Hi guys I need your help on instant exchanges. I want to know your opinion about N.Exchange, ChangeNow, ShapeShift, Changelly. Did anyone use them? My concern is that the final rate of exchange is different from the rate shown in the beginning. ChangeNow tries to fix it with applying “Classic rate” and “Fixed rate”. “Classic rate” is the current rate, but it can be different during the exchange. “Fixed rate” is much worse than “Classic”… really worse!!!
ShapeShift keeps the same rate, but as I read transactions just disappear and people loose money. I’ll appreciate any help, thank you in advance.

I think Shapeshift and Changelly have a solid reputation. I didn't use them myself.

What is the problem? That they are not transparent about the fees?

What type of service are you looking for? (Buy instant with a credit card?)

I want to change crypto to crypto. I think that their fee are transparent, but they don’t exchange at the rate stated in the beginning.

The exchange rate is subject to change during the processing time, which means the final rate may be slightly different from what you expected. This happens because they doesn't use fix currency rates.

These exchanges have a dynamic FEE. The reason is that they set out to offer an instant service. That is, as soon as you send your resource, fiat or crypto, you will receive fastest the crypto you want.

In the other exchanges your resource, fiat or crypto, has already been sent to the platform. And you only trade when it is there. So they need to charge according to the cost of the service you are sending. Credit card, for example, is always very expensive. And the rates vary depending on the company of your card.

In addition, they do not have a Book. This means that there may be a difference between supply and demand at that time.

These exchanges are only useful in emergency situations where you have no other option. But I do not recommend using them.

That's true. I couldn't understand first why I got less than expected. But the difference is not that substantial, so it's not like you are losing much.

As for your question above I don't use instant exchange on regular bases because of their fee it's too expensive. No need going going further i believe vit05 has said it all. If you're satisfy by replies then lock topic to avoid bounty members spamming thread.

If you are looking for some exchange at an emergency or you don't want to login to any exchange and still want to convert your coins you can use shapeshit like exchanges but here the prices will be less and the transaction fee will be more when compared to the other exchanges so if you still okay with that you can use shapeshift for converting because I have done them with many times without facing any issues.But be careful while exchanging big amounts.

If you are not comfortable with the rates then just don't used their service.

If you want a reasonable rates then head to trading platform instead.

If you don't have any choice, then deal with the current rates.

Currently there are scam accusations open against ChangeNOW. Note sure whats going on there.

And i have never heard about N.Exchange.


You should really use such 'instant exchange services' only if you can't use an proper exchange.
Using an exchange should always be the preferred way. Not only are they safer than those service, they are fully transparent about the fees and the rate you'll pay in the end.

I'd never use such a service if i have the option to use an exchange.

I agree on this especially in Shapeshift that was I mostly used during quick trading or exchanging my Bitcoin into other altcoins.
But the rate of Shapeshift transaction fee and it is quite too high for me, that's why if I have other option I'm not using that instant exchange because of too high fees will killing your money. If there is no other option, then let's accept those high fees offered from the instant exchange.

Shapeshift is better. Also may I ask which coins are you really exchanging or willing to exchange ? Because you can also look after the simple Swapping provided by the myethrwallet. I know it only gives you chance to exchange with ETH itself but if you are willing to convert thing for the final trade in the BTC and ETH then this is the best option for you. I am using the SWAP always and it does the job within matter of transaction confirmation. So it is always better to use it as its secure and they have proper support to if anytime your swap fails or have any problem with it.

As far as I know, Shapeshift has a solid reputation but they're requiring KYC now.

So far I enjoyed Changelly as compared to Shapeshift, but its still up to you if you wanted to use those exchanges as the risk is high specially if it involves huge amount of coins.

I dont know about N.exchange when it comes to fast conversions.I dont have any problems with Sharpeshift and Changelly,would say that these are capable and legit ones but now shapeshift already requires KYC so you would need to pass documents before you would able to use it which do really suck and i dont have any other choice but to use up changelly inspite on having some issues.
I dont have any idea about that Fix rate and Classic rate though but ones things assure that they do have higher fees than usual.

Shapeshift is been used already by most people which they convert their Fiat to crypto or crypto to crypto. So what's the problem with these exchanges? Since I used shapeshift, I never lost any penny on my wallet.

Changelly and Shapeshift has a lot of reputation You can swap your favorite cryptocurrency to other cryptocurrency. You can easily transfer it with a low cost fee. Unlike other traditional exchange that you should sell it to btc or eth pair. Changelly can easily change your coins to your cryptocurrency to bitcoin/ Ethereum.

This happens because the rate can change while the process is running. Some of the instant exchanges charge fees more than usual sometimes. It is because they provide instant service.

If you think rate is not good so just do we search to know what exchanges site are good to buy and sell bitcoin in alt coins there is a lot of exchanges better if you going to review it you know if it's good to trade or not better to compare it other to know what is better.

Just a simple convenience mechanism for a fee... its probably worth it if you're selling small bounty tokens or something like that, but in large quantities the fee can really add up and you'd be much better off doing it manually.. I see really no reason to fud them, but I don't use them because of the fees, plain and simple.

if you feel an exchange place like shapeshift doesn't feel safe and makes you lose maybe you can trade or purchase cryptocurrency through other exchanges that have a different trading system and have a small fee.

Have you used changelly? I know they are red trusted in this forum but I have used them several times without any hassle. They try to adjust the rates in such an dynamic market such that the maximum amount is exchanged at the best rate. I dont know or have any idea about their algorithm of doing so but I was happy to get near coinmarketcap rates.

If you are looking to arbitrage your coins they might not be good options. You would be better off going to a proper exchange and selling your coin there.

Talking about shapeshift, they have the "precise" and "quick" options where you can adjust it for either long waiting time+precise exchange or a short waiting time+not-so-precise exchange. Still shapeshift was good till one day they started the KYC/AML guidelines. :-\

Well so far changelly and shapeshift have a decent reputation even though I haven't used them myself I have heard a lot of user feedback. And as far as the exchange rate is concerned it differs as it can change during the processing time. Which means the rate might be different from what you initially expected as they don't have fixed currency rates.

There are some fast transactor coin like litecoin, flash coin etc. You can always use these. But the main thing is, you'd rather be safe than being fast. Also, you do the transaction from a safe site which will help you from being the money disappear.

Approaching any exchange without proper research on it can be dangerous and it often lead people to loose money. Instead of only listening to other's opinion, one should also do his or her own research on the xchange he or she wishes to approach. gGoogle is great help in this regard.

These instant exchanges like shapeshift and changelly are good and become handy when you want quick swap but there fees are so high so i think its better to use traditional exchanges

For instant exchange, I would like to suggest you use Shapeshift or changelly both are well-known in exchanging. A couple of time I used shapeshift to exchange its transaction fees are high but service is very promising and transparent. Though it's entirely up to you pal be cautious to exchange huge amount.

If you are damn worried about servicing rate then you should not use it but at the same time you need to urgent exchange then there are some exchanges services you may pick one of them up. Shapeshift and changelly you may take one of them but listen to their charges rate high but service is pretty much good.

Most masternode coins can help with the instant transactions. Other than that I do not know where all the bad reputation is coming for Changelly as I have never had any issues with them.

Shapeshift and Changelly is great in my opinion. But if you do not like the rate change to trading platforms which have reasonable rates.

What is wrong with shapeshift? It has very good reputation. There are few others alternatives in the likes of flyp.me or CoinSwitch. The latter truly supports anonymity when trading.

There are some very good exchanges you can use. Shapeshift and Changelly have got pretty good reputation. Also Flyp.me is a good option.

Recently I have seen a thread here that so much exchanges right now. So yeah keeping your point continue I want to extend this scope to more exchanges. There is no scarcity of exchanges that are better opportunities for so many people. Right away, you should research about other exchanges if you aren’t satisfied with one exchange. Keep things easy for you as it would decide your results.

These instant exchanges are worthless and should not be trusted, specially Changelly. Some of them have shady information and may just hack your funds when they collected enough cryptocurrency to support their asses. I once using Changelly but when there will be a blockchain traffic in the network like Ethereum blockchain, it will take a day or a week is the worst before receiving your funds. They also collects higher transaction fees so you better start trading to a well known exchanges like Binance instead of relying to these instant exchanges. You are only limiting your self to learn more about trading.
