I don't know the details, but I have heard that they've been bought out. Hopefully this means that they will make the necessary changes and continue on.

I hope so. I rely on it for their litecoin merchant tools. Haven't found another service as good as this. If they don't reopen, I'll be forced to stop accepting litecoin. Pretty gutted actually.

My understanding was that if you are doing virtual to virtual trading you are discluded since you are not taking the coins into any real value on the site.  I'm not sure how this site worked but were you somehow allowing people to get something of value with their coins directly?  maybe it was a direct enough link?  I talked to some lawyers yesterday and they said virtual to virtual is currently ok but it could change any day..

I would like to wish CoinPayments all the best and hope they can continue! They have done a lot for non BTC coins!

There's an announcement on the site saying they've been bought over. It doesn't however, explain if there's any downtime as a result. Which, as a merchant, is rather unnerving.

When it comes to crypto direct payment is the way to go, it's a shame but escrow and payment processors leave you open to much lost sleep.

That is sad. I hope they continue. I know of a project which is suffering because of this :(
