Title: Hashrate Distribution Chart Post by: cbeast on November 02, 2011, 02:04:14 AM The chart from bitcoinwatch.com (http://bitcoinwatch.com) was removed. Is there somewhere else to see where the mining pools stand?

Anybody know why it says I found a block? I am not mining... Title: Re: Hashrate Distribution Chart Post by: DeathAndTaxes on November 02, 2011, 06:25:01 PM Anybody know why it says I found a block? I am not mining... Maybe your brain mines hashes in your sleep? Seriously I think all of the "identifications" are based on reported IP. If someone reported IP x = Gavin .... Title: Re: Hashrate Distribution Chart Post by: piuk on November 03, 2011, 09:54:57 AM Anybody know why it says I found a block? I am not mining... Gavin, your ip was listed on https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Fallback_Nodes (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Fallback_Nodes) so I added it to my known nodes list. Anomalies usually occur when i'm not connected to the node that finds a block then it will be almost random whoever relays it to me next. Let me know if you want your ip removed. Title: Re: Hashrate Distribution Chart Post by: wareen on November 03, 2011, 10:12:38 AM Since Gavin clearly stated that he does not mine (anymore), removing his IP from your database would probably be a good idea regardless if he minds being listed.

I don't just have miners in the database, the categories are: "Miner", "Merchant", "Exchange", "Misc" - Gavin is in Misc (where i put all the fallback nodes). Ok, I understand - maybe you should only include the Miner category in the list of found blocks then?Anyway, just a suggestion - I very much appreciate your site! Title: Re: Hashrate Distribution Chart Post by: DeathAndTaxes on November 03, 2011, 03:22:53 PM Great site. Can you add a larger historical timeframe also. Like block % over the last month, quarter or year.

Title: Re: Hashrate Distribution Chart Post by: cbeast on November 05, 2011, 11:12:48 AM Perhaps the bandwidth requirements are too high for this type of chart?
Title: Re: Hashrate Distribution Chart Post by: Fiyasko on November 05, 2011, 05:39:20 PM i Find the chart to be extremly inaccurate anyways

Wonder why bitcoinwatch.com took it down in the first place !?!? Title: Re: Hashrate Distribution Chart Post by: piuk on November 09, 2011, 01:13:50 AM Great site. Stats will be screwed up for a while as it's been down for a few days. Bandwidth is about ~35GB Month. |
