1337 lol really? nerds. <3
I have a tiny personal grudge against Ledger, as they discontinued support for their older wallets and I fear they might do the same thing at some point with their current ones. Do you guys have any view on that issue?
The software and hardware itself is really nice though.

I stick to my trezor for use, though I dig these Limited releases as they've been done tastefully.  As to discontinuance of support...well that feels like planned obsolescence - a real Apple thing to do.  ::)

I’ve heard that this is limited to 5,000 pieces. Not as collectible as the Pizza edition but still pretty neat.

Ha, did the same today. Collecting a ledger. xD
Yes, Trezor's my fav for sure. Starts with the customizeable loading screen - it's awesome.
Haven't tried their new model, though.

Any way to tell if these "pizza" nano boxes are really new?  Its super easy to add shrink-wrap to open boxes.  I want to buy one but am unsure about this.

I imagine sales are slowing down. Pretty much anyone who wants a hardware wallet already owns a Trezor or Nano S so Ledger special editions are a way to boost sales while charging a premium. Trezor is taking a different approach to increasing sales. For years Trezor had an affiliate program only paying 5% per referral sale, so Ledger paid 10% and websites advertised Ledger instead of Trezor. Now the Trezor affiliate program is paying 20% per sale so expect to see websites switching from Ledger to Trezor banners.

Thanks Owlcatz.  This collectibles subreddit is addicting!!  Luckily the Forum severely limits my engagement due to me being a "noob" account so that is preventing me from going on an impulse-buying spree  ;D   I have to remember to send thanks to Theymos from my wife...  8)

Very stylish appearance in a white case. Limited editions will create additional demand for collectors. How many will be released such wallets? 5000 is the exact figure? Does anyone know for sure?

The software and hardware itself is really nice though.

Trezor was first and Ledger had to play catch up and went through a few products that were not as capable as Trezor until the current Nano S. I don't see them discontinuing the Nano S while they did say eight months ago they were only making 20,000 more Ledger Blues but will continue to support it. I own both Trezor and Nano S and prefer the Trezor user experience to Nano S. YMMV. Trezor is doing the right thing, keeping the original in production and lowering the price while adding the new more expensive Model T to their catalog.

Aye...I agree......Trezor is doing right. The latest is the best! :D very user friendly and support is great too.

I spoke to a Ledger rep and they confirmed 5,000 were made and as of right now there are about 3,000 left in stock.

Have to hand it to Ledger, they market a hardware wallet that is designed not to be used but collected instead because opening the box and using it would hurt the value to a collector. 5000 is too many though ... I believe only 1337 of the Pizza Day edition were made.

I swear by my Trezors.  Didn't like the Ledger because I had to re-load software onto it to hold multiple coins.  I kept having this nervous feeling that I was losing my keys.  I'm guessing the newer Ledgers solved this?  But I'm too in love with my Trezors to switch at this point.

No, it's still the same, but I've never lost my keys by reloading/adding/removing any software. The only thing (IMO) better about Trezor than Ledger at this point is the ability to keep notes on transactions. :P

Yes the note keeping feature is a cool item that has long been overdue!

My android Mycellium has it and that is one of the key features I love about Mycellium too!
