Title: Do you buy new coins?
Post by: congresowoman on October 25, 2018, 06:37:46 AM
Pardon me, I'm just a newbie when it comes to all this trading stuff. I just got curious on the field of trading and have checked out in CMC recently launched coins, top gainers and losers. My question is, do you usually buy new coins then set your target sell? Or do you just buy from top losers then keep an eye on it?
Thanks for all the responses...

I buy new coin however, I do make my good research on the token before I buy or invest in any trade. Also, in trade now people must be very careful about any thing they we buy in other not to lose money.

Its not that easy to answer this question because when I make investment in the crypto then I dont really checkout the gainer and looser but the investor base and its biz in the market. The crypto currencies can get spiked at zero time also if they have huge investors base. So how do you know that they are having great support of community ? Well you will hear about that coin all the time and over the forum 100's of threads will be created for them which means that they are in talks and have great marketing support. These type of coins are usually more prone to spikes than the others.

It depends  on coins. Every single one should be thoroughly analysed. And only then, the decision is taken.

I don't suggest you to buy the new launched crypto currencies when you are just new to the trading because when there is not enough data to analyse how the coin will be effect the market which leads to great risk and most of the time you may lose your investment. So better trade with the coins which is top in the list of coinmarketcap.

Indeed. Things can go messy if you start investing into the fresh coins. They might be listed on some exchangers but over the time it could happen that they turn out to be scammers or many of them just die off due to zero trading volume. Also most of the coins which are new these days are just here to scam us so it would be better to take this advice and think twice before making any progress. I guess for newbie focusing on the top 100 or even at safer side trading with top 50-60 coins is always advisable. At least these coins will not make you suffer badly if they go in bear trend as they have potential to recover themselves.

Buy new coin or coin that in red line is very risk, I only buy coin that I know have good development or listed in 1-100 CMC, my advice if you buy new coin you should make a research first.

I still do not know when the market will stabilize again. So now I do not dare to risk buying a new penny. I do not want to lose more money. Although I know if boldly can succeed and get rich if the price of the coins rise. But I was too nervous to wait.

All investors are thinking together with you. This market is in a very difficult period and any investment will be very risky when investing. I think we will have to wait a long time and hope the market can enter the uptrend period as this is going to be the time when people can directly earn the most profits and the whale will be pioneer in this

I can't buy the new Altcoins at this time because the market is very bad and has not recovered. I can only buy the coins on the coinmarketcap floor for the safest.I will wait for time and the crypto market go up again.

I bought a new coin but it was a big dump. because a great opportunity can come from it. the average new coin will dump 50% to 200% dump. and it's an opportunity to make a profit quickly. on other coins I buy when prices sell very much and make a red candle 3 or 4 jumps.

Do not make a mistake of trying to use coinmarketcap to look for top losers to end up just picking any coin, in that case you may just end up with a shit coin. There is one thing with consistency when it comes to trading, in terms of what you trade as well as the strategy you make use of.

Personally, I only have 40 potential coins on my list as a long term trader and even if I will have to add more in the long run, I would never hold more than I can handle and the most I will ever go with would be 50 to 60.

Now, it is easy for me being a long term trader, I do not have to keep monitoring the markets every day, I have my alert on ground for stop loss, I look at price actions on candles as well as momentum to get into any of them if I see it looks good, and I have been making a lot. It is just to have a good strategy and just picking any coin you like.

Before you deal with this, its better to know those coins first new coins have potential to deliver good profits but also have a big risk behind, unlike top coins where the graph can guide you if the project is on its dip or its rising so high, CMC can be a source of information but likewise it can also be manipulated by a artificial pumped coming from the whales, you should study first the assets that you are aiming to invest and know how things will
progress and if the said project is good for long or short term process.

Title: Re: Do you buy new coins?
Post by: dothebeats on October 25, 2018, 01:52:31 PM
I usually don't, but when a project really catches my attention, I'm sure to follow it closely up until the point that it goes live in the markets and see whether there is substantial volume for it then I buy and trade for a little while. With all the new tokens and coins popping up here and there, it's hard to find a gem that has a solid dev team and community nowadays, and at best, your funds would only be diversified in a few coins that performs well. If you can't handle multiple coins at once, it's best to just focus on one coin and just learn the market movements and the rest is profit.

I don't usually buy new coins, perhaps it depends on its value. My basis on buying coins is I look always for the cheap price it has but the volume was high. If that's the case I won't hesitate to buy that coins, but new coins just like what you've been asking is hard to do it, because its too risky.

What I'm doing is I see the keep on eye on the top 5-10 losers in the exchange then I'm keeping an eye on them. I use indicators so that I know when will I buy or when I will sell. Although this requires risk because the coins might go lower than your buying price.

if I buy new coins I usually buy those that have entered the coinmarketcap exchange and determine the price target. I don't sell coins when the target price has not been reached, so I think this is something that might be used as a benchmark to get profit from new coins

There is nothing wrong with new coins. What is not advisable is buying new coins without even doing proper research. Successful cryptocurrency coins such as bitcoin and ethereum started very low,  but look at these coins now.  So early holders of bitcoin are really rich now. Thus, choose the right new coins.

I buy coin that are newly listed!  Every new coin will not make it to the cryptocurrency market but the newly listed coin will get lots of I'll interest in the first twenty four hours.  During these hours you can make good profit!

I buy new coins but not always. I preffer choose top 1000 coins to buy and hold for some time and after sell in profit. Sometimes maybe i choose wrong and i can't get profit because new coins can't grow more over time. But for this who buy new coins i think is not good to buy if they think the price for the coin is to high at start and wait some days to see if there are enough investors who want to buy that coin.

Honestly it's not wrong to test waters especially at new coins but people must understand the risks. As you mentioned, those coins are newly listed in Coinmarketcap meaning they reached a criteria why they are being listed there. A good sign but it doesn't mean people will have an easy way of profiting from that coins.

Old coins or new, still it's a "coin". Same principle is applied. You will make a self analyzation on it, check their daily volumes, check their trends, check everything etc. like the usual way of choosing a coins. So my answer here is not all the time I directly wait for new coins. It depends on the situation and if that new coins will passed my own criteria of choosing a coin.

If it is profitable and is not yet being abuse like pumping and dumping but if it is being abused already then i have to sell them all and find again another coins. Some coins are good for long term investments and some are for short term only, so it is better to do your own research for a coins that you like to trade so that you won't have any problem of either holding it for short term or long term.

Risking and feeling will not be safe if you buy new coins at this time. By all means wait for Bitcoin to return, otherwise all new ICOs and coins will fail. Important with this point.

It is true that it all depends on the type of coin itself, their old or new coins can all be good choices when they have good growth potential in the future and in accordance with the results of our own research.

Care to study either technicals or fundamental analysis. You should have solid conviction and not just those lazy observation of the price dip and gain. new or old they have their own support for the price they show.

PS. For new coins though with bounties, take it into consideration as some really sell in any price they want so it matters sometimes but if the volume is quite decent it doesn't affect that much.

It doesn't matter about new or old coins, Its all about potential. If a new coin has potential then I always feel good to trade with that! As you are new in trading then you have a fear about loss, right? Then don't follow top gainers or losers statistics. You need to follow the trading section, analyze the market price chart, keep an eye on the latest update about the crypto market and your favorite coins, don't go for every coin, after researching well, choose a few stable coins to trade. Yes, you can buy new coins for trading, as we do!
A good potential coins will tend to last even if you hold it for a long term that's why choosing the best coins is by looking their potentiality. Many coins who have been listed in exchanges but most of them are shitcoins that has good only for pump and dump. Too many investors are being victim by these pump and dump team specially if you were in an investor who just carelessly bought there token without even doing some research about their team.

It's okay to be newbie in trading, but we need to have knowledge on some aspects that everyone should know better of an ico project. Being part of a community of an ico like being a bounty hunter, you actually have signs that this coin will prosper in future trading. How much more if it has a strong impact on the products promoted by the cryptocurrency itself.

I never buy from top losers then keep an eye on it. I buy the ones I am interested with (to speculate with or simply to use). And I usually prefer to buy and forget. I am currently buying BTX Bitcore to #HODL some months for a nice profit and Horizen.
You can mine BTX is you prefer this way, Bitcore block reward is 3.125 BTX.

Yes I buy new coins, coins that just made it from ICO and selling below the ICO price is the ones that has a good fortune and if the project is a sustainable one, the coins can be a profitable after the project finishes all its development stage.

I always enter and buy the potential altcoin from top lossers in CMC or on the trading platform i am using and it was very effective to make a profit. It breaks easily at its lowest point the a secured profit is coming 10% and above. Just dont be greedy because it will also gets dump again after a day or two so you better watch the trading volume and their request to make up your mind what price to exit.

buying new coins might be profitable. but, we must look at the developments that occur on the coin, because even though the coin has a pretty good price, but it is not developed, it can make a loss in the future.

I dont buy new coin because new coin usually has low volume and low market cap so this coin has chance to use pump and dump trading,  now all old coin that has bigger cap already going down more than 80% so its better to buy them because all of them has potential to going up to highest price again.

I buy new coin however, I do make my good research on the token before I buy or invest in any trade. Also, in trade now people must be very careful about any thing they we buy in other not to lose money.
Research is always the thing as you do not want to get caught up on a shit coin and then see yourself bag holding for the rest of your life. Trading requires you to have a strategy and a thought out one as well, which includes which market to be trading, how to be trading those markets and accessing your level of skill each and every time so as to fine tune your strategy.

A lot of people today when they see others making shit load of money from trading, they just assume they can pretty much just hit the market and start trading immediately, but it is never like that. Coins you buy should be based on coins you trust, and normally as a trader, you should have been able to build up your own portfolio of the coins you analyze every time.

it's a good opportunity to be used as one of the purchasing options we can still get coins at low prices and the potential for rising coins will be very high. it becomes an advantage, especially if it's a new coin I think the price will be very low and when the pump will be very high.

Both  strategies you mentioned in your post are good one. Investors use any of them that they are confidence with. But you can still do some research on some new coins by joining some investment telegram group. Most of these groups discussions let out vital information concerning coins that are new to the market. So you can pick some and add to what you know to make some vital business decision whether to invest or not to. Good luck to all investors.

This kind of telegram group is very helpful and you can have more profit on this one. I rarely invest in new coins, because I have to look for more good coins which can really give profit in the long run, i also wait for the dump in the exchange because this is very common now.

The investors of new coins has decreased because of many scams project, hopefully they will come back in cryptomarket and buy more new good coins.

I rarely want to buy new coins, but many investors buy new coins in the market, or they buy them at the time of the sale of the ICO, but I suggest you do research before you buy a new ICO coin, because for me very risky, for example, we will choose wrongly, and I personally prefer to buy coins that have long been in the market, which has lowered the price.

It is very risky if we buy new coins from the new projects since there are numerous scam projects. It will be better to see the development of a project for at least a year and make the decision based on our own reserches.

I prefer bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin still now because all the avobe coins are much potential and strong, well known also.

Yes, I buy new coins but with caution, I study their business proposal, their business concept, and their roadmap and plan, I am meticulous in terms of the Announcement design and how they handle the promotion or advertisement of their project. Sometimes i buy coins or tokens that are top losers when i look up on their history and found out that those coins are having a good trading history in terms of trading volume and stability.

If I rethink of my judgement to choose, I usually choose not based on what you mentioned in your statement. I chose because it was good. And the good criteria can come from various things. It can be from its potential, its charts, popular opinions etc. Putting options on the 'top loser' token carries an excessive risk, so personally, I really don't recommend it.

I buy and earn new coins, like most of us here. I am long term trader, only like that is possible to make some profit with not so big risking. I cant guess which number of new coins will succeed in future, reach some high price and strong community, some will succeed some will fail, I think we need to diversify and have more coins in possession, just one is to big risk. So people start to buy cheap coins after your research, now its the moment to buy a lot of coins with couple dollars, in future, just one coin will be a lot of dollars.

It's more on the earning for me through bounties. I don't really feel confident about new coins especially nowadays and the risk is too much for me to spend out of my own pocket. Though back in the days it was quite worth the risk. Now it sems there are more scam than legitimate ones.

Basically, I don't often buy a new coin first I research the market value of the coin after that will decide to buy a new coin if it is profitable. Sometimes there is some risk behind the new coin so before collecting new coin obviously, need to evaluate the market price of the new coin.

There's nothing wrong if you buy new coins. Even if the coins are new in the market you can do it any time you like, as long as you see the volume is high even the price on the contrary is in cheap value why not. Buying new coins also is depend on your discretion, besides you can see how traders whether buyer or seller how active they are in each every altcoins while you are in the platform market.

For buying new coin it can't be only see from the CMC, you need to check the whitepaper the developer and the potential from different source of information, so we can have a more accurate data to speculate the new coin, and its not right to see the top loser coin and then buy it and wait for the price to go up, because sometime the price won't go up anymore, CMC itself cant be rely to make the decision, you need to see the chart to determine whether the price could go up or not

I'm not buying at this moment. Why? Because altcoins are very volatile and I don't have much time to spend to watch and track the price anyways and to be brutally honest, I don't trust new coins coming out in the market. If they're not a scam coins, they're just useless or totally garbage. I just accumulate bitcoins and used it if possible.

In my own way of observing coin today in crypto i believe that we are now really in a very big opportunity of buying coins. Because almost all of the coin in crypto market are now really dropping and it's price is really low. So I think there was really a great advantage if we are going to get or maybe buy some more token today for good.

A good point here. Diversification. It is always needed when we are trading different coins and making things work out for ourselves. The crypto currencies can not be trusted in single coin but multiple only. I mean there is possibility that we will see all the coins rising upwards one day but we can not just rely on the virtual thinking. We need to have consistent income also, so for that purpose its very important to make changes to our portfolio. In the long run this change is very important and can make our success path for sure. So yes keep buying new coins always.

This kind of activities should treat with extra careful because it is prone to sudden pump and dump. I  already experiencing with this kind of stuff and because I only trade with what I can afford to lose, I am not so affected about it. New coins still have a weak foundation in terms of its potential to grow and this is what I always keep in my mind.

Most people will not choose new coins and will tend to invest in more old altcoin. I think at this stage any investment will be very high risk and we have to consider carefully before investing in it. I personally believe that this is not the right time for new projects and should wait for the market to move uptrend.

Yup. Most people think together with you. This is a very difficult time to choose a good project and it will be very risky if you do not know exactly what the project is. I think investing in the old coin will make your investment more stable and will make a good profit if there is big news to this market.

Coins that are in loser side of trading should be put into a research first before buying it. Top coins are good to buy when their price dips because they are already proven to recover in due tjme. If the new coin have a potential for future growth then I would buy it only after I made a full research on it.

I do not just buy any coin or token I feel like because it is a top loser or some sort, I already have some pretty good list of coins that I trade based on their long term potentials both in growth and in real value, and I do not have to trade the whole market before having to trade. What I do is basically to stick with my strategy for every market, I look for good opportunities to get in based on price action, momentum and trend, and I trade accordingly.

If you want to be a trader, there is nothing you can do than to make sure you are well learned first, have been able to build up some strategy and you are confident with what you are doing as well as understanding the risk in the space and managing it well.

Indeed it is true we should know about the coin we are investing, if we will not have proper information so it will scam our money so try to know your investment well, the other thing is we should not chose any other coin as bitcoin we have it is best has more value and it is good reputation in market people are now buying and some countries are legalizing it too so better go for one and only bitcoin.

Welcome sir. You know everyone has own strategy for running his or her business so i have also. Several times i bought news coins as well as tokes and finally i got success. So before making invest in new coins or tokens at first you need to make own investment. If you see project is too good for making investment then you can do it. But my suggestion is please keep in mind that all business has negative reaction so if you are able to afford your losses then you should do it. But before buying new coins or tokens please make sure your own analysis about this coins as well as tokens.
Best of luck.

Hi, the question of buying coins is very important. There is of course a very large selection and every day there are more and more new coins. I prefer to keep some in old coins (Bitcoin, air, etc.). About half I send to new coins that are issued with the release of new ico projects. The trick here is to find good companies, preferably with an interesting product. This can be very profitable. All successful trading  :)

There is pretty high risk in trading the recently launched coins as the probability of them getting failed is pretty high, so it should be approached with caution. What I have done a few times is that I brought the top looser coins that were many times in a month so I speculated some group is pumping and dumping that coin and I brought that coin at low and gained profit. Once there was an incidence of a small coin getting listed on poloniex and then the price rallied and I made more than double return on my investment.

In this situation  of crypto market  that all top 10 coin in the bottomed so I prefer to buy it than new coin.  Because I don't know the potential new coin and that coin does not have historical price so difficult to determine support and  resistance.

I will only buy a new coin when I had heard news of a pump, then I but it. But to be used as a place to trade I don't get it work, the new altcoin usually still have a few users so that the price decreases and increases a little. New coins are available in the crypto world which helps increase the cloud of crypto coins but new crypto coins have the same start just like Bitcoin started in the beginning.

The value of these new coins is very small in the beginning and this attracts people to get it easily and people are buying these new coins because they know the better future of crypto world. This will always result in profit if one follow the rules and deal with any market conditions regardless of whatever coin may be.

What I'm doing is I see the keep on eye on the top 5-10 losers in the exchange then I'm keeping an eye on them. I use indicators so that I know when will I buy or when I will sell. Although this requires risk because the coins might go lower than your buying price.
Investment is something that never looses its value as long as you are investing in the right coins. This is something that makes people feels happy and more optimistic about the future for the profit looks very obvious. Besides, when you are agreed to forgo little for coins with great chances of growth in future, this is you might call risky but a profitable business that is the reason why all those who have the initiative taking abilities cash big.

It's always good to buy new coins, but before that one should understand better about the project behind the respective coin, exchanges that have listed the respective coin as well the trading volume. Upon this the growth in the future can be easily predicted. In recent days one such coin is the xet that grew in much shorter time period.

Some traders said as long as the coins has volume soon you will see it raising. I believe this is nice words but you must also see the project of it and the people behind it if they really are responsible with their coins.

What I'm doing is I see the keep on eye on the top 5-10 losers in the exchange then I'm keeping an eye on them. I use indicators so that I know when will I buy or when I will sell. Although this requires risk because the coins might go lower than your buying price.
Although it is always good to search for the new currencies and put some money there, because most of the time new currencies are trading in low price, but still my whole concentration on bitcoin I want to buy more and more bitcoin because I can see that the bear market is going to end  and a good time is just coming soon.

right, we must know team's capacity for a project to analyze the future of their coins. although this is very difficult to predict, but at least we can review, whether that project runs according to roadmap that was made

I don't. Some of those coins are been from ICO which investors really want to dump all of their investment from there and forget all about it. But also there are some new coins that quite successful.

I buy new coins when I get convinced that they have good value and potential. In fact, buying the coin when it is new is more profitable, because its price is expected to go up highly after it hits the big exchanges and when it becomes more developed and used.

I will choose when the ICO is calling or just floated on the floor. When the coins do not have much movement to make prices with extremely low volume. New or old coin is not as important as the potential and power of the community and their ecosystem. Those are the things I use to be able to choose a new valuable and high potential coin.!!

In a way I dont feel like I`m giving money from my own pocket. When I receive tokens from bounty I diversify, I sell some and with that I buy something else. When I think that some token can be a great thing I buy it from my bitcoin stash, its good to be involved from the beginning. Some people don`t have time for bounties, other don`t have bitcoin stash, some need to invest from their own pocket, its good to be involved how you will come to that its not so important. There are a lot of scams but its worth the risk if you find couple legit projects that have potentially great future.

It sounds good but it happens that almost new coins created today's are hardly falling down below from it's ICO price. Altcoins today are in cheap prices, you can buy them if you feel that is worth to buy for. But not to think that it would give you huge profit instantly.

It will be interesting to me to read the opinions))
Personally, I very rarely buy new coins. I buy those that I once earned in bounty and sold for a penny ... As a result, they certainly increased in price. And when there is a recession again, I spend a little ETH to buy.  There are my favorites that I believe in. And who have achieved high performance)
buying new coins might be profitable. but, we must look at the developments that occur on the coin, because even though the coin has a pretty good price, but it is not developed, it can make a loss in the future.
Agree with you. Follow the news and updates of the project, it is very important. It takes time, knowledge and faith in the project (and their coins). For example, one of the latest news - coin Oyster Pearl.  In the beginning it was possible to earn decent money! What to say if bounty hunters got thousands of dollars for bounty. The one who didn`t follow the development, but just waited, now he is crying into the pillow ... Because the project announced not very positive news and most likely, the coin will depreciate as soon as possible.

Yes, you are right. There are mostly news coins coming in the market. People see them as they are cheaper than others. They start thinking about buying them. As they didn’t check the nature and life of those coins, so very soon they come to know different vibes about coins. And ultimately their coins prove scam. They couldn’t have any idea how to recover their loss.

I don't buy new coins that recently release. Because its hard to trust new coins nowadays. Their value drops very fast. I just bought establish coins. Because i got good payouts everytime i buy them.
That is called curiosity. You should never do that until and unless you know about their project and the risk attached to the investment made in them. ICOs are normally risky stuff. However if you know about the history of a coin and knows the risk attached and the profitability in future, better go for investment if you view it ok. Rationality assumes that one must make proper evaluation of the asset before investing money in the asset.

I can buy new coins, yes and when I buy new coin I check project of new coins (team, what is project benefit ....) if new coin seems positive for to investment I buy it and I sell it when the coin will be 2x. This is my way for investment.
I have already invested in couple of coins that I though have been doing very well in the market lately. So you invest when you have the incentives to do so. And since this year the market had been down and you could earn coins which are down in terms of market value, it is a good time to do so.

At some point in future, when there will be boom in the crypto market, you would be more than well off with this little investment grown so big. So without any further due, go invest.

I think it is good to buy a new coin if you consider the coin is cheap and you think it's underrated. Then nice profit shouldn't be much longer.
Research job must be done well. I do buy new coins regularly and in most of the cases i'm in surplus 8)
Mostly we do a mistake while considering new coins in our files. We see the price, and definitely as it is new it is quite cheap. But believe me this wouldn’t be enough for you to make good earning from it. You have to crave everything out to get to know the inner and really details of what is in it for you. Mostly these news coins become scam after few months and people have to face the loss.

I agree with what you say, if with further research on this new coin, it will potentially even before entering the coinmarketcap, i will buy a new coin. Many investors suffer losses due to wrong choice of new coins, that's because of the lack of insight and research about what coins they buy.

I am not sure that it is time to buy new coins now. As i see more coins loose their value from day to day. I prefer old coins and bought just several new during last year.
Yup. Most people think together with you. This is a very difficult time to choose a good project and it will be very risky if you do not know exactly what the project is. I think investing in the old coin will make your investment more stable and will make a good profit if there is big news to this market.
Depends on how "new" they need to be. Do you mean anything that came out in the last year or do you mean like getting into some ICO? If you mean do I buy into ICO coins that is not on any exchange yet than I do not do that anymore. I stopped getting into ICO's because I do not invest into anything that has not been done yet, I need to see the coin and how it is run by the team before I get into the coin.

However if you mean do I get into a coin that is already on exchanges but recently got in and just a coin that is a year old and not that much further than I may depending on how well it is run. If the team improves the coin constantly and doing marketing really actively and have a good community that is supporting it than there is no reason for me to not get in (I still do not get in if there was a big increase recently).

Investing in new coins can be very profitable. but not all new coins are good. After doing some research, i only invest in some good coins, which i believe have got good potential in future.
Altcoin prices are still low, some of the altcoin prices still have prices below $1 or even $0.1, you can imagine if we spend $100 to buy altcoij in the current year at a price of $0.1 and in the next few years the altcoin price rises to $1 or $2 at that time one can get multiple profits. To ensure potential or not an altcoin I only do research on the top 100 altcoins. At least by just looking at the top 100 altcoins one can save time and then at the position of the top 100 altcoins, each new investor will always see it.

New coins with the right prospect are good for investment than the top loosers on coinmarketcap. Current coins have proven that 80% of their existence are scam and care must be taken to avoid the loose. Early adopter are always lucky to invest on new coins with good prospect. Please, before buy a new coin endevour to research into such coin.

If you are going to buy new coin then it is better to buy with a coin that has a potential already and don't by coins that is from top losers. Why do you like to buy coins with losing stakes? Investing in new currencies is a huge risk because the demand for investment in this market is decreasing rapidly, resulting in lower liquidity. I think people are really interested in new projects as the market enters the uptrend period as this is the time when people make the most profit.

If you research enough still you have the chance to be a victim! The reason is the bear market. What do you tell about bitcoin price decline? Every crypto coins price is decreasing for the same reason, "Bear Market". It's not about the research. A very few coins are doing well according to the market condition, otherwise, 90% coins are falling down!

I don't agree on the line that I was bolded above, you've said that it depends on your knowledge and courage in investing? Nah, that depends on your research and technical analysis when it comes choosing new coins to invest. Yes, that is very risky you don't know what will happen on that coins or the developer is was abandon on that without any progress, of course, that coins become into shitcoins which I make you probably lose. It really depends on a trader's choice but mostly old traders took a bit of benefit of a doubt in a new coin and invested it for some percentage of money. Most of the new coins will tend to be a pump and dump coins then later on they will be going on the shitlist of the top 1000 most shitcoins. Traders prefer a coins with a potential as a coins that the world would use everyday, though the volatility of it is quite unstable.

the risk is normal when we are here and there is no harm in trying, select new coins that we think are good and promising but our investment is a little because to test whether this coin is profitable. but I would rather invest in 10 top coins in a market cap coin because there we know everything.

With current market condition, i prefer to buy older but quality coins than the newly issued coins because are already proven to go up after a sharp drop in their prices. I'll buy only new coins when the crypto market become positive again because the price of the new coins have the tendency to go up. Many promising coins are now in low prices but it to make a research on them first before you start buying.

I usually buy different coins. But all of them are united by one thing, I see in them the opportunity to earn.
I buy new coins very rarely, because if the coin is new, then it doesn't have a history that can be analyzed in chart. And if I'm interested in some kind of new and promising coin, then I buy it by participating in ICO.

With current market condition, i prefer to buy older but quality coins than the newly issued coins because are already proven to go up after a sharp drop in their prices. I'll buy only new coins when the crypto market become positive again because the price of the new coins have the tendency to go up. Many promising coins are now in low prices but it to make a research on them first before you start buying.
maybe this cheap price make investors or trader want to buy it.although bearish trend still happen strongly.but if we already calculate the risk i think we should to do this.

This dip is a huge opportunity for every trader to buy some coins and hold. Its not every month you see or experience complete dip in coins values. If you are holding Fiat or bitcoin or ETH, this is the best time to buy low and hope to sell for higher profit when the market is good.

On the other hand occasionally I also look for the gainers and losers of the day to baste my trading decision accordingly. Just to add I do trades once in 3 months or so

Buying new coins is sometimes very risky but can be very profitable. On new coins sometimes will be made flash pump and that's where we can get a big profits. All depends on your knowledge and courage in investing.
the risk is normal when we are here and there is no harm in trying, select new coins that we think are good and promising but our investment is a little because to test whether this coin is profitable. but I would rather invest in 10 top coins in a market cap coin because there we know everything.

but we also have to look at the overall market condition, even if the market conditions are bearish even though the top 10 in the coinmarket list will also experience a dangerous price decline, of course there may be some coins that will rise in price, but that may only last a while, less more like a flash pump

New Coins/Token its really easy to catch the profit, most of ICO using a token and after they listing the price going more than 70-90% from ICO price the opportunity its you can make a short trade with fast profit. Because after this drop, sometimes they make a good rebounce.

If the new coin is very potential with a good developer with convincing research results and will be listed in a large market, it is worth buying it in my opinion
if I myself are better off buying coins that are old and many are trusted by investors and traders because the new coins are very risky. the problem is that there have been a lot of new coins eventually experiencing a scam

Top gainers and losers are references to determine our trading attitude, not a few for new coins that look good because they successfully enter the daily volume standard, but of course there are several other factors that need to be considered and the most important is how deep their communication is with ongoing developments . the increase in the new altcoin volume certainly doesn't just happen

I buy new cryptocurrencies, if only they have a good team and a friendly community, a product useful for society and there is already a functioning project

Usually, I do it as well. For instance, recently I managed to invest a lot in EIDOO and Robotina. However, now the market is absolutely unpredictable. I have temporary stopped doing it.

it is good to check at coinmarketcap whenever there is a new coin, but in my trading plan, I don't always buy new coins I am just focused on which coin is currently placed at Top Gainers or Top Volume. I just choose one or two coins from top gainers once I noticed it has a good traded volume within 24 hours.

Buying of a new coin is depending on the type of coin you are buying and what they have to offer (products) if a coin is listed and is likely to be a good coin definitely you can buy in and sell high and if you also get to do your own Research and you assume it should be a HODL coin for huge profits then you can as well buy and HODL. Is all depends on your research and what that coin have gat to offer. On this present state market is not healthy to buy in.

No! That is not my specialty. I never buy new token on exchange because I am weak when it comes in researching about its background specially, if I could not see its development during the token sale. I suspect every new coin to be dumped 3 days of its listing. So, I probably wait for several months to buy some of it.

I do buy some new coins but after hard fork I decides to sell all coins, wait until next year to start again. Red market is not good situation and there's bigger possibility to get lost. I use long term period strategy and because of that red market is not good sign to keep hold or buy back. Not easy for me but before too late I sell all coins even from the top coin list, such as bitcoin, eth and ltc. Good bye for all coins.

When new coins first appeared on the market, I never bought them immediately, before I did research, learned and understood how they performed and how they worked. As we have seen, new coins are generally very rare which can last a long time, even though the innovations they carry are somewhat better than their predecessor coins.

I do not want to buy, but I continue to hunt for new coins from sharing the existing ico campaign. by participating in the campaign, I will get Iico coins without having to buy, and I think that is my way to minimize the risks that occur to me. after I get the reward, I will save or sell it if I feel satisfied with the new coin price that I hold.

I sometimes often buy new coins to benefit from these coins, but keep in mind this is a new coin, you must know in advance about the coin is good or not for short / long term investment. to determine whether or not the coin is good sometimes I refer to the following:

1. how many coins are sold during the ICO (if he has one) if a lot means good if a little means bad
2. how big is the community
3. the activity of the co-developer / team like on YouTube or in the form of photos of photos on their social media

if the three things above are good then chances are that I will probably invest / buy the new coin

I wouldn’t suggest you buying new coins because it’s riskier. Moreover, there are lots of scam projects, and it's hard to find the one with the best potential. It would be better for you to start with the top cryptocurrencies which have proved their effectiveness and won’t disappear from exchanges. I prefer trading coins that are available on reliable exchanges such as CEX (https://cex.io/buy-bitcoins). The number of supported cryptocurrencies is not large but it's enough for beginners.

But if the reversal trend happen and then you should change your method to generate the profit from the market. Buy the bottom and sell at the peak to join in the ico is not a good way but that depends on the which ico that makes you interested in it. It's so easy to say that a good ico will give you a lot of profit.

for now I will not buy a new coin, but I will buy coins that are clearly priced on the market such as eos and eth. if you want to buy a new coin, try buying a coin izx which is currently still on the listing at cryptology.com
the current price is very cheap around 0.000003 eth, but this coin is not yet in CMC.
if you afraid of losing a lot of coins, yout should buy eos coins, the exact price that will increase

At present, I do not buy new coins, just i´m holding what I own. Low-value coins can increase by 1000% in the time horizon, but much depends on the price of major coins such as btc or eth.
If high-value coins go up, the remaining coins go up too. It is not a rule, but mostly it is so.

I buy new coin with money that I can afford to lose, feel like small gamble. My target is non top 100 in coinmarketcap and sometimes top 7 days loser, but first I must review specific coins with a good chance to make a comeback.

You can buy now, it is very profitable.  Coins you can choose a perspective and buy. But you can not engage in trading, because in a falling market to trade it is very risky.

For trade normally day trade new coin is not good if it's not in a good exchange or in great volume. But still if you are trading better stay away from new coins. But you can buy new coins if you want to invest in a new place. And if you can take some risk. Cause normally most of the new project don't have that much volume in exchange but some of them are really good. So if you invest in this type project and hold it for long term it will give you some good profit. But when you invest in a unknown token do some research then go for investment.

It completely depends on what the project has to offer. There are too many fake projects out there to waste my resources on. One has to be extremely careful when looking at any new project or coin, most of them are a recycle of what has already been done and unfortunately, most are doing a terrible job at replacing the existings ones. Some are just out to grab monies from unsuspecting investors and then disappearing into thin air. There are indeed a lot of scams looking to take advantage of the decentralized nature of this industry. A lot of research has to go in before one has to part away with any investments on any new coin.

crypto always has coins so we can't focus on old coins, there are times when we have to consider new coins. and advice I don't need to invest too much on new coins, it's better to invest gradually or just invest a little because of the new coins if it develops well it will experience a very high increase.

Depending on the strategy of each person, there are different options. At this point I see the old coin value is not high and the market is gradually recovering. Good time to buy in and wait. The new coin is very hard for me to choose, many new projects and many scams in it.

Many people say that investing in new coins with a low marketcap has more potential. Out of curiosity, I then bought and hold it for the next few months. But what I got was only a loss because some of them continue to decline in value and some even scam, since then I started to stop in buying new coins.

I do not go about searching for top losers as announced by the different exchanges. Whenever i see a coin i like and which has great potentials, i usually take some time out to study such coin for some periods based on it's behaviour in terms of market price. Thereafter, i would much from one of its dip and set a sell order of 50% profit. I do that for most of the coins i have been buying and it works for me.

I also think that buying new coins has more benefits as you can buy them very cheap and they can grow with time very lucratively. It is very important to do your deep research about that new coin that you want to invest in to make sure that it is safe and you are doing the right thing.

I prefer to buy old coins rather than new coins. I am very traumatized by the many new coins that most do not have innovative technology. I see that the number of new coins is just a duplication of the previous coin technology. I prefer to buy old coins that have clearly seen the benefits of the technology. I choose the old coins that are potential for the future such as ethereum, ripple, and litecoin. But I also have new coins where I got the coins after I joined the bounty campaign. The amount of new coins that I have as a gift from the bounty campaign.

The coin or token that I bought depends on the circumstances. I like good news because it has a significant impact. For example, there are coins or tokens that will be listed on one of the beneficial markets such as Binance. Usually, the price will shake out, so I will buy some, prepare a reserve fund because it's quite risky, dyor.

buy the new coins difficult results for the guess. the movement of the new coins could be fast enough because it still lacks stability. Perhaps it would be better if not too focused on new coins unless indeed has a great concept and a team of developers who are good enough to be able to make the coin becomes large.

I do buy new coins but you got to be very careful with the coins you choose. Ask questions before you choose any coin or maybe research about to expert opinion on that coin. Some coins doesn’t have the potential to rise in future, which means they are not worth holding for long term, maybe you can go short term with them and see how it works. Since you’re a newbie I will advise you to choose the coins that have been around for long like LTC, Bitcoin, XRP, ETH and the rest of them. But know that what we experienced in the past does not guarantee what will happen in the future.

Get some of these tokens and hold if the price is not that suitable at the moment for tomorrow. Who knows, it could be the next BTC in future  :)

Buying new coins is really risky because new coins is on stage of developing. We can buy new coin but we need to select a kind of coin that is high potential and maybe high on demand. For me I will surely buy more sold coin which is proven and tested that can give a huge return fro me our investment.
Looking for new coins is better but here the OP is asking for those new coins which just hit the coinmarketcap, means that which just came up recently to the market. In that case I will suggest that he have to invest in those new coins which have a great project and the developers are very active for the further development of their projects, they will give you a good return.

I quoted both :)

You can not expect high demand for a new, unknown project with low price. You can predict potential based on the movement of the price and the acts and progress made in a short period of time. I agree with the second statement, take a look at the core of the project when you are making the decision. Look at the goals, plans and actions of the developing team. I found one that is progressing and it has a certain phase in the improvement, BTCN. Of course, you should first look at the cmc, how long it took for the coin to reach it and the things like that. But with the improvements and the development of the IT industry, you should take a good look at the base of the coin, in the way it was built in the first place. The industry is moving really fast and if you are not improving, the technology and know-how implemented in a certain coin can easily be outdated in a couple of months. That is why each new project should invest the same amount of time in development as in marketing and the community. A coin that not make a difference and increases its demand if the development is not constantly worked on. The one that I mentioned, BTCN, seems to have a potential, for now.

Yes but not all of the time ,
I sometimes buy some new coins that is fresh from the exchange because most of them would be pump for a short time and I could get a profit from it,
But this isn't really safe because sometimes bounty hunters would dump it and also the investors.

I never bought a new coin, only a new coin was a hoax, a new coin could not benefit us, we had to buy coins that obviously could benefit us, I always bought coins that obviously could benefit me, I want to profit, buy BTC coins or ETH
I partially agree with you, it is new coins that can give quite good X, and very big risks, but for this you need to study the project and the product it offers. Undoubtedly, we are waiting for at least x10 for BTC and ETH.

About new coins, we can easily take profits from new coins than old coin, which already in market with long time. But its is so hard to find new coins wth have potential grow. I trust new coin but i always paly safe, split funds, because risk if we only invest in 1 or 2 kind of new coins

Yes, I do it, why not? I remember, recently EOS was a new token. As we all see now, it is in the top-10, and the market capitalization of this cryptocurrency has been only growing. Pick new alts and buy the most promising of them.

Just a few new coins that get pumped at the exchange, most of them just going to near shit. It would be better if buy it after the dump end, so we could see the small rise everyday. That's the one of the way to get a good new coins. But still there is no guarantee that the coin will be pumped immediately.

The new coins that I have all come from my participation in the ICO program. For coin purchases, I prefer classic coins with good ratings that have experience in developing crypto. I think they are more skilled at shaping a better coin future. In addition, they are also more skilled in developing the value of coins and skilled in finding many investors.

At the moment, buying new coins is too risky. No one can give any guarantees. You can just give your money and end up with nothing. I prefer to pay attention to projects that have long been on the market. Which have proven their viability. Perhaps this is not very profitable, but less risky.

When a new coin come to market the volume or marketcap is very low for that coin. After listed on 1-2 good exchange the price will surely rise and you can make some profit. But don't put all your money in new coins. If you want to take some good new coin invest 5-10% of your portfolio in new coins. You will find more in coins in CMC. Just put some effect and do some research on your own.

Coins and tokens that have made it onto the CMC list have at least made it through the stage most projects fail to get to, so at least they have that going for them.

I will say this, investors of crypto watch their investments very closely and I've seen them abandon projects that were seemingly on their way in a matter of hours because of some unforeseen turn of events.

But considering projects need funds to continue and this bear market is having the desired effect from the perspective of the money changers, you can expect the carnage to continue until further notice.

With that in mind, investing in new coins today, even with the requisite research done, is one of the riskiest ways to use your money in the crypto space today.  I've followed and supported dozens of well-meaning projects with good support admins and devs, and with ideas behind them that should be universally accepted, only to see them dwindle away, stop, or just be a plain old scam.

One of the bigger problems for people who want to be into crypto is where to start.  I suggest do your research to narrow the list down, then work a bounty or two to get a further feel for the project and the people behind it.  After that, trust what your heart is telling you.  Don't discount it.  There are too many factors to consider to simple go by stats and figures.

Folks can be succssful that way, but they can also be successful by casting a wide net and accumulating as many crypto assets they can (bounties, drops, MNs, & spent dollars) and holding for the traditional window of 5-10 years for investments.

Something has to give.  Crypto is not going away anytime soon, so you may as well cut your teeth on the steep learning curve sooner than later and start building your stacks today.

My question is, do you usually buy new coins then set your target sell? Or do you just buy from top losers then keep an eye on it?
Thanks for all the responses...
Buying new coin is not a bad idea due to the cheaper price but we have to be very careful on choosing one because we might choose a coin that will have cheaper value in the near future. The project involving the new coin is very important and how well its ICO was launched.

To be honest, I'm not the type of person who buys new coins then sets a sales target. Before I buy a coin, I will look at the technology of the coin and the extent of the benefits the coin brings. Most of the new coins were just duplication of the previous coin technology so I wasn't very interested in buying new coins. I prefer to buy coins that are clearly potential and have obvious benefits. Usually I only buy coins that become the top ten coins. For me, the top ten coins have been tested for fluctuations in the market so that the coin is certain to be able to withstand fluctuating market conditions.

I think its so difficult to trade on top loser coin .There are lots of things related on that .So we need to research the coin first either it has any chance to go up. I actually try to buy new coins when the ICO become finished and bounty hunter get panicked into sell it .I think it could be a good strategy what i usually do.

Not yet ii don't want to buy new coins because of the market fall and it is natural than when market fall the buyers behavior affected and iit is the crypto past that it changes with time and when i know that bitcoin hit $5000 after then i will enter into this process and i will identify the most potential coins then i will invest in that for a profit motive.

yes I bought a new coin, in my opinion my new coin also has the same potential as existing coins. lots of new quality coins, and cheap. so there's no harm in buying a few then holding it for a long time.
for sure, do it now if new coins are on the market the price is much lower for now so the point is you have to buy and see the prospect of the coin so that what you will get is a future benefit, but with patience and risk can be profitable or lost.

Before buying anything, be it a top altcoin or a new coin, make sure that you have reviewed their whitepaper and updated on any updates regarding the coin you are planning to buy. That way, you can ensure that you are investing in a right coin/token.

New listed coins? Yes but not always I would only buy the new listed coins if they have an active community,
But if you are talking about ICO's then I don't I think it is better for me to wait for them to be listed since most of them would be dump and I could buy them way more cheaper than their ICO price.

maybe now I'm afraid to buy new coins because of the conditions and situations like now but all of this cannot be ascertained and surely investors must be clever in taking advantage of the opportunities that will be obtained

Like you, I avoid it now as well. However, before, when the market was not as volatile as it is now, I was very active to deal with new altcoins. Some of them are good for the day trading: you can make money on them quicky.

I prefer buying coins from top-100 on coinmarketcap. Sometimes I invest in some ICOs if they look promising enough. But mostly I gain new unknown coins from bounties and airdrops. I accumulate such new coins and fix them when they are pumped.

You should not think just top losers or gainers, this is a very bad idea according to me. If you want to buy any altcoin, you should research project first, you must look what they are doing, and who is the team members can they manage this work, if you say they are good and project is very good so you can think to do investment.

Absolutely not for now because the projects which eve collected in millions and billions in the last and this year from their ICOs have not got their tokens into any exchanges so we all are just having worthless token for now so doing the same again is not good idea so better buy the already listed coin than any new coins in my opinion.

still at risk even though you get a bonus, you don't know whether or not the tokens will be successful in selling ico.
then you must take into account the roadmap and market plan, so that your tokens have a large volume in trading.

I agree with you. Most projects have just lost 6 months, and their tokens cost nothing. It's risky to buy such coins, so it's better to look at those projects which will be released next year at the new rise!

I'm like you but we are seeing how ethereum or other big projects are dropping everyday, eth was 1400-1500 dollar and now it is 100 dollar so I dont trust to any altcoin since 4-5 months, and perhaps they will disappear with time.

some of the new coins have the potential both to purchased. Buying new coins is more challenging in my opinion and can provide more benefits. But we also have to be smart to find new coins that have good potential. We can see this great potential from real products and a very professional development team. So that when the coin is exchanged, this coin will be able to grow and get investors.

No i don't buy new coins because i don't trust any new coins because most of them don't have real product to sell in the future, so i just spend my money to invest in top coins like xrp and eth. Better just invest in top coins like xrp and eth, or you can invest in good token too like BNB.
buy the new coins as coins ico now not so good, saw the development of the slow market, it will also affect the development of the platform of the ico. It is not good for the new coin. Indeed it would be great for us to invest in coins that are already listed on the Exchange and have a value and a good market, it would be more beneficial.

so that in the future when the cryptocurrency market recovers and gains strength, it will be possible to sell them profitably and make a profit.
selling coins in my opinion does not make any sense so far as the profit will be small.

in my opinion if we are a beginner in crypto investment it is best not to buy new coins because it is very risky. I am also a beginner I prefer to invest in long-lasting coins at CMC and also have a good trading volume. why I don't invest in new coins because new coins are very risky, nothing guarantees whether the coins can last long or not. and most of the new coins now are scams. can not last long in the crypto market.

I do buy some good coins from the CMC and some that are yet to make it to CMC. I ensure I do my research to avoid buying scams and projects that the developers can't execute the road map. I feel buying them now will pay hugely in the future when the bull run steps in or when the project is well developed.

if we want to get big profits in investing, we really have to dare to buy new coins because new coins still have cheap prices, but if their projects run smoothly, they can go up many times and we can get big profits.
but I think it's better to buy coins at CMC because the current conditions are very vulnerable.

I'm also interested in new coins, I think new coins have a greater chance. because usually when you first enter the market the price is far below the price of ico so I can buy cheap for a coin from a quality project.

No serious project will issue its coin to the exchange on a bear market, it is obvious that the price will fall and all your investments with it, so I see no reason to buy new coins in this market, it’s better to wait for the situation to improve.

It’s not worthwhile to buy new altcoins, you can be a great loser. It is better to carefully study the roadmap of the recently released ICO projects and take notes on the main stages of their development. Then track changes in their telegram channels, buying tokens in anticipation of important events, updates and news. Also, there are channels in Telegram, that publish information about the planned listings of tokens on crypto exchanges.  You can use them to buy tokens planning listing on the largest crypto exchanges, such as Binance.

Last year, new projects gave a very good profit. This year the situation has changed. The whole market fell. What processes will occur next year is difficult to predict. But we must understand that new projects are much less likely to survive.

But i am interested for investing in top potential coins, who already proves himself but due to market downfall they are down.

Nowadays I do not buy new cois. And think that lots of people do not do this. First because of the general situation on the whole crypto market, and the second reason is because lots of people lost lots of assets, that is why people do not have money for buying or just are afraid of losing.

I'm not really that into changing from coin to coin. I'm having my positions in coins I do believe in long term. So I'm mainly just trying to accumulate as much as possible and make the best of this bear market. So I'll be full ready for bull market. You want to buy new coin for trading or long term what is your main concern actually? Because if you want for trading than i prefer new coin is the best profit margin from top ranking coin this is my personal recommendations. For long term you have to need keep hodling long time survival coin i mean top ranking coin because random coin is highly risky if you keep stored 2-3years.

Everyone has their own strategies and decisions. I personally will buy a new coin if the coin has a large potential or opportunity according to the observations and analysis that I did. And I myself do not determine when I will sell it, I will sell when I have benefited from the investment I made.

First you do not just go into trading, because you see others do it. You should ask yourself your motive behind it and ensure you learn all the rudiments first.
Then do not buy a coin because you see as on top losers. It is not enough reason to buy. What if it plunges more?

I am buying, this is a good moment for you to enter the game. I would advise you to make your own research and create a plan about the investment that you are going to make. I have a portfolio, that is the best way to minimizes your loses and make sure that this is worth a while for you. I strongly believe that CMC is a good pointer when it comes to making a decision about your investment. According to major opinions and speculations, ETH will be the star of 2019 and I agree with it. So, if you wish to play it safe, choose coins from top 10 or 20 CMC list, as I said, my choice is ETH. And also, if you are looking for a long term investment and you are interested in new projects and possibilities, BTCN is my choice. Make sure to monitor the project, the marketing and the transparency of the project, names behind the idea etc. Also, BTCN already reached CMC and it is being actively supported by its community which is always a good sign.

right, i also trust coins that are on the TOP-10. because it's safer than buying new coins. i am sorry to say this, some new coins are very risky to lose a lot of money. i have tried investing in new coins and the result has been a loss!

so i avoid new coins and prefer coins that are on the TOP-10. indeed all have the risk of losing, but at least the old coins will not easily die.

In my case, want to buy coin those in cheap as preparation of the bullrun happen in the future so when the time comes the cheap coin bought will rise during bullrun and the profit will surely grown. I buy new coins, but very rarely. I give more preference to already established projects that are present on the market for at least 1-1.5 years. I saw people who have been keeping an eye those biggest losers and they just wait for few hours/days for its rebound. You can try that if you want to but don't expect that it will go as expected because you might be stuck. If you'll try it, just spend an amount for experiment.

I periodically replenish my investment portfolio with new coins. I divide them into two categories. First, these are coins that have a good team of developers and are tied to a real product, I use them for a long-term investment. The second category is the coins for short-term trading, which I acquire at a low price in order to sell at its first growth.

New coins tend to be at risk of development, many of them are not ready to fight resulting in the project stopping in the middle of the road. Before deciding to buy a new coin, first, investigate its performance. If the performance is qualified to be able to move forward and to continue to survive in the future, there is nothing wrong with buying since the value is still small like now. And that also the ranking does not exceed 100.

I usually just study them first. I read the whitepaper carefully and if it sounds that they have a great plan for their token in the future, then I would invest at 50% first. If they update regularly and they are pretty neat with their ICO, then the next 50% would be invested in them. Otherwise, I would rather invest the other half to better ICOs.

Buy if they allow being able to compete and fight with other coins in crypto. Don't rush to buy, investigate it first and observe its movements for some time. If it has been proven and is able to grow well, coins are worth buying. After buying, you can't stop monitoring, because new coins are very risky and still unstable.
