Just want to share the details about the people who ever thinks that why we need to use just paper as currency and we all are working hard to get those paper.People claiming that bitcoin is not virtual so it cannot be considered as money or they call it as scam or ponzi but they are using just papers for centuries and those paper currency were made out of thin air.

That's because paper currency are believed to have value and are also legitimate by the government, so paper currency can be used to buy all your needs. Not because of the paper, but because of the approval from the government and also a belief that it has value.

I have found that most people are uninformed about how fiat money really works, it's astonishing how many people still believe that fiat money is backed by gold.

I am from the USA and I have found that there is a strong (albeit delusional) belief in the dollar, especially from the baby boomer generation who has experienced mostly economic prosperity throughout their entire lives. Nothing against them or anything..I am not a millennial so don't hate me!

In my opinion once someone understands how crypto-currencies are digitally scarce it changes their entire outlook on all money and the light bulb goes off in their head.

Simple, it was ever brought by our ancestors to believe that it has value to it and then they decided to use it for their currency to use and they all agree with it.

There are many shortcomings of paper money and many stories of conspiracy from paper money, but clearly money and currencies are very different, I also don't understand whether crypto is including money or currency.

Well for one, we are bound to a certain country that issued a certain currency that is widely used by people. Also, we receive several services and privileges from the said government, too, and by that means they can issue money out of paper and a few metals and tell us that it's worth something since we benefit from it. Because we are bound by laws to use and treat the paper with a certain value, we cannot break it as long as we're under a certain country. The thing is, people unconsciously agree that something is worth something if a person with authority or greater knowledge says so. Accept it or not, we are being controlled by our own governments just by using their issued currency and making us believe that it is really worth something.

When I was young, I often asked myself why people use paper money, things we hold are nothing more than ordinary paper. And bitcoin, though they have no value in artifacts, they also have a lot of value

But before the currency was backed by gold or something valueable but now it is made up of nothing,just those governments were printing more money every year based on their need which is the reason why we are in inflation now.
Which literally means we are just slaves to our governments of they say some paper has value we need to follow them.Then why not we agree bitcoin too have value.This the thing what people need to know.

Paper currency was not originally meaningless, gold used to be the currency and then people realised instead of transacting with gold they could just have paper slips which were redeemable at a bank for gold, that's where paper money was born from. Now the value is attributed based on the belief of banks and the government to maintain that value and honour it. If the people lose that belief we see hyper inflation like we've seen in Argentina, Venezuela etc.

I agree. A paper will not be valuable if guaranteed by the government as a legitimate currency paper that is permitted to circulate, and to make it authenticated that the paper is guaranteed by the government, they provide special signs that cannot be or are difficult to fake

Yes I wonder it and I thought about it a lot and it was just paper and People excepted it for a precious commodity and use it for to buy something and I think it is not the modern way to use paper money in this century cryptocurrency can be modern money for this century.

Then what would you gonna like to propose? on what we would use up? Those papers or coins is already being used up since the beginning of time after on using up those bartered items.It seems you do really need to read up more about Fiat money history. We might oppose on the other means but i dont see any options that we would use up and easily replace fiat currency.

Fiat money like coins or paper money is a symbolism that represents the status or a person and their country in my opinion. Also it dies have the same way of getting its value just like gold, silver, diamonds and even cryptocurrency and that is by us the people or market putting value in it.

Like it or not, fiat has value as long as we accept it as form of payment, regardless of how much of a slave we are to our governments.

I accept it as form of payment, and so do billions of others. Do you think even 1% of the billions of people using fiat think of it as if they are using a currency that's forced upon them by their government? They use it because it's convenient, enjoys near 100% acceptance, allows them to enjoy buyers protection, etc.

Most people here gladly accept Bitcoin if you want to buy stuff from them, which means that Bitcoin enjoys just as much value as fiat, and maybe even more in some fields.

Yes, a paper money that every country has its own is the traditional monetary system and it has a market value among the all fiat currency on the entire world, and on this digital world the people sees that electronics money is a convinient way of making payments so it was accepted by many and crypto currency will digitalized all the fiat and traditional way that we have now for the new generations.

Very simple, because our government decided to do this. We are not on our own and we are subject to our authority(i have never wanted to be on our own). We have to follow the rules that they create, if not, humanity cannot live much. And the method of payment was accepted paper money. If you transfer this to people, everyone creates a distinctive type of money.

Honestly, I think that they're confusing a ponzi scheme and a bubble. Bitcoin's prices were sky high last year and obviously retrospectively was in a bubble, but this doesn't mean that bitcoin is a ponzi scheme simply because of that.

I don't know why certain individuals would rather believe in something centralized that can be completely manipulated and destroyed by the government or the central bank (just look at Venezuela as an example), rather than a currency that is decentralized and with a limited supply in bitcoin. Makes no sense to me.

Well, you've kinda answered your question - Bitcoin is even more "worthless" than paper money, because it's just a sequence of ones and zeroes. Money is valuable when people believe that it's valuable. Often times opponents of fiat currencies are fans of gold standard, but gold is only different from paper money because it's scarce - if someone would find a huge source of gold, it could become just as worthless in one day. Bitcoin just makes things easier because everyone knows exactly how many Bitcoins are in existence and how many there will be.

I never asked myself such a question. We probably used paper money since the usurers appeared, who were the first to start issuing promissory notes or documents that recorded the amount of debt and the amount of interest accrued.

Actualu i dont definetly wonders why we using paper money,because we already know thats since from the start in order to become civilized and formal trading transaction  or barter we used paper money as an representative of gold,therefore the money we used daily in trading and spending have an equivalent amount of gold in the banks so therefore a country could not create  more money without corresponding certain amount of gold in the banks as monetary fund.

Of course it is very convenient to use a paper but they made us to think like that,which is the problem of being centralized currency.They made us to believe those paper are the valuable one but it is not the banks were creating those paper as much as they want and we are just going back with them just like sheep without ever wonders why our value of money getting decreased.

I think we use money as a paper because at first we use copper or metal as a money long time ago and its like too heavy to us to use it as our main money, so people's idea were so amazing because they invented all of this to help us paying easily and because of this metal, paper or digital money will give as a fair situation to do hard work to what we want.

Those governments also were just controlled by the group of people so they may use this system for their purpose if they want and hey also doing that so trusting a decentralized supply and demand currency is better than trusting currency controlled by some group.

I completely agree with you. Fiat currencies are not backed up at all and have no actual value. Unfortunately, such a financial structure was formed over the years. But cryptocurrencies, in fact, are also not backed up by anything. The only thing of actual value so it's precious metals, real estate, land.

The country who first use a paper or folding money is the chinese people during the Tang Dynasty which lasted about 500 years. Later on adopted in europe in 17th century then later on adopted all over the world.

Long time ago people are just trading products that they dont have. Then we use copper, then silver and gold to buy goods and items. Because of our ancestors creativity they built a paper money and coins with the specific value with the support of the government which was widely use all over the country.

This is a funny question, I think we have a long history of transactions from time to time and continue to evolve. until that's where bitcoin was created as a new invention in this century in digital technology.

Paper is worthless, fiat system is unfair. I prefer like to get salary in form of gold or silver because the price is always move inline with the commodities price. So there is no inflation and it can't be manipulated. Actually bitcoin also has no intrinsic value but it has almost of the characteristics of gold. Paper money is banknotes and bank create it to make our transaction practical but bank in the past have lent their customers gold to gain profit.

We need paper money cause its not complicated to use, paper money is the new generation of trading things. if we don't have paper money buying small things will be complicated and it also balancing our daily life to have an easy transaction when we want to buy things etc.

Paper doesn't give us the feeling of safe anymore. We all know about all of those schemes of early 90s. They also used paper money, self made money, which gave to people the feeling of true thing.
Our planet is full with old generation who used to use and trust to paper money, that's why they see crypto which cannot be touched as something unsure. Young generation which understands and use such things as bitcoin is very low and we need really much time to involve bitcoin in our daily life.

Anybody that think or believed fiat money are backed by gold definitely lack knowledge about how currencies works and the last time I checked fiat currencies was created because gold which was first used as currency is not easy transport and divide. I love paper money because I can feel it, I can "smell" it, I can count it in hands and I have feeling of spending money unlike digital money where I do not have that feeling. On the otherside I do not love paper money because you have to spend it physically or trust someone other to spend it.

Let's just say that it is the alternative way of trading things, foods, livestocks which seems to have a different value and is sometimes too heavy to carry. We use paper money because its approved by the government to use and its effectivity compared to gold if in the early years we discovered the bitcoin/blockchain then I think its the currency we are already using right now because of its finite supply compared to fiat.

Money is being made because they are paying money, this is not made out of thin air since if they do, do you think we will be able to see it? Most people don't know about gold's role in the past either. Most people don't know shit about money. All they know is that they need it. I dunno if it would be beneficial if the populace en masse realised what a wheeze it all was. Better to remain blissfully ignorant.

The reason we have strong believe in paper money is because is  was invented by Government and we believe our Government are always doing what will benefit it citizen and it has being effective for ages. If bitcoin was invented by U.S Government by now bitcoin would have being globally adopted.

Although paper is a cheap material, it is money. Money is very important in society now. As the world grows, money becomes more important than ever. More money will show you are a good person and a better person to help the society. Modern society is no longer the same as in the past.

I don't. I mean it is the easiest method of carrying your money in your hands, it has been going on longer than you think. In roman times people would give papers that shows the amount owed to them. Say you give someone a whole farms products than he would give you a paper stating he owes you certain amount of coins. You could use that to purchase other stuff and get your money back and those people you gave the paper to can collect it from the initial buyer when the time comes.

People are still using money including me because it's a human nature already and we can not just jump right into using crypto and leave fiat currency for so many reasons. One good reason there is that i can use fiat currency instantly when i buy food in restaurants or when i watch for movies. Honestly the currencies are not issued by the government,it all were created by the central banks of each country and governments agrees to issue them to the people but on what basis they were printing is still a myth.

And paper money is becoming an official mean payments.  Differently, crypto and bitcoin is decentralized that there is no entity controlled it. The price is depending on the holder itself. Consequently, bitcoin is only for them who believe in it. We can't force or ask somebody to believe in.

The fact is that a lot of folks have hated paper money since it was first issued.  I'm no history expert, but I know there was a time in the 1800s and before when if the money in your hand did not have intrinsic value, i.e., if it wasn't made out of precious metals, it was just funny money.  A lot of those people wanted gold or silver only, and it would be interesting to see how they'd react to today's world, where not even paper is necessary to buy or sell something.  I think they'd be baffled by the concept of something like cryptocurrency or even paying for groceries (or whatever) using your phone.

all matters relating to legitimate transactions in a country, must be approved by the government, and all are also regulated by law. so we can't protest why paper is made money. if someday bitcoin is legalized by the government, it is not impossible if money is digital.

Even if they are made out of thin air, they still have value and are far much better than other systems you may have chosen. You can’t choose trade by barter, will you? Nope you won’t. Even if you talk of using Bitcoin, you know that’s not a better option. Paper money is physical and that helps us to make use of it anywhere no matter what, you don’t need internet.

Banks now makes it easy for us, we don’t have to carry money around, you can easily make transaction through your bank without having to be there or whatever. Fiat lots of advantages over crypto. Crypto do have advantage which is being fast and less cost of transaction.

right, we live in a country so we have to follow the rules in that country. for now in my country I have not legalized crypto as a currency, so it is in accordance with government regulations where paper money is recognized for transactions

I know it is hard to change the system but I really think sometimes that if we have thousands of better opportunities with crypto currency then why we still stick to the paper money. I know it’s worth using for our nationality but the betterment is to change with the time and to move towards development that’s our fair right I guess.
