Title: wondering about the Merit Post by: funcryptoguy on October 26, 2018, 09:41:44 PM hello everyone!
as you can see I am a newbie in the forum, and i use it to get the information i need for my Cryptocurrency world, and being a newbie with no merit does not limit me from having what a need. I can also express my opinion and give my contribution where i have something to say, that is not limited either. now, my wonder is, why all this fight to get the merit? all the accounts are bounty hunters so they need the merits to partecipate? Title: Re: wondering about the Merit Post by: Obiwankenodium on October 26, 2018, 09:49:59 PM Yes that is what they are after. Without at least 1 merit they can not increase their rank to jr member which they need to be able to get a signature.
Title: Re: wondering about the Merit Post by: The Cryptovator on October 26, 2018, 09:52:28 PM why all this fight to get the merit? all the accounts are bounty hunters so they need the merits to partecipate? Fighting for rank up to participate signature and spamming on forum. A quality poster will never fight for merit. Really merit is not required for bounty hunters. Only merit need for signature spam, especially to become Jr. Member. I strongly believe 1 merit is not hard to earn for good poster. It's not necessary to become high quality poster. Few good post is enough to earn 1 merit. If your intention to earn merit from meta then you are on wrong place. Title: Re: wondering about the Merit Post by: marlboroza on October 26, 2018, 09:56:09 PM hello everyone! Hello funcryptoguy!as you can see I am a newbie in the forum, and i use it to get the information i need for my Cryptocurrency world, and being a newbie with no merit does not limit me from having what a need. I am glad one newbie is here for information and not to build little quote pyramids (http://archive.is/9Xs8t).now, my wonder is, why all this fight to get the merit? What fight?all the accounts are bounty hunters so they need the merits to partecipate? Not all accounts are bounty hunters. Merit should be reward for constructive post.Title: Re: wondering about the Merit Post by: CryptopreneurBrainboss on October 27, 2018, 05:09:12 AM and being a newbie with no merit does not limit me from having what a need. here is the truth, being a newbie just have one limit (when it comes to contribution to forum not features), there are some boards you can't participate in discussion there. Like the Serious discussion and Ivory Tower board. Apart from that the forum is all your to voice out your contributions when you have one. And when it comes to merits, don't just put all your attention there instead focus on adding value to forum, Let the forum feel your impact by quality contributions and it's members will reward you with merits. In general,I can also express my opinion and give my contribution where i have something to say, that is not limited either. (1). "Stop searching for merit and you will get them i.e stop commenting or posting just to get merits." . and your stay on forum will be enjoyable Title: Re: wondering about the Merit Post by: Highpitched10 on October 27, 2018, 06:19:38 AM <snip> You're actually a newbie, but you aren't new to the forum in any way as your account is about 4--5 months old And you've made 51 posts in total, 49 of them being unhelpful one line bounty spam in the Altcoin discussion this is good. the more visibility cryptocurrency gets, the more value they gain and more money join in more than a favorite way, it is about the easier/more comfortable way. and for me Coinbase Pro for now does both is not the bounty program enough anymore? You've actually made only two posts outside of the AD spam infested board I wonder what information you garner there And what contributions you've effected on the forum through there You've suddenly awoken to the fact that it's impossible to earn a merit in that board, and then strolled out with a perfectly veiled merit begging technique Good luck with that Title: Re: wondering about the Merit Post by: Ashwin Kumar on October 27, 2018, 07:36:18 AM Hnm. Bitcointalk new policy is really hard that to get junior membership level we must have to have merit otherwise we will stay in newbie always even same here for me as I became junior but I'm newbie..really frustrate...
Title: Re: wondering about the Merit Post by: Looking-upto-vod on October 27, 2018, 07:45:01 AM You have 51 activities as at this post and it's 30 activities and a merit that is required to rank up from newbie. so you sure are not all that new here just that you are have not earned merit yet. Going by your previous activities you need to understand you have a whole learning to do.

Bitcointalk new policy is really hard that to get junior membership level we must have to have merit otherwise we will stay in newbie always even same here for me as I became junior but I'm newbie..really frustrate... I think you are very wrong about such statement. The system is quite very fair on newbies come on you only need one merit and 30 activities other ranks requires so much more. If even before the new merit system you have made more than 50 post and can't attain even just a merit then you have not been helpful to the community. And it's really frustrating for the community to not have been impacted from you rather you gain by wearing signature and working for bounties. Now the requirements of just a single merit is quite frustrating to you? Then sure you have an unfair sense of judgement Title: Re: wondering about the Merit Post by: Jalal ud din on October 27, 2018, 09:43:43 AM I can also express my opinion and give my contribution where i have something to say, You just expressed your opinion here. You're contribution is zero here. A single look at your previous post shows all your contribution ,that how much you contribute with your shity single lines post everywhere. Title: Re: wondering about the Merit Post by: Velkro on October 27, 2018, 11:02:22 AM why all this fight to get the merit? all the accounts are bounty hunters so they need the merits to partecipate? If you dont know what it is about, its about money. This sentence is proven right too many times ;).People are after campaigns, simple as that. There are other reasons to have merit like prestige, but its minor ones. Title: Re: wondering about the Merit Post by: Baofeng on October 27, 2018, 02:17:03 PM hello everyone! as you can see I am a newbie in the forum, and i use it to get the information i need for my Cryptocurrency world, and being a newbie with no merit does not limit me from having what a need. Well the last few years, this forum was overrun by spammers and Theymos made a lot of changes to curb or control them because this forum should be not be treated as mean to earn money to feed their family. If you are here for the right reasons then you wouldn't be concern with merit but to learn all about cryptos. I can also express my opinion and give my contribution where i have something to say, that is not limited either. now, my wonder is, why all this fight to get the merit? all the accounts are bounty hunters so they need the merits to partecipate? As I have said, majority of members here are bounty hunter and since there's a new guideline to get at least 1 merit to be able to join bounties, spambies finding it hard to earn that 1 merit to be able to continue making money out of this community. Title: Re: wondering about the Merit Post by: Marshall14 on October 28, 2018, 06:47:22 AM hello everyone! Welcome to the forum, sure you definitely can get all the informations you need here on the forum,be it trading,bounty,mining,bitcoin/alt coin related etc, just be more attentive and choose to read/comment in quality discussions and threads.. as you can see I am a newbie in the forum, and i use it to get the information i need for my Cryptocurrency world, and being a newbie with no merit does not limit me from having what a need. I can also express my opinion and give my contribution where i have something to say, that is not limited either. now, my wonder is, why all this fight to get the merit? all the accounts are bounty hunters so they need the merits to partecipate? There is actually no fighting about merit in here, its not bad to want to get merits, but the way to go about it matters Working and contributing on the forum would definitely earn you a merit sooner rather than later Title: Re: wondering about the Merit Post by: BlackSociety on October 28, 2018, 07:11:15 AM The Bitcointalk Forum uses Merit to limit user ratings in order to reduce the amount of spam, a strategy developed to improve the forum environment! The level of the account is related to the amount of rewards you can receive when you participate in the winnings!
Title: Re: wondering about the Merit Post by: nngella on October 28, 2018, 11:45:00 AM now, my wonder is, why all this fight to get the merit? all the accounts are bounty hunters so they need the merits to participate? Most bounty campaigns need to be a Jr. Member in order to participate and being a Jr. Member needs 1 merit. However, you can participate in social media campaigns in which being a newbie is acceptable. In my case, I really desire to rank up to have Avatar function. It is a bit silly but I want to have a meme on my avatar or at the very least I can say that I already have access on the privilege available only for high-ranked members. Fighting for rank up to participate signature and spamming on forum. A quality poster will never fight for merit. You should know that many people want to access the other user functions which are only available if you obtain a certain rank. Some examples are posting images, gifs, and even having an avatar. If you do not have these functions, it is because you are a lower-ranked member and you will envy the ones (the higher-ranked) that have the said functions - you need merit to rank-up hence merit is not just for bounty campaign. Title: Re: wondering about the Merit Post by: unEducated on October 28, 2018, 01:24:16 PM I am agree in this kind of system in the forum to know who is the real contributing knowledge and also helping others in making good topic that can we read to enhance more our idea. As a newbie it is a big challenge to us to get merit. Were always thinking what topic should we made that deserve to get merit.
Title: Re: wondering about the Merit Post by: DdmrDdmr on October 28, 2018, 02:13:55 PM <…> Were always thinking what topic should we made that deserve to get merit. But on the other hand, you posting history shows that you have barely posted anything other than social reports, and those other posts are really not appealing to qualify for being merited.I’ve seen that you’ve posted on the Philippine Local board, so I guess that it may be your first language. If that is the case, take a look at the people that are most merited there, as an inspirational base, should you really want to move on and do something else that is not just social reporting. Look through their posting history to see what kind of post they write that get merited. All in all, likely the common denominator is that they have invested time and thought into their posts, which is a pre-requisite really. Bitcointalk new policy is really hard that to get junior membership level we must have to have merit otherwise we will stay in newbie always even same here for me as I became junior but I'm newbie..really frustrate... I do not agree with this statement at all. It is not hard at all to gain one merit. I rarely post on here and found it relatively easy to get merits. Stop worrying about it. Participate, join in with conversations, post your opinion in threads and don't spam the forum. Forget about merit- concentrate on post quality first. Title: Re: wondering about the Merit Post by: erikoy on October 29, 2018, 02:35:30 PM It is so hard to get merit now. Creating a thread and starting a topic to make some concerns about the forum or how helpful the merit system will be distinguished as a post to gain merits. This is not how it will work. Take your time to contribute more on the forum, stop spamming, and be acknowledge. Merits will come upon your post if you will be acknowledge by some users here in the forum. Just try to participate actively and time will come they will going to notice you and then hit you with a couple of merits.
