Jan-Willem Burgers, the technology lead at Capgemini’s Distributed Ledger Practice, came to Bitcoin’s rescue after Roubini’s testimony with an op-ed piece, in which he refuted several arguments posited by Roubini in his testimony. It's enough to keep listening to him for 2 minutes to know how stubborn he is. He's bringing up facts he read about 2 or 3 years ago and doesn't care that some things have changed. He made up his mind about Bitcoin long ago and even if it ever becomes a widely accepted payment system, much like Visa is now, he'll still call it a speculative bubble. People like that should be left alone to boil in their hate. Touching shit won't change it, it will only make you dirty. You'd think a truly committed hater would be canny enough to acknowledge some useful qualities so their underlying message will be more closely listened to, but so few can manage that.
