Title: Boycott Newsweek's Advertisers Post by: shawshankinmate37927 on March 07, 2014, 09:12:28 PM Whether Dorian is Satoshi or not, this man's privacy was violated.
Please join me in boycotting the businesses that fund this behavior by advertising with Newsweek. I will refuse to do business with any company that advertises with Newsweek until Newsweek has apologized and compensated Dorian for this disgusting invasion of his privacy and potentially putting him in danger. Title: Re: Boycott Newsweek Post by: shawshankinmate37927 on March 07, 2014, 09:12:43 PM Here is the list of companies that I've personally observed advertising on newsweek.com since this story broke:

Isn't that your parent's or grandparent's magazine?
Title: Re: Boycott Newsweek Post by: shawshankinmate37927 on March 07, 2014, 10:12:19 PM You read Newsweak? Isn't that your parent's or grandparent's magazine? Not routinely, but I did read the article on Dorian Nakamoto. AFAIK, my parents and grandparents don't read / never read it routinely either. Title: Re: Boycott Newsweek Post by: casinocoin on March 07, 2014, 10:15:04 PM how did they invade his privacy ? Really? I for one would not like the whereabouts of my house known. Title: Re: Boycott Newsweek Post by: OROBTC on March 07, 2014, 10:20:31 PM ...
shawshankinmate37927 I agree, Newsweek showed they are very irresponsable. Shame on them. Boycott them, great idea. Maybe Newsweek is trying to save themselves from dying? Grotesque way of doing so however. Even if it WERE to be the "real Satoshi". Title: Re: Boycott Newsweek Post by: whtchocla7e on March 07, 2014, 11:01:23 PM how did they invade his privacy ? Really? I for one would not like the whereabouts of my house known. Watch out, your house is already visible from the side-walk and most likely the road that runs by it. Your house is already on google maps and any other geo-surveillance site, too. The big brother is already watching you. Title: Re: Boycott Newsweek Post by: franky1 on March 07, 2014, 11:10:08 PM the newsweek, wanted to find the most biggest story in the world to kick start their newspaper, back into print.
... first story they print, leaves their reputation in pieces. no physical evidence, just opinions and hearsay from a reporter. i would truly love to hear a soundbyte or a video recording of the quotes that leah says he said. ... oh wait there is none. just her word as a journalist with a history of lying https://www.facebook.com/groups/152252848262001/ Title: Re: Boycott Newsweek Post by: slaveforanunnak1 on March 07, 2014, 11:23:19 PM Done! And i don't even have to do anything. :D
Title: Re: Boycott Newsweek Post by: jonald_fyookball on March 07, 2014, 11:28:04 PM Boycott Newsweek?

Title: Re: Boycott Newsweek Post by: shawshankinmate37927 on March 07, 2014, 11:38:10 PM Done! And i don't even have to do anything. :D Boycott Newsweek? But i sorta do that already anyway. Wait ... people still read this rag mag? It's the advertisers that I'm boycotting. I'll change the title of the OP from "Boycott Newsweek" to "Boycott Newsweek's Advertisers". Title: Re: Boycott Newsweek's Advertisers Post by: jonald_fyookball on March 08, 2014, 03:25:41 AM lol..boycott the advertisers?

Title: Re: Boycott Newsweek's Advertisers Post by: Beliathon on March 08, 2014, 03:27:23 AM lol..boycott the advertisers? Someone doesn't understand capitalism...thats going a step too far and would never gain traction. lets just boycott newsweek. Title: Re: Boycott Newsweek's Advertisers Post by: shawshankinmate37927 on March 08, 2014, 03:34:50 AM lol..boycott the advertisers? thats going a step too far and would never gain traction. lets just boycott newsweek. Their magazine has been out of print for over a year, so I doubt too many people subscribe to their service. I think most people get their news online for "free" and that most of that "free" news is funded with advertising. Someone doesn't understand capitalism...thats going a step too far and would never gain traction. lets just boycott newsweek. I understand it just fine. But serious bitcoin community is small and people that are mad about Dorian is even smaller. And people that are willing to actually boycott for this , smaller still... You're gonna ask them not to do business with 50 companies ? Ok...not gonna debate. Title: Re: Boycott Newsweek's Advertisers Post by: jadehorse on March 08, 2014, 05:56:20 AM Yes, I utterly agree with this post. It's like Russia are not allowed invade Ukraine, Newsweek couldn't have disturb the privacy of Dorian or Satoshi
