to worry about.

It may be uncomfortable at first but most people have a friend to show them around or they can watch one of a number of videos or read one of a number of guides. For how little people will actually be using their wallet on a day to day basis it's better to prioritize security than comfort.

Thank you for creating that kind of review that is very useful and i love trust wallet and i am using that now. I trust that trust wallet. I love their app. That is fast and easy. I used before mycrypto and myetherwallet but i think after that trust app i will not use these old ethereum wallets. I hope they will continue their good work.

I have known Trust wallet since it only supports 3 altcoin. But now look at it, a great development, there are over 9 altcoin supported in the trust wallet and it will continue to increase. This is definitely the best wallet at the moment on the phone

yes, I also never use another wallet if for the ethereum platform. for the trust wallet I just heard it. for the trust of the wallet I also didn't know it. but there are some wallets like neo and eos that are currently popular.

I disagree. I've been using MEW for a few years and I never had issues with it. Yes, it can be a hassle sending a coin because the transactions are not going through but MEW is not to blame on that one. It should be the blockchain technology. Although it is a good thing that there are alternatives on MEW, it will still be the same if hackers were able to access your private key.

It is a secure application, but it's not as secure as a Ledger. This is an application for those who do not want to spend a lot of money on a purse like Ledger. But I still advise people to use Ledger Nano S because I have been using it for 3 years and no hackers ever can penetrate and rob my money.

No no! I do not contrast TRUST WALLET against the MEW. For beginners, TRUST is very convenient, and in terms of protection and functionality, it is not inferior to MEW.

Thanks for sharing this, I think it'll be useful for those that are willing to have alternative to mew but I will do my own review to ascertain if it's suitable or not but I have to state that using hardware wallet is the most suitable and best alternative to all forms and type of wallet

yes i gave it a look and it has various exchange options, list of games on eth, browesr that connects directly with the Dapps, is really a valid alternative to mew and is also sponsored by binance,but for now my favorite wallet remains coinomi

I have used TRUST WALLET for a long time, it is good. TRUST WALLET is safe to use, it is recommended and backed by Binance. It is more convenience to use on smartphone than MEW because it has a mobile phone version. Friendly interface for newbie.

TRUST is not an alternative, BUT a MEW add-on. So, perhaps, will sound correct.

I do not trust all these wallets because I believe that they are completely unreliable

I have recently downloaded it, and it looks fast and easy to use. Since it was aquired by Binance, it will has increasing popularity. From other side, it offers several new interesting blockchains in one place, like Tron and Icon, and  they tend to support good projects, last one was TomoChain, and many will follow.

TRUST wallet coming on board could minimize the cumbersome way of MEW mostly by newbies which requires a lot of effort in navigating its interface which at times is not user friendly for newbies which lead to its vulnerable to hackers as result of carelessness. However how secure is trust wallet? Will its stood test of time? of course time will tell overall its a welcome development into cryptocurrencies system.

Metamask seems a bad wallet to me but i just try to believe that mycrypto is the best wallet right now and it's available in the various platform. Mycrypot was actively developing the wallet and put the more security to make sure if the wallet can't be hacked or it has a vulnerability. It's created by the former team of MEW.
